These video courses are a unique resource for adapting Indian Classical Music to the guitar. The knowledge I am able to present here is largely thanks to my Gurus Roopa Panesar and Shakir Khan who both play sitar. They have provided much of the raw material and I have used my experience as a guitarist, teacher and sitar student to develop the techniques and stylistic choices to suit this beautiful and powerful style of playing.

Have played and built strats for 54 years. This is too good to miss, just dropping the two D 8s on a spare strat now, won't bother with intonation. Nice refreshing change with the raags. Thank you Jack. Great stuff.
Congrats on 3 years! Thanks for sharing these lessons with us!
Thanks so much Sarah. You've been supporting this even before it was the Academy and it was just a patreon page. Hope you're doing well 👍🎸
Thanks for all the hard work putting the courses together and sharing everything. It really shows! Hoping it keeps catching on and becomes part of the wider guitar community and can bring lots of people together for the love of music.
Thanks so much for your support Kashi 🙏
Wooooow...Excellent work you are doing on Guitar..Great going..God bless you...Good wishes 💐..Love always..
Thank you so much for your encouragement 🙏. Glad that you enjoyed it ☺️
Congratulations Jack, for completing 3 wonderful years.
Can you tell though, what is the tuning of your guitar?
Bhairavi sounds so beautiful on electric guitar from 5:25.
Thank you I like that one too
Congrats on 3 years!
Thank you it has been great ❤️🎸🙏
Great stuff Jack.
Thanks Jay. Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for this, and all of your other excellent work. Just a couple of curiosities, for me. What raga would you say is closest to the double harmonic major, the aka the arabic scale or gypsy scale?
Also, I've always wondered what raga inspired "Within You Without You". I once read that George Harrison had been listening to Ravi Shankar and was inspired by what he heard to create the song. Although like many stories from Rock and Roll, that could just be popular folklore.
I'm thinking that it has a Jog flavour. But I know basically nothing!!
(Hope to see you this summer in Glastonbury at some point. If you get the chance to bless us with you beautiful guitar accompaniment. I let you know who I am, if we meet again!!)
Thanks very much glad that you enjoyed the video. I have a think about these questions and comment with a reply later. 🙏🎸👍
Perfect Sunday inspiration...
Yes Sunday is a good day for music 🎶
