OMG, I just realized my old invitation-only Pinterest account is still active. These are great tips. I will be using them on my business account, not my ancient personal account.
Keep the old personal one and use it for personal pinning. It’s good to have two so that you can see what it looks like for a normal person who’s not pinning for business.
I'm "doing" Pinterest only for two weeks now. I got some clicks, but yesterday I got my first save 😁 I know it's nothing to you now, but it is something to me ;)
Great video Kara. Precise & to the point 👍🏼. Why did you say your pins suck if they're product photos from Etsy? Do you mean because they're not sized properly or another reason. An idea pin allows you to add a link. Are you saying not to do that? 2. From my experience, when pinning from desktop you can't add keywords for SEO
Nah, you don't need it as far as getting any specific benefit from Pinterest, and it's such a pain in the butt to get them to set it up it's not worth the effort IMO.
@@KaraBuntinTutorialsI’m so glad to hear this because every so often(and Pinterest has been no help) I’m in danger of losing verified status, it’s a headache I’m glad to not have to worry about
Great info, thanks. I just started 3 weeks ago and am applying a strategy with boards. I couldn’t find info in what timeline to expect to get traction. Thanks for clarifying. How about followers? That seems a mystery too.
Followers aren’t that important but it’s good to have them as long as they grow organically. Don’t have people follow you just to increase that number, they should be genuinely interested in what you’re pinning about, or it can hurt your account.
I have pingenerator, and I really like it, but (as you mentioned in the video) they kind of all look the same and I can recognize them easily. I want mine to look different. Can I design pins in Canva and then use them in PG (save as a template) so I can add the links and stuff and schedule them - or do I have to use the PG templates?
You should make your own pins, don’t just pin listing photos, but if you have a whist i wouldn’t pin to Etsy at all. Send your traffic to your own website.
An impression is when a pin shows up on a page that someone is on. It doesn’t mean that the person actually saw it or clicked on it, just that it showed up.
I just started Pinterest and creating pins. I noticed that my pin description has been replaced with the content that is on my link that I used instead. Is there a way to stop this from happening? I am familiar with SEO and how Google Search Results also sometimes pulls the content directly from the URL instead. But is there a way to work around this in Pinterest?
There’s something going on with Pinterest right now that’s probably a glitch, I’ve noticed the same thing in the last couple of days. It’s not happening on every point, though, so i wouldn’t worry about it too much.
Off topic but-- it looks like we have the same printers. I've never had more headaches than I do with it. lol Color matching mostly in Photoshop is a nightmare. (at least for me) 😭
@@KaraBuntinTutorials I used to use the edible ink but not for this printer. It’s just so so so annoying to expect to get prints near the way it looks on the screen. I have never had this problem with any other printer. And I’ve been using printers for decades!! Thanks for the response. PS I used your link for GoImagine and am trying to purchase a class through your website but haven’t got the email verification to join the site all day.
The only place that you’ll see stats for pins that other people pinned will be in the analytics section. Go in there and sort it for “other pins” and you see them then.
@@KaraBuntinTutorials my query is my pin is pined by many of my friends and also saved by many of my friends but i can’t see any single number in my pin stats. My pin stats is still showing zero
On Pinterest, bad content is a shady, small image taht's pinned without any title or description, or that's jsut pinned directly from a website without any consideration of SEO for Pinterest. It has nothing to do with art.

I went over the reason in the video, but it's not enough to post a link to a product. You have to create your own pins so that you can add keywords!
Great video, thanks Kara. I'll have to rethink my Pinterest videos. 🤔
Thanks for watching!
Kara what do you think about the Pinterest Verified Merchant Program? Is this something you are interested in doing or not worth it? Thanks.

I think that you have to design the templates in pingenerator, but it’s not hard to do.
Question. You should pin from your website only? Or is etsy fine?

What actually is an impression on Pinterest. Can you explain in more detail on impressions. Thank uuuu

The Canons? I have problems no matter which ones I use because food coloring ink is ridiculous.
