    My friend got stabbed 15 times in nyc, almost died. The aggressor was found guilty and only spent 1.5 years in jail, and when she was released, my friend was never told or had any say in it

    I know I'm over-generalizing, but it just feels like the criminals get way more protection than the victims. All this guy has to do is plead insanity and act crazy and he'll get off. Had the victim defended herself in some way found to violate the law or the guy's civil rights, she'd be the one going to jail. Heck, we pay taxes to have police service, but we are the ones going to jail if we don't pay up. The world is upside down and ass-backwards.

      The state failed them, the NYPD is not required by law to protect or help anyone. The is a case where a guy was stabbed in front of officers, he sued and the judge pointed out that legally the NYPD is not required to help anyone.

      In NY the Koreans and Chinese vote democrat and this is what they get. 80% of Asians and Jews vote democrat as long as they have and Medicaid health insurance. I’m a physician in Queens and I can tell you 8 out of 10 have Medicaid because Medicaid doesn’t ask for tax returns and they have cash businesses so they fall in that gray area of free free free.

      She didn’t look behind her when she was followed by this homeless murderer. She continued on into her building with this murderer right behind her and he was able to enter with her right up the staircase, into her apartment where he murdered her. What was wrong with her? Not really security minded to be aware of her surroundings. Was she on her cellphone? We’ll never know. You cannot rely on the police for anything!!!

    Unfortunately the family is in for another shock. By law, the NYPD is not required to help anyone or to stop any crime. There is a semi-known case where the officers feet away watched as a man was stabbed in the subway, and they did not intervene until the victim fought the stabbed down. The victim sued and the judge dismissed the case because by law they are not required to stop any crime or save anybody’s life. The state failed them and others.

      I remember the case well; Joe Lozito was stabbed repeatedly by a drug-crazed spree killer in the subway while two NYPD officers locked themselves in a conductors booth and listened to his screams. You are on your own in NYC; NYPD is only here to harass and intimidate innocent, unarmed people because dealing with violent criminals is far too risky.

      RIP Christina and condolences to her family but the average patrol officer is not equipped to bust down a locked door. These nyc apartments have heavy fireproof doors which you can't simply kick in, they most likely called in a swat team as a hostage type situation and had to figure out the plan of entry which is probably why it took that long.

    I remembered when this incident happened and I also remembered when an Asian woman replied to a comment of mine, in DEFENSE for the murderer because he was "homeless" and "mentally ill." And I felt disgusted then and I felt disgusted now. I've never seen other countries, mentally ill and homeless do this type of stuff. Only America's.
    Tokyo built safety barriers to prevent their mentally ill from offing themselves in Train stations. NYC wanted to build to prevent their mentally ill from PUSHING people onto oncoming trains.
    Imagine being so propagated that you wouldn't even stand up for your own f*cking people and the crimes against them, especially when crime against them increased during that period and overall. But that's just how so many Asian and South Asian women think when it comes to their people.

    Did the police just hang around outside hoping for the suspect to escape before they got there? How did they wait a whole hour after people heard screams? I wish she knew how to fight instead of scream. NYC people are known for doing nothing when someone needs help. It is like a big meat grinder.
    How could it be prejudice against Asians right in Chinatown? How long was this man stalking her, and did she report it to the police before that? This news report has some holes. Maybe this was a kind of hit. How does Nash now have the nerve to say he didn't kill her when he was hiding in her apartment? Crazy or not, he is guilty.

    It's not NYPD's fault. It's the fault of law makers, elected officials, local and federal, lawyers, judges, even the jury in NYC. The system is failing. Everyone is afraid because they don't want their life interrupted by people who don't care about life. Then there is political correctness that cost her life. She held the door open for the guy I think. It's a sad case and I wish people who don't want violence or drama in their lives had a government that advocates for them. There is only 1 country in the world that's actively fighting for regular citizens right now and it's not America.

    why are we not marching in multiple cities for this innocent woman who's life was cut short by a criminal that was not supposed to be on the street and had a record? where is the national outrage? the cops playing their typical game of showing up late when the victim is in trouble. but if the victim had a gun & used it in self defense & they knew, they'd be there in less than 5 minutes with several squad cars, i guarantee it.
