I'll never understand youtubers who post videos about a card and refuse to include the information that actually matters. Everybody knows how a 4070 chip performs. We just wanna know how this specific card performs in terms of GPU temps, memory temps, hotspot temps, fan noise, and coil whine.

There are 2 versions for this 4070 the is a just ventus 2x and one e after that where they have fixed the overheating issue.
Got the e version 2 months ago with i7 13700 and its great
Do you know what is changed? I don't know which one I got as the vendor I ordered from didnt mention, but on a label on the package the "E" was there.

@@jonnyfontane3607 E stands for Essentials. They made some updates to the versions as well. I ended up returning mine. Had 0 issue but it was growing on me.
Idk what it stands for but im pretty sure on the E there is a thermal pad on the side of the card with the 8pin power connector that is very clearly not on the non E@@jonnyfontane3607
the E version is basically same but has fixed VRM heating issue

its compatible but you may get bottlenecking with the cpu
Hey man... Just got this and tried it on my 7 year old motherboard, PCIE3 slot. I'm rather sure my slightly older AMD A10 processor and 16gb DDR3 RAM are "not happy" with it, ergo blatant limitations with older hardware. So newer MSI Tomahawk MB and i7 processor are on the way (oh, starting at 64GB DDR5 RAM). I'm optimistic it will do fine after that; And my tower case has a LOT of airflow too.

Been cool so far. Your rig should be ok. Would opt to upgrade it personally to get the most out the card
in the up right corner i think that you enabled the view for the wrong graphics card x3 it says 0% usage, i think its the apu one x3

there are a lot of complaints about this gpu running hot. has anyone who has this card noticed this? or have they fixed this issue?
Just got mine last week, bad ass graphics card. I have yet to oc it though so I haven’t pushed it to the likit
Never had any problems yet
i think MSI graphics card are not yet undervolt. Undervolting will make it cooler and it doesnt impact performance. MSI really runs hot just like my 2080 Super but when undervolt perform it went 10c' lower.
Got mine a week ago, GPU seems to work and cool fine. Even pushing it, never went over 68c. Ambient room temp for me must be like 28c
I have it and it's extremely cool. Most of the time it doesn't exceed 60° in Cyberpunk on ultra with RT enabled. Though I have Ventus 2X E OC version and I've heard that this version fixed some problems with VRM.

Rtx 4070 windforce oc 12gb has better cooling, lower temperatures and better work culture, it is quieter
This gpu kinda hot on memory and hotspot while 2000 RPMs

we have the same cpu. and i am tempting to get this as well. as far from my research its has only 10-15% bottleneck. which is not too bad.. and still a big upgrade i believe.
