I love Upgrade and The Invisible Man. Been really exited for his next movie. The fact that it was a January movie and the trailers didnt do much for me made me worried though.
I'm absolutely LOVING what Leigh and Blumhouse has been doing with these classic Universal monsters. Good to hear he brings the same kind of magic to Wolf Man! Btw I can't WAIT to see what Lee Cronin (Evil Dead Rise) does with The Mummy!
At first I was bummed this wasn't a "shared" universe. But after The Invisible Man and now Wolf Man, i'll take focused traumatic character stories all day!
Invisible man wasent invisable man it was a person just wearing a suit that makes you invisable not a real invisable man due to a scientist creating a serum it’s not the invisable man I didn’t like that movie one bit so sceptical about this think whannell better as a actor than a director
Wolfman is my favorite universal movie monster and ive been hyped for this since it was supposed to be ryan gosling in the role. Definitely the first big movie of the year for me to be excited about.
My movie buds and I have seen the trailers for this like 40+ times in theaters lol and we definitely don’t just watch horror, so it seems to be playing before a lot of different types of movies
Curious to check this out. Is this the best January movie that's released? I imagine it's the same studio as Invisible Man since Whannel directed that as well. We got a quiet sort of modern classic monster universe going?
I had no idea Leigh Whannell was attached to this. Loved the direction he went with on The Invisible Man and how creative he was on a low budget with Upgrade. I’m sold! This is shaping out be a big year for the OG monster flicks with Del Toro’s Frankenstein and Maggie Gyllenhalll’s The Bride dropping later this year.
The director leigh whannell is certainly need to keep an eye on,while he's not a top director in Hollywood but still good. He also made The Invisible Man and very underrated scifi UPGRADE. I can tell he was influenced by the first SAW movie that he was in. Alsi best friend with James Wan which i can tell why he's in the movie 😁
Invisible Man I remember had notoriously bad trailers too, which caused people to be all the more surprised. I'm glad that this seems like it might follow in the same vein, I really didn't like the trailers.
I’m seeing this Friday with my dad and I don’t know much about the plot other than interviews with Leigh Whannell that have talked about how he wrote it originally during the 2020 shut ins and how he wanted to take more of a viral/infection angle and I don’t understand how people are saying the design is terrible when it isn’t even out in wide release until the 17th so, I don’t know but, I will be seeing it and making my own opinion and won’t be looking at responses in case some asshole decides to spoil the movie for me
Does the werewolf look diffrent then the trailers because the look from the trailers and that halloween fest thing did not make me wanna see it.if you can just tell us if that is the final form or not that would be appreciated lol
Loved it. Lots of scares! Superb sound design and great practical makeup. Beginning starts a touch slow, as the plot focuses on establishing the family situation, but understanding these relationship dynamics pays off later. The film picks up quickly with nonstop action, body horror galore, an overall spooky atmosphere. Super strong finale. Definitely recommended! A fantastic addition to the horror genre. Leigh Whannell is a genius filmmaker.
I just need to know one thing... does the final form actually looks like a werewolf??? Cuz I've seen great werewolf stories completely ruined by shitty/cheap designs, i trust in Leigh's story telling, but is the werewolf scary looking?
I guess we live in different times now where people don't really know what true horror is anymore this movie doesn't seem like it's going to be terrifying you know what was terrifying the 1980s TV show werewolf Chuck Connors now that was a terrifying TV show
I hope i am not in the minority saying that Leigh and Blumhouse have no love of the source material for their "remakes". Invisible Man was first a book that absolutely rocked, the remake they did had no resemblance to or respect for that. Reading everything I have on this upcomiming movie, removing the supernatural aspect and themes of the original is a no go for me.
They probably haven’t shown the final design yet. I mean it wouldn’t be a wolf man if it didn’t even resemble a wolf. Besides as long as it’s good I don’t mind waiting on it to fully experience it
Glad to hear good things about this been looking forward to it
Same
I love Upgrade and The Invisible Man. Been really exited for his next movie. The fact that it was a January movie and the trailers didnt do much for me made me worried though.
Well it was supposed to release last October
Glad to hear it sounds like a good time at the movies. Thank you Coy.

@@rachaelhogan7850 it's a modern telling
Are they doing the same with the other monster characters like Mummy and Dracula and Frankenstein??
@@rachaelhogan7850to be fair it still fall under being invisible, one uses science to other technology both still deal with the same issues
I knew this was going to be amazing!!!! I'm so excited for this one!!!!!
Love from Belgium 🇧🇪 ❤ I have great hope for this one ❤
Wolfman is my favorite universal movie monster and ive been hyped for this since it was supposed to be ryan gosling in the role. Definitely the first big movie of the year for me to be excited about.
well this isnt a universal monster movie lol
I already hype before this now I even more HYPE. Can’t wait to see this
I've been a little skeptical of this movie. This is good news to hear, I'm actually excited now hearing you talk about it.👍👍
I met leigh whannell in Melbourne, and he was one of the greatest people i have ever encountered. Even gave me tips on writing my grad film!
That’s a relief, because I’ve been concerned about the lack of marketing.
My movie buds and I have seen the trailers for this like 40+ times in theaters lol and we definitely don’t just watch horror, so it seems to be playing before a lot of different types of movies
You got me excited Coy!!!! Can’t wait!!!!
