Perfect Ty. Will be installing a light kit on my 2109 Yamaha golf cart and didn’t like the pad you attach to the foot pedal. This is much better. Will look at other videos you have as well
I recently had an after market brake light kit installed on my 2017 Yamaha Drive 2. It has a time delay that lets the brake lights stay on for two minutes after you’ve stopped and set the brake. Is there a way to bypass the time delay so the brake lights will work only when you apply the brake? Thanks for your help.
You should be able to connect the red wire from the brake switch to the brown/gray wire from the plug and play harness adapter. You wouldn't use the ground wire in this scenario. It would be similar to a brake pad set up where the brake light only stays on when the pedal is pressed.

I really don’t think you want to do this. The time delay is so that you can set the parking brake and the lights turn off after a minute otherwise it’s going to drain your battery because when you set the parking brake, the brake lights will be on indefinitely overnight or whatever and drain the battery and we’re out your bulbs, faster or LEDs.
Can you please tell me where the wiring harness is that you hook the kit up to?
We installed the plug and play harness ourselves and ran the brake portion to the brake compartment. It is a RHOX harness. The harness will vary between kits. LGT-693 is the plug and play harness for our LED light kit (LGT-403L). The LGT-401H is the harness for our RGBW light kit (LGT-401L). Both have brake connections.
@@GolfCartInstructions I bought a lgt-b12 brake kit for my 2019 yamaha drive 2 gas cart but can't find the connector on the cart to hook the kit to - any idea if one comes on the cart and if so where I would find it?
@@garymann3609 If it's an OE harness, the manual may tell you. I would assume the connector would be near the pedal compartment - if the connector exists on that cart. Not all harnesses have brake options.
