This is so dumb. Sleight of hand palmed the ring at the beginning. A gimmicked bag to hide the ring, like a double layer of paper. Thread the ribbon through the gimmicked bag which hides the ring. So dumb. 1/10.
I don't understand how it is dumb! Explaining a method publicly is unfair! Also Beautiful showmanship by both Morgan and West along with a nicely polished entertaining routine, I presume you are a Magician based on your answer but appreciate for non members of Hogwarts this would be a really impressive routine!
Michael Pride he’s not a magician; if he was, @markhuirua would know the effect has absolutely nothing to do with magic, and the presentation is everything that makes it magical. Luckily, these two performers are very aware of this fact, and that’s what makes it so enjoyable. Beautiful job.
Carol there’s no right or wrong here. This is dumb in my opinion. And imho, many of their illusions are also brilliant. I like to be left stymied and bewildered at the end of a performance. In today’s world of highly skilled performers, there is choice for everyone. My taste is for magic that leaves me baffled. Remove this aspect and it dilutes to watching a choreographed theatre play. It keeps the standards high. Most people vote with their feet. I decided to share my post in the hopes my feedback may reflect other viewers who just walk away. Hopefully my feedback assists these performers to become aware of aspects of their show to improve. But depends on who their target audience is. The choice of routine needs to leave me bewildered if they want me to follow them on UA-cam. Thank you!
mark huirua I think it’s fairly apparent these two haven’t made it their life’s ambition to garner follows on UA-cam, from you or anyone else; based on the level of creativity and attention to detail, I’d say their concern is more in the development of a high-caliber theatrical performance. And like all theater, magic is meant to be experienced in person. Definitely not on UA-cam.
