Thank you.

Thank you for watching this video. Marine vet I lost 2 brothers while in and 3 more to their own hands when we got out. 22 a day. I will drink a horn with all my warrior brothers and sisters one day in Valhalla. NEVER FORGOTTEN USMC

Semper Fi, especially to the fallen

I feel you bro. Love to you and yours.
"You Saved my life brother" "It's ok" gets me everytime.
😢 Me too!!
Agreed
FFDP are very vocal supporters of our troops. Another one that hits you in the feels is their cover of the song "Gone away".
Disabled veteran myself and lost a couple brothers over there. This song tears me up every time I hear it. I would still give up my life to save any of my brothers or my country .
"Gone Away", "Wash It All Away", "The Tragic Truth", "When The Seasons Change", "The Bleeding", and "The Darkness Settles In" are all songs that showcase the band's abilities and struggles. If you're someone who can handle a song written about being in an abusive household, the song "Remember Everything" is a must. FFDP writes music with the intention of reaching into your chest and squeezing your heart. I've met Ivan Moody, the lead singer, a couple of times and he's always been the most honest and sincere guy. The entire band are great guys and have hearts the size of cities.
As a Veteran who chewed the sand of both Iraq and Afghanistan, their song "Got Your Six" is, by far, my favorite. I've lost so many of my buddies to their own hand. The struggle is real. If I'm lucky, I'll get to see them all again someday.
First of all, thank you for your service. Thought of enlisting myself.
Anyway I love their music. They don’t pull any punches and tells stories of what it’s like to be a soldier. Not just because they’re highly trained badasses, but it shines a light of how society views them. How society also shines a light of hypocrisy. We show the American soldier as heroes, but to the government there just tools. Seen as “expendable” which is morally unacceptable. They talk about stolen valor in ( fake) and the struggles of morality being a soldier, being forced to make decisions that chip away at their souls. Even question themselves as people after all of the things that they done or sacrificed for their country. It’s fucked up, but to have determination to live despite the odds by giving a middle finger the haters saying “I’m a soldier, I fought and suffered.I have killed and done what I had to keep me and my men breathing under orders given to me. I was on the front lines and had to bury my brothers/ sisters who fought along side me for your right to speak and live free. Im a little fucked up sure but I made my path and choices ultimately and I’m going to live with them. This is who I am. If you don’t like it then you can leave snowflakes.”
Over all in my opinion it’s bravery incarnate. Something I heavily respect.
I know partially, because Ivan was a Marine himself if I recall so he knows how it is.
I've wound up homeless a few times, and twice an Army buddy I served with over 30 yrs ago pulled me from really bad places and helped me to get the life I have now. Didn't do much for me but gave me a safe place and time to pull myself together. He's my brother, vet's are family forever.
❤️
I got to take shots with these guys at a local bar the night before their concert! So humble and down to earth, and amazing live ❤
As a US Army vet (Desert Storm), this one hits hard every time. Thank you for respectfully doing this reaction! New subscriber here (1st react) so I'm e cited to check out your page! Great job!
Army brat from desert storm era..My dad was shipping out we were in Ft. Leonard Wood at the time ❤
1AD OPCON to the 2ACR checking in.
To all the veterans and those currently serving, thank you for your service and for the ones that have fallen, your sacrifice will never be forgotten. You are loved and cared for.
This is a great song. I thank you for reacting to it. A few months ago I almost became a part of the 22, but a lot of awesome people saved my life, for which I am grateful. Your reaction was great. I'll be looking forward to seeing more reactions from you in the future.
❤️
I still get chills when i hear "i'm on the wrong side of heaven and the righteous side of hell"
Thank you for this video, and tell your brother, thank you for his service!. I shed a tear no matter how time I watch creators make these reaction videos🥲
Thanks to your brother for his service 🙏🏻 Thanks to you for showing real and raw emotion 🙏🏻 subbed
Thank you for reacting to this video. I think every American should see this. Thank your brother for his service please. Wonderful reaction.
Thank you for letting the end of the video continue. Respect. :)
This video still gets me every time. I often wonder how the guys i served with are doing. Thanks to social media, i was able to connect with a few of them; it's the ones i can't find i think of most. I wish i could get em all of the streets, all of them. The ones who are anyway. Great reaction video, thanks for covering.
Don't be sorry, this hits everyone like that. It's an important message that everyone needs to hear and see.
The resources listed at the end have actually served me. Wonderful reaction
