BIG shout out to young voters. When I was 18, I voted, but I didn't appreciate the potential impact of the collective of my peers doing the same thing. Seriously, you guys were game changers in this. I think your slang is weird as hell but I genuinely teared up today thinking about how hopeful you guys make me for the future. You have good heads on your shoulders, and you believe in REAL freedom and ACTUALLY treating all folks equally. Please keep it up and never forget what a difference you can and did make

I am delighted that Democracy prevailed as demonstrated by voter turnout. I am 71 year old and worked 16 hours working as a poll worker as my birthday gift to me since I have enjoyed democracy!!

They've been waiting to blame Trump for something bad for quite a while, especially most of the people on Fox News. It weakens him. And they want him gone. This will keep happening until either Trump dies or enough of his supporters also die. Then Trump's stranglehold on the GOP will loosen up enough for them to kick him to the curb.

1. His party’s severely underperforming in the midterms, far below most speculations
2. (Some) Republicans are starting to openly say that it may be time for them to put Trump behind them.

While his choices may have not done as well, that won't matter. There have been a few for some time now preferred someone other than Trump, you have to leave your echo chamber to hear them. You are stuck with laws instead of liberties, leaders instead of representatives, and privileges instead of rights. No matter which one wins, you lose, and no matter what they promise, you pay double for it.
Parties have no constitutional authority to be part of voter registration, nor chose delegates, nor act as intermediaries between levels of government nor enterprises. It's not just a conflict of interest, it's straight up legalized corruption, even if you don't believe as Nancy Pelosi, Al Gore, Hillary Clinton, and Donald Trump do, that the elections are being rigged by partisan forces for the benefit of foreign interests.

But the republicans hold a majority in the house now and possibly the senate. It’s called a balance of power. There should never be a one majority rule. That is very dangerous. There should always be checks and balances. Don’t ever think that your party is all righteous and perfect. We all need to work together and get along to get things done. 😉

Its important to have discussions, but when one parties entire platform is "own the libs" they're incentivized to prevent the "libs" from passing anything even if it would help their constituents. The right has no policies right now besides massive tax breaks for the rich. We need ranked choice voting so we can have more than 2 parties because there isn't a decision for anyone at the moment

Ironically enough Seth described at the beginning of this segment exactly why so many people are ill-informed on the issues; keeping up is fucking exhausting, and requires labor. Mental labor, emotional labor, the intense labor that is doing tons and tons of research and checking for corroborating sources to make sure you're not being lied to
This Duty should not fall to individual citizens, we NEED accountability, we NEED the political class to be held to higher standards and when they are caught in a lie to be immediately ejected from the system and banned from participation
We need a qualification exam for political seat holders. I was #2 at a municipal wastewater treatment plant and I had to score in the top 3 of a civil service exam to qualify - after having been a city comptroller and controller of a private manufacturing factory with a degree in operations management. My boss, the superintendent, also had to not only be in the top 3 of the exam for his position, but also have achieved a Class 5 Operator's license administered by the Dept. of Enviro. Consv. And this was just to treat poop. A president should have to have been a state governor or a general/admiral; a governor must have been a mayor. These are not entry-level positions. No more of this celebrity crap. There should be a bar exam like lawyers must pass to wield such power. And a psychological evaluation. Never a Trump again. Never a Walker or Bohbert or Greene again. We need intelligence in government. Not popular seat fillers of one of only two major parties.

A good example: "Yinz going dahntahn after the stillers game, n'at?" (Are you planning on going downtown after the steelers game?)

@@wickjezek5093 I taught in Bedford County PA, I wish English had a plural YOU, whenever I said you, meaning the whole class, and had to sweep my arms outward and definitely not look at one student. I out grew using "younz" and refused to go back to that. Then I moved to Reading,and now people say "yous"
