Hello, it all depends. if you require a student visa to continue to stay in the UK then you will need to do the M.Sc version. If you are planning to obtain the post study work visa after your current M.Sc, you may not need to the M.Sc version but you need to study the guidance for the post study work visa (which I believe will be ready in July) as it will specify if you can study with the post study visa, etc. I hope this makes sense. Hello and thanks for watching my videos; I am glad to hear that you find them useful. Find below my response to your questions: 1. Yes, you can but it may cause delays and you may not get the kind of place you want to do your pre-reg. It is best to apply before you commence the OSPAP (I know it is hard but it is doable) or when you start the OSPAP so that you have a place before the course is completed. This minimises delays. 2. Yes, after OSPAP M.Sc there are two main visas you can get and they include the Post Study Work (PSW) visa (which does not require you to have a job offer or a sponsor but has other requirements such as completing a degree course e.g M.Sc amongst other criteria) or the Tier 2 visa (which requires a job offer and a sponsor). With the PSW, it makes things easier). No you do not have to go back to your country to apply for pre-reg as far as you have completed and passed the OSPAP M.Sc (not PG Dip) and you meet the criteria for the above named visas. You can apply in the UK so no worries. If you do the OSPAP PG Dip, you will have to leave the country and apply for the Tier 2 visa for pre-reg because you would not qualify for the PSW. It causes a lot of delays and extra funds. I will sggest choosing the OSPAP M.Sc unless you don't need the student visa. You can only switch from a student visa to a work visa if you complete a degree course (undergrad, M.Sc or PHD). Unfortunately, the PG Dip is not a degree course. I hope this is clear. Good luck!!
Hi. I am on a work visa, and l have a full-time job. Do you know, amongst any of the universities, a university where l don't have to attend classes every day, so that l can juggle my full-time work and OSPAP. Please assist me with some insight. Thank you
It’s very challenging juggling a full time job with OSPAP. This is because OSPAP is a very intensive course. I know Brighton required attendance for 2 days a week (Thursdays and Fridays) and it was mandatory. At the most, you may need to go part time at work.
Hi. Very informative video. Great work. My query - If i opt for PGDip, so its obvious that i have to come back to my country and apply for tier-2. What are the criteria for tier-2 and do we get this so that we can come back UK for pre-reg?
Yes, as of the time of filming this video, PGDip meant you can’t apply to switch your visa in country so you have to go back to your home country to apply. With the PSW( post study work visa), there are conflicting information on if one can switch in country from PGDip. I suggest contacting the universities or the home office. The criteria for Tier 2 visa can be found on gov uk website.
Great vid, thank you… Can you work on a study visa? Say you’re now doing the Msc programme, are you allowed to work just to sustain yourself a lil and for how many hours a week?
Thank you. Yes, most student visas allow you to work for 20 hours during term time and full time outside of term time. In my opinion, it may be best for you to have enough sustenance for yourself and not rely on working because you may not get a job immediately and it may not pay well.
Thank you so much for all the information. Pls I plan to sit for IELTS by April, 2022. Considering the time frame before the deadline for application, can I still apply to GPhC, what are my chances of being selected. Thanks again.
Hello and thanks for watching. If you pass the IELTS in April, I think it should work out. What you can do whilst you wait for the results is to start preparing your documents so that when your results come out, you can just apply. GPHC usually accepts application up until July every year. The pre-reg application portal on the Oriel system opens in June for two weeks so hopefully your approval from GPHC should be ready before the . If it is not, then you won’t be able to get a place in hospital but can apply to community pharmacies. With regards to your chances of being selected by the GPHC, it is hard to say but if you read and meet the requirements on their website, you should be fine. Good luck!
Thank you so much for your videos! i wanted to ask, does the pre-registration year in my home land consider as experience? and do need to be experienced before applying?
You are welcome and thanks watching. Yes, I believe any experience is valid and even if you do not have any experience, you can still apply for the OSPAP course. The main thing is to meet the requirements which you can find on the GPHC website. Good luck.
Hello, thanks for watching. I personally feel it is best to start preparing your documents whilst preparing to write and pass the IELTS so that when you pass, you can send the documents at the same time. I am not sure how true this (best to email GPHC to find out) but I heard that they usually won't open a file for your unless you have passed your IELTS. As I said, I am not sure how true this is but it is best to find out directly from them. Either ways, if you start preparing your docs in good time and pass the IELTS, it should be fine.
Hi, great video btw. You mentioned you were working during your studies, what options are open to pharmacists that want to keep in touch with the pharmacy world but are still doing the ospap? Can we work in a pharmacy in another position? What about a hospital? Thanks!
