All of these are books that I have read and found valuable for one reason or another as far as my business goes. I don't follow any business "gurus" or motivational speaker types, but these are all books that I've enjoyed reading and thought they were good for business takeaways.

This channel is for home-based creative businesses and anyone who sells products online and specifically on Etsy. I do Etsy tutorials and share Etsy tips to help small business owners get their businesses to where they want them to be. If you have questions about Etsy SEO, how the Etsy search algorithm works, selling on Etsy, or how to start an Etsy business and sell successfully on Etsy, post a comment or a question in the community tab!
Whow, this was soooooo interesting. Went and checked my pins. Most of them had the correct tags in my 2nd browser (I can't put tags while creating a pin though.)
What puzzled me is the pin that shows three big brown jugs, on a wooden dresser, vintage earthenware, described as such, with a title that has vintage, decoration and jugs in it. The board is "Vintage ceramics"
The tags used by Pinterest were "buy yarn" and "nice behind" 🤔🤔🤔 None of this is mentioned in the pin or my etsy shop, where the link is going to. Neither yarn nor human rear ends. I wonder what happened here...
Sometimes it just makes you wonder what Pinterest is smoking.
Exactly my thoughts.... @@KaraBuntinTutorials
If you add text to a Pin image, will the font make a difference for whether Pinterest can read it or not?
Alt text and the font on the pin are different. I don't know if the text on the pin matters, but if it's really script-y and people can't read it they probably won't click on it.
Do you know what tag translation and audience look like? I live in a non-English speaking country, but my products are aimed at English speaking audiences. I sell my products mainly in the United States and some in Europe. I create all my listings on Etsy and my website and my pins in English, but of course Pinterest shows me the tags in my language, even though they are written in English. Does my country of origin limit my visibility in other countries?
No, it will be translated and shown to people based on your keywords.not your location, as far as I know.
I checked out one of my pin URLs in the incognito browser and saw that a specific pin was being found for something that didn't describe the item BECAUSE I made an error in the listing (I copied and edited an existing listings and forgot to change the attributes & description for a new color variation). Oh well. I edited the listing and the Pin, but not sure if the error results in a history that can't be changed now.
Could be...You can always repin it with the right information.
i was the 100th like...........yay
Yay
I don't have the Tag option in my Pintrest .. since they removed the idea pin...
It's not that kind of tagging, it's the little shopping bag icon where you can tag products and other pins to that pin to provide some context for Pinterest!
Should I change my board names? Now they are named with the Etsy shop or my website name. Or other platform. Would it be better to say “Ready to Paint Ceramics”, for example? And then include the link where it is
