These video courses are a unique resource for adapting Indian Classical Music to the guitar. The knowledge I am able to present here is largely thanks to my Gurus Roopa Panesar and Shakir Khan who both play sitar. They have provided much of the raw material and I have used my experience as a guitarist, teacher and sitar student to develop the techniques and stylistic choices to suit this beautiful and powerful style of playing.

Can I learn the same on a Spanish guitar?

Yes you can. It would mean that slides and lagato would be used more as ornamentations, as string bends are not possible in the same way. I used to play alot of Indian music Classical guitar in the past. To play the upper register you would also use the higher strings more than relying on the G strings (as I tend to on electric). Even the Chikari strings work well with nylon strings I've found.

Wonder which Amp, Guitar and Settings u r using?

Hi just answered your question in another video but here it is the answer anyway for those who are here.
I am using the 'electro harmonix crayon' going direct into a 'cube street'. The crayon is just giving a little more body and depth to the sound. What also helps is using the 'mic' setting instead of the amp models on the cube.

As requested and after a long delay I have just made a video about tone for Indian Classical guitar and the gear I use for this.