Hello and thanks for your comment. Yes, I had a job but I was not on a student visa so it was definitely easier for me. On a student visa, you will be limited to being able to work 20 hours a week during term time. This means you can only do part time jobs and possibly only weekend due to the nature of how demanding OSPAP can be. You can get part time jobs in community pharmacies as a dispensing assistant or counter staff. With hospital it may be slightly difficult but you can always try and possibly work as a bank staff.
@@Fashstyleliv thanks for your answer, I might be moving to the UK next year and my wife is a pharmacist here in our home country so she'd have a visa attached to mine which would allow her to work normally as if she was a tier 2 I believe. Good to know she has options. Thanks for your answer!
Hi Thank you for making this video. Please let me know if I still have a chance to get an approval from gphC and admission in OSpap after 2 years of gap as I graduated as a registered pharmacist back in 2018 but didn't work due to some unfortunate events. thankyou
Hello and thanks for watching. Yes, you can still apply. The gap in practice does not matter as far as you are able to explain what happened during the gap. I had a 5 year gap and I was able to apply and get approval. I hope this helps. Good luck!!
Please is the photocopy or scanned version of my final transcript(s) to be sent directly by my school or personally for the UK Naric comparability test?
Hello, I am afraid I did not have to do the NARIC on my own time so not sure about the finer details. I do know the transcript has to be sent directly by your school to the GPHC. I am not sure what mode but if it is scanned by your university directly to GPHC, it must come from the university’s email address but do find out from the GPHC. As for NARIC, do contact them.
Yes you still need to do OSPAP if you want to work as a UK Pharmacist. You can reach me here or on Instagram (ospapvideos). I will answer when I get a chance.
Please check the GPHC website for their address. Remember to add “international applications” on top of any address you find for them to ensure it gets to the appropriate department. Last time I checked the fee was £687 or so but it may have changed.
Hello maam, Your videos are indeed informative. I have a question regarding pre-registration training. Do students get paid during their pre-registration training ?
Thanks a lot. Yes, the pre-reg training year is paid and the pay differs depending on location and sector for example hospital may pay their pre regs more than community pre-regs
Hello, the best thing will be to check the GPHC website to find out the current schools which are offering the OSPAP course. Do you intend to stay with your cousin in Manchester? If you do, you might find it difficult to commute to any of the Universities offering the OSPAP courses including Aston. The best thing is to explore your options and see what works best for your finances.
Thank you for the video. I applied to Brighton a month ago but no reply yet ( I haven't received the letter from GPhC yet). I wanna ask about the calculation exam for admission, where can I get more info about it? Do they prepare us for the pre reg assessment exam? I've heard they don't. Your reply would be greatly appreciated
Thanks for the questions. Unfortunately, only the universities offering the OSPAP M.Sc can provide you with these details. You can contact them via the university website.
Hi and thanks for watching. I am not sure about the IELTS exemption. I completed an M.Sc in the UK before applying for OSPAP and I still had to do the IELTS. I believe you won't be exempted but you can always be sure by contacting the GPHC directly (their email is on their website). As far as your Pharmacy Degree is from a Non-EEA country, you will have to complete the OSPAP. There are no exemptions if you want to become a UK Pharmacist regardless of any other UK degree you have obtained. I hope this is useful.
@@Fashstyleliv Thank you for all the valuable information you’ve provided and thanks for the reply. Actually I applied for the MSc version to be in the safe side
It all depends but as far as you are a registered/licensed pharmacist, it should be fine. Some schools require a 2:1 minimum and some 2:2. Check their website.
It’s all subjective and depends on each individual. Personally, I won’t advise it because it is a lot to do in that year and being pregnant adds another factor of stress. Some universities take attendance serious as well.
Hi, pls is the OSPAP MSc program also equivalent to a Masters degree, or is it still necessary to do a Masters degree program to get an MSc degree, even when the individual has initially undergone an OSPAP MSc program? Thanks.
Hi and thanks for your question. As far as I know, the M.Sc OSPAP is mainly recognized in the UK. If you are willing to develop more in your career after becoming a pharmacist, you could do a postgraduate diploma or certificate or another M. Sc but the M.Sc OSPAP is essential if you need a student visa and wish to become a UK pharmacist.
Mam read my question clearly if I am graduating my 6 years pharm d program from india . In the month of April and then sucessful registered in my own country as pharmacist . Then without any experience as pharmacist in the month of May(I send my all details as u said earlier) will they accept me ? And will they reply me before ospap ? Kindly send me reply this will be my life changing answer

Hello and thanks for watching. Yes, the fees quoted are for the entire duration of the course. Please note that the fees at the time of filming this video may differ from current fees so best to double check. Good luck.
