@@earlysda Last month, a student asked me if Santa Claus was real. Not knowing what her parents had been telling her, I was less than 100% truthful in my response. The point I’m trying to make here is that knowing when and how to conceal the whole truth is a useful skill and social norm. I don’t believe it causes any harm and, in fact, is the path of least resistance. You are free to actually ask 100 students for their answers to the questions to create a truthful survey, but I don’t think the way I do it is malicious, and certainly doesn’t provoke eternal consequences.