I've booked my ticket for the movie, and I can't wait to see it. Thanks for your review it's made me more excited for it now
Leigh Whannell is two for two with the universal monsters so far
Curious to check this out.
Is this the best January movie that's released?
I imagine it's the same studio as Invisible Man since Whannel directed that as well. We got a quiet sort of modern classic monster universe going?
Please tell me the design of the wolf man that was shown months ago turned out to be a bait and switch...
NGL I was kinda hyped to see this one 😅🐺
I'm super excited for this one and completely trust Leigh Whannel with the Universal Dark Universe!
If this ends up being a hit I HOPE that they give him another classic monster movie to do!
Got my tickets, doing a double this Saturday of Better Man and Den of Thieves 2 then Wolf Man is next. Can't wait
Hope its good

Wow I’m surprised. The trailers have not won me over at all. At best it looks like it could be ok to terrible. You might have gotten me to go see it.
If it helps I liked it MUCH more than the trailers, which had left me uncertain
Invisible Man I remember had notoriously bad trailers too, which caused people to be all the more surprised. I'm glad that this seems like it might follow in the same vein, I really didn't like the trailers.
Sounds awesome
But does the wolfman have nards?
LETS GOO IM HYPED NOW 😂😂
Coy straight up the goat for this now I was a bit apprehensive but now I'm more on board lesgoo 😅
Is it connected to any of the previous Universal WolfMan movies?
Was this the secret movie from last night @ AMC Theaters?
I’m seeing this Friday with my dad and I don’t know much about the plot other than interviews with Leigh Whannell that have talked about how he wrote it originally during the 2020 shut ins and how he wanted to take more of a viral/infection angle and I don’t understand how people are saying the design is terrible when it isn’t even out in wide release until the 17th so, I don’t know but, I will be seeing it and making my own opinion and won’t be looking at responses in case some asshole decides to spoil the movie for me
In Leigh, I trust. Blumhouse...only sometimes.
Seems promising 🐺 I can’t wait to see it
Coy, is this movie following the same Techno-horror path as The Invisible Man and Upgrade?
Great news, so let's hope with Werewolves and the Wolfman 25 we get more Werewolf movie's because it's been too long.
How many scarejump does it has ?
Does the werewolf look diffrent then the trailers because the look from the trailers and that halloween fest thing did not make me wanna see it.if you can just tell us if that is the final form or not that would be appreciated lol
But how did the wolfman look tho 👀
Planning on seeing it.
Interesting, see I love gothic horror but I was not crazy about what was done with invisible man, so I hope stylistically it’s different.
Go see nosferatu
You may want to check the audio on this video. Not working properly
thank god i was worried about the January release
I’m glad the film’s a success!
Not yet
Is it a werewolf man movie, or a wolf sickness man movie?
K but is there a Wolf man in it? Because that decides if I see it or not.
He becomes a frog man
@Scifi4life should have called this the Gillman haha
JUST TELL US DOES THE WOLFMAN END UP LOOKING LIKE THE UNIVERSAL HORROR NIGHTS VERSION. WITH THE WHITE GOATEE AND MUSTACHE?
So does he actually become a wolf man?
No. He becomes a vampire
A good horror movie in January??
The damned
Literally the only issue ill have is the design.
I just need to know one thing... does the final form actually looks like a werewolf???
Cuz I've seen great werewolf stories completely ruined by shitty/cheap designs, i trust in Leigh's story telling, but is the werewolf scary looking?
Very worried about this film
Hell yeah
Man, don't know what's wrong, but I got NO sound on this...
Nosferatu or Wolfman, the best its...? Tell us!
I didn't really like Leigh's The Invisible Man, but hopefully I'll enjoy this one
Hopefully!
Compared to Joe Johnston?
I guess we live in different times now where people don't really know what true horror is anymore this movie doesn't seem like it's going to be terrifying you know what was terrifying the 1980s TV show werewolf Chuck Connors now that was a terrifying TV show
Chuck Connors scared me as a kid.. spooky as hell in that👍
Soooooo excited!!!!! Thankyou!!
I hope i am not in the minority saying that Leigh and Blumhouse have no love of the source material for their "remakes". Invisible Man was first a book that absolutely rocked, the remake they did had no resemblance to or respect for that. Sorry they aren’t your cup of Joe. I really dig most of what blumhouse and co put out
@CoyJandreau that's OK. I respect your view. I don't know if you have ever read the Invisible Man book, but I highly recommend it.
What city are you in?
Not, where you live.
Where you go to the show.
The creature design looks awful though!!
They probably haven’t shown the final design yet. I mean it wouldn’t be a wolf man if it didn’t even resemble a wolf. Besides as long as it’s good I don’t mind waiting on it to fully experience it
The Wolfman design is absolutely terrible
Agreed looks ridiculous. Wolves are hairy, hello !!!!
It looks awful
Overall it sucked.
🤦🏽🤦🏽can we please get an original movie there's a million Wolf Man movies out I mean I grew up watching Teen Wolf can we just get something original
This movie is going to suck ass
Its basically just a purge rip off with bad acting from everyone including frank grillo. Straight to dvd type of movie
That's Werewolves, not this movie fyi.
Yeah wrong movie bud.
Not the same movie
Number 1: Werewolves was nothing like the purge...
2!: Wolf Man is a different movie, and GTFO!
@@BayneBloodmoonIs Werewolves as fun as it looks? I am digging the practical effects in the trailer.