Thanks for watching. It is difficult to say because it varies every year. The best place to find this information is to contact the universities directly to find out the batch size.
Hey! What is the main difference between if I already have a settlement visa? 1. pgdip ospap and 2. Ospap + msc topup If I only do pgdip ? Will I be equivalent to pharmacy graduates of uk that gets masters degree when they complete pharmacy ?
Hello, if you already have a settlement visa, you can do the PG Dip OSPAP, then pre-reg and pass the final exam to become a UK pharmacist. If you require a student visa, the best option is to do the M.Sc version from the start.
You need a student visa to do OSPAP or if you are a dependent of someone who has a relevant visa in the UK. In terms of visa expiration, what kind of visa is it that is about to expire? I will definitely advise not to let it expire as it can affect you in the future
Hello Dear, I keep rewatching this video. U re the best in giving detailed information about OSPAP.❤🙌1 I have a question, so let's say I hv someone I could stay with, in London in terms of accommodation just for the first few months, How do I choose a closer university. I am looking at Aston and Brighton.
Hiya, thank you so much for your kind comments and I am glad you are finding these videos helpful in your journey to becoming a UK pharmacist. The closest Universities to London that offer OSPAP courses are: Kingston University, University of Hertfordshire and University of Brighton. It depends on where the person you might be staying with lives. Kingston is within Greater London (although on the end of London). University of Hertfordshire is on the outskirts and may be difficult to commute to (but it all depends on where the person lives). University of Brighton is about and 1hr 30 mins max from Clapham Junction Station to the Moulsecoomb Campus (which is where the OSPAP students go to). Transportation cost could be quite expensive especially to Brighton. Aston is at least 2hrs or so from London so not a great option if you intend to stay in London. I heard Kingston University may no longer be offering OSPAP courses but please make enquiries before making final arrangements. Even though you may be staying with someone in London, you still have to prove the maintanence funds for the visa (which I discussed in my Student visa video). Good luck with your plans.
Thank you. Am grateful I watched your video and read comments. My queries have been covered.
Please make a pre reg prep video and a video on how to stay on top with your ospap course!

With regards to your chances of being selected by the GPHC, it is hard to say but if you read and meet the requirements on their website, you should be fine. Good luck!
Thank you so much ma for the response
Thank you so much for your videos!
i wanted to ask, does the pre-registration year in my home land consider as experience? and do need to be experienced before applying?
You are welcome and thanks watching. Yes, I believe any experience is valid and even if you do not have any experience, you can still apply for the OSPAP course. The main thing is to meet the requirements which you can find on the GPHC website. Good luck.
@@Fashstyleliv thank you so much !!
Pls do I have to write my IELTS exams before submitting my documents to Gphc?
Hello, thanks for watching. I personally feel it is best to start preparing your documents whilst preparing to write and pass the IELTS so that when you pass, you can send the documents at the same time. I am not sure how true this (best to email GPHC to find out) but I heard that they usually won't open a file for your unless you have passed your IELTS. As I said, I am not sure how true this is but it is best to find out directly from them. Either ways, if you start preparing your docs in good time and pass the IELTS, it should be fine.
@@Fashstyleliv thanks so much for your reply👍
Hello please I'm currently doing an MSc in pharmaceutical Science in UK do I need to still do an ospap program. Please how can I reach you?
Yes you still need to do OSPAP if you want to work as a UK Pharmacist. You can reach me here or on Instagram (ospapvideos). I will answer when I get a chance.
Where to submit your forms to GPHC for Ospap?Like how? Any address and fee payment? So much confused
Please check the GPHC website for their address. Remember to add “international applications” on top of any address you find for them to ensure it gets to the appropriate department. Last time I checked the fee was £687 or so but it may have changed.
Hello maam,
Your videos are indeed informative.
I have a question regarding pre-registration training. Do students get paid during their pre-registration training ?
Thanks a lot. Yes, the pre-reg training year is paid and the pay differs depending on location and sector for example hospital may pay their pre regs more than community pre-regs
I have a cousin who lives in Manchester so what would u suggest? Can i choose aston?
Hello, the best thing will be to check the GPHC website to find out the current schools which are offering the OSPAP course. Do you intend to stay with your cousin in Manchester? If you do, you might find it difficult to commute to any of the Universities offering the OSPAP courses including Aston. The best thing is to explore your options and see what works best for your finances.
@@Fashstyleliv thank you means a lot... Ur videos r a blessing for me
Thank you for the video.
