Well if he did he'd probably be doing magic tricks that aren't just same old cards it's the black mat that is the trick anytime I see this where they instantly appear it's always with a black felt looking mat under neath
@@NoSaiCeeNxT It is amazing because it is difficult to perform. It's not the world's best historically, obviously, but this routine at least won a world championship. Also, I am curious to see if you can understand the trick behind the clothes changing colors. Is it lighting, a thin black film?
I couldn't decode most of the tricks except for first shirt change trick 1:50 . You can easily see the first shirt or 'first layer of cloth' being pulled back as he leans forward. The card trick in beginning were also easy. On top you see red deck of cards and below we can't see blue deck of cards. Now it's just slide of hand. Wtaching at 0.25x speed . Observed at 1.04 sec how he is distributing the cards. One from the top the pink ones. And the blue are being taken from the bottom. Smoothly performing the trick. Nice one
That bit where he throws a card away and uses the misdirection to pull the black cloth covering his red and blue waistcoat off with his hand under the table is just masterful.
His hand movements are excellent...the changing cloths if you watch frame by frame is some kind of tear away that he pulls down very rapidly...also he has a special table that hides or reveals cards...if the black color of the table color was lighter, you would be able to see the trick. Absolutly fabulous show though and the gent has excellent talent.
When he turns the red cards blue he deals the card from under the deck not the top. He uses his thumb motion as if hes dealing from the top but you can see his pinky pushing the cards out
Eric’s magic is beautiful. He is such an artist… and he is such a likable fellow too. He has the likes of Shin Lim, Dynamo and Copperfield on speed dial. I love this routine so much, but his coin magic is just as sensational.
This video is now being used as an example of how NOT to do outro cuts in several universities due to the careless lack of screen persistence for the last trick.
@@dopemadden1106 only thing that wasn't 100% imo was the taking blue from bottom of deck and red from top... Everything else is mesmeric but I thought that was to easy to suss... Tiny petty flaw 99.9% impressed... Even watched it again today months after 1st time viewing... Awesome routine
Yep! It's used in the trick for a reason because the human eye has problems picking up black material. Things that don't have much light picking them up makes it harder for us to see. The material he uses has slits in different parts which allows him to slide cards into them as to make them "vanish" you can also do this with coins.
It's called the black principal or something similar. He also uses other types of gimicked tables. I assume he will do his candy Rubic cube trick next where a cube pops up from under the table via device
Well of course it's all the black cloth on the table just like shin lim on penn and teller... Doesn't make all the insane tricks and sleights any less impressive or insane to pull off. Alot of it has to do with the cloth and certain hand motions where he dumps things into his lap(idk if he does but it's one common technique with this style)
Now that people have pointed it out, yes the black cloth is very important to his entire routine. However, it is insanely impressive how creative he uses it and how exceptionally clean all of his illusions are. Amazing performance!!! As stated above, even though the black cloth is part of the trick, I want to express that it honestly doesn't make his illusions any less impressive. Give 99% of magicians the same set up and I can guarantee all of them won't be as perfect as this performance. It is hard to express how skilled you have to be to make everything look so clean and natural. This routine is the culmination of years and years and years of dedicated, meticulous practice. Well done sir.
All slight of hand, some clever prop organization, video editing and a sound track that makes it seem like he's performing for a live audience. 1:50 watch this video at x25 speed and you'll see when he leans forward he grabs his vest with his left hand and pulls down hard to reveal the blue/red layer. 5:18 he does it again to reveal the black layer. Often he is dealing from the bottom of the deck and dumping cards/coins under the table where he has either an assistant or a clever prop organizer. The ribbon down the middle is a video editing illusion at times, plus he hides the edge of the felt with his hand to shadow the effect so you can't see the edge of the black felt is attached to the ribbon. VERY clever illusionist. This takes massive skill, practice, and some special effects.

Eric’s magic is beautiful. He is such an artist… and he is such a likable fellow too. He has the likes of Shin Lim, Dynamo and Copperfield on speed dial. I love this routine so much, but his coin magic is just as sensational.
He is Taiwanese actually. Born in Taiwan and served in the army like every other Taiwanese man. Fantastic magic, bravo.
So, he is Chinese. LOL 😂
just the way he performs it and his motions and gestures are incredibly beautiful. wow. well done sir!
Words fail me - this guy is absolutely incredible! Beautifully staged and acted!
"staged and acted"? You mean it's not magic? I'm so crushed.
Or is it staged and acted. 🤨
this transition is better than any tiktok video period.
shut the f up thanks
Its on live you don't even know what you talkin about
hahahahaha im joking yall was tricked?
@@cleric4314 what's ur problem
@@peterkotar2324 My problem? He literally said he's fake, wake up
Hey, putting that informative text on the screen really enhanced the illusion and wasn't distracting at all. Thanks.
There will always be someone coughing in the audience
This video is now being used as an example of how NOT to do outro cuts in several universities due to the careless lack of screen persistence for the last trick.
The Asian level strikes again!!!!
This is what i call *MAGIC*

One of the best magic routines I have ever seen. Stunning sleight of hand combined with one expensive table.
Why expensive table ?
Could tell me how it's done ?
@@arilord9858 He steps down on a pedal or something and it triggers the special magic table to do stuff.
Real sorcery disguised as mere performance tricks.
All jokes aside... That is epic routine... Almost flawless... Beautiful showmanship 👏👏👏
Wdym almost
@@dopemadden1106 only thing that wasn't 100% imo was the taking blue from bottom of deck and red from top... Everything else is mesmeric but I thought that was to easy to suss... Tiny petty flaw 99.9% impressed... Even watched it again today months after 1st time viewing... Awesome routine
Ultimate trick: I made myself appear on the television,
When I switched it off.
Nice try but i know im under genjutsu!!!
This is so underated comment
colorblind people: why are people clapping so much 👁👄👁
I have a partial colorblindness and it took me few minutes to realize those cards are dividend based on two different colors after I looked closely
Hmmm there is something fishy about that black cloth 😂😂
Genius
Pen and Teller be like.. great performance but we know how you did it.
Color blind people: "why are they cheering?"
At 1:51 he pull his black cover of coat with his left hand . Watch at ×0.25
YOU RUINED 5TH IS SHOW!! I DON'T LIKE YOU!
This is it, now I'm starting to believe in magic.
I think this trick has something to do with the black table and the sharp lighting 🤔