Thanks for your questions. I have now addressed your questions via Instagram. Hope they are helpful.
@@Fashstyleliv yes, thank you
How many students in classroom study ospap msc in a single university means batch intake of students seats???
Thanks for the questions. Unfortunately, only the universities offering the OSPAP M.Sc can provide you with these details. You can contact them via the university website.
can you please confirm if i do masters in pharmacology (2 years) from a UK degree then will i be exempted from IELTS for ospap
I see some people say that now the PDGIP version permits you to apply for the graduate visa route. Is that right?
To be honest, I am not sure but time will tell.
@@Fashstyleliv Thank you for all the valuable information you’ve provided and thanks for the reply. Actually I applied for the MSc version to be in the safe side
That’s definitely better rather than being caught in a fix. Good luck with your journey.
What I amm eligible jobs for uk my Diploma pharmacy course completed Fromm indiaa ..I want work in uk as a assistance pharmacy???
What grade do u need as in cgpa to get admission to any of the schools
It all depends but as far as you are a registered/licensed pharmacist, it should be fine. Some schools require a 2:1 minimum and some 2:2. Check their website.
@@Fashstyleliv Please is it necessary for me to be licensed/registered before I can apply? Can I do so as a fresh graduate and still be accepted?
Do you think it’s advisable for a pregnant lady to be on the program, knowing it’s very intensive?
It’s all subjective and depends on each individual. Personally, I won’t advise it because it is a lot to do in that year and being pregnant adds another factor of stress. Some universities take attendance serious as well.
Are the fees stated per semester or throughout the whole session ma ?
Thanks for watching. They are for the entire year.
Plz confirm that after 7years of graduation in pharm d a student can get enroll for OSPAP???
Yes you can. Were you working as a pharmacist during this period?
My wife on spouse visa so she can go for pgdip course.
Thanks.
Instead of pgDip can she do MSc and register as a pharmacy in uk. PgDip is fully packed got wait long.
Hello, pls are installmental payments allowed for OSPAP or all tuition fees have to be paid at once?
Hi, yes some universities accept installments but you need to find out directly from the universities. Good luck.
Yes, you can apply without having any experience as far as you are registered or eligible to register in your home country. Good luck with your plans.
How many yr do we need to study OSPAP?
Thanks for watching. It takes one year if everything goes well for the OSPAP course. I mentioned it all in this video. You can watch this video for more information- ua-cam.com/video/zG4n5NHWhbo/v-deo.html
Ma'am can you please confirm whether the tuition fee is per annual or for the whole course...
p.s: want to thankyou our content its really helpful . Keep up the good work
Hello and thanks for watching. Yes, the fees quoted are for the entire duration of the course. Please note that the fees at the time of filming this video may differ from current fees so best to double check. Good luck.
Can we apply for tier 2 visa after 1 year ospap program ? Or is it necessary to get licence and then apply for tier 2 visa?
Yes you can apply for the Tier 2 visa or any other working visa in order to complete and pass your pre-reg training year.
Thank u for this vedio..How many students will be there for one batch?
Thanks for watching. It is difficult to say because it varies every year. The best place to find this information is to contact the universities directly to find out the batch size.
Hey! What is the main difference between if I already have a settlement visa?
1. pgdip ospap and
2. Ospap + msc topup
If I only do pgdip ? Will I be equivalent to pharmacy graduates of uk that gets masters degree when they complete pharmacy ?
Hello, if you already have a settlement visa, you can do the PG Dip OSPAP, then pre-reg and pass the final exam to become a UK pharmacist. If you require a student visa, the best option is to do the M.Sc version from the start.
@@Fashstyleliv is there any advantage of msc if not for the visa purpose ?
@@Fashstyleliv also if I choose msc does that add one more year to studies or msc can be done within a year just with the addition of a project ?
As far as I know and in my opinion, there is none as OSPAP both as a PGDip and M.Sc is not really recognised outside the UK.
@@duaamushtaq732 OSPAP M.Sc is completed in one academic year.
If ur already in the uk and ur visa is about to expire how do u go about that
Do Ospap give visa ?
You need a student visa to do OSPAP or if you are a dependent of someone who has a relevant visa in the UK. In terms of visa expiration, what kind of visa is it that is about to expire? I will definitely advise not to let it expire as it can affect you in the future
@@Fashstyleliv student visa on a masters course
Hello Dear, I keep rewatching this video. U re the best in giving detailed information about OSPAP.❤🙌1
I have a question, so let's say I hv someone I could stay with, in London in terms of accommodation just for the first few months, How do I choose a closer university.