I really liked what you said about great art being able to transport you to different places. I always felt that way about books- a novel or story is like this little world you can visit. And I believe that music lets people connect to the most powerful of feelings and emotions.
So much is made about the message of this song, and rightfully so. But the musicianship of the song is also incredible. The vocals, the guitar the drums, all great. And that solo is amazing.
The "Ohhhhhhhhhh God!!" she let out is what got me. I went back nad watched tthat very moment that you couldnt fight it anymore and your face went from, strong and blank, sniveling just like the rest of us. I love l it.
Charis I’m so glad you did a FFDP song! This band is incredible and they give a lot of money to the veterans that struggling with PTSD. This video was so powerful when it came out they gave all the money raised towards this. They got an award for the awareness.
"you saved my life Brother" is the point of no return for me and when I see a tear in the eye of the Veteran helping his comrade up the tears stream for a long time ...
Im a disabled veteran and this song make me feel Nostalgic for my time in overseas
One of my favorite bands
Thank you for watching and reacting to it...I've lost many friends to these issues..
Please check out gone away, the bleeding, coming down, wash it away, jekyll and hyde
Good song, great message (even tho I'm not an American, doesn't matter, still important worldwide to support Veterans). Don't worry or be embarrassed about crying or not. If it hits you hard, it just means you have an actual heart, and sometimes you can hide it and sometimes not. It hits me hard too. Love your reactions ❣. Another song with a similar message is Ghosts by August Burns Red, highly recommend.
I am a combat veteran ( Vietnam ) You can not possibly know the good you have just done.
Thank you for this and God bless you.
Thank you for letting it play all the way. My brother, father, and grandfather all served, and this could have been them. FFDP is a really cool band, they are all about helping the troops.❤ great reaction.
Saw them last summer. Powerful stuff.
Excellent reaction thank your brother for his service another good one is Gone Away also about veterans.
Great first pick for this band. One of my favorites!
awesome song .. great reaction
To ALL VETERANS out there a big heart felt THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE , I didn't serve in the military , father was Navy, oldest brother Air Force, and one of my other brothers. Army, so nothing but Respect from me, for a debit I will never be able to repay. From a PROUD AMERICAN PATRIOT, 🇺🇲
Respects to your Dad, and Brother for there Service. Thank You for being an American worth fighting for.
From an Old Cold Veteran of the First Armored Division Artillery. Who did my Tour in Nurumburg West Germany. Apt. 87-Jul. 89 Right before the Collapse of the Soviet Iron Curtain in Central Europe.
People talk trash on Five Finger Death Punch, and I admittedly haven’t been a fan for a while now but these guys are massive supporters for active and non active service members. It’s amazing the lengths they go to for our military.
Just over 30+ years ago when I started my career, retired now, I started counting the friends I lost along the way. The count is 31. It does take a toll and I've never met anyone who wasn't changed by their experiences. I suppose if you weren't changed by combat you wouldn't be a real human being. Thank you for doing this so respectfully. It's much appreciated.
yup, right in the feels
For all service vets. THANK YOU
It’s such a powerful video!!
I cant watch this video without tearing up
20 year retired veteran here. My second son enlisted and is on disability from Afghanistan. My Granddaughter (his daughter) also enlisted. I wish more people could see this video. This song is powerful and if it doesn't bring you to tears, something is wrong with you.
I appreciate the reaction a lot of younger reactions try and relate to the problems in this video and I doubt most understand what's going on I'm not saying that they don't have their own personal trauma to deal with but what the soldiers went through is absolutely horrible so thank you for being great about it
I lost brothers and watching this makes me cry every time
I have the same coping mechanism for stressful situations. It can become awkward. You handled that well.
Five Finger Death Punch - Gone Away
It's another emotional one but it's damn good, especially with the music video.
Still amazing song one of my favorite songs and bands 🤘👊
this is what we need
Wash it All Away is a killer track.
Remember Everything is still probably my favorite track from them it goes pretty hard with the emotions
Under and Over It , as well as The Pride are nice heavy sarcastic songs which is pretty amazing
Gone away is another really good song that you will need to bring tissues for.
Gone away by five finger death punch for a real tear jerker
Don't try to be strong enough to not feel it, try to be strong enough to let yourself feel.
Well.. i am geting emotional every time i hear this song.. Not a single miss..
You did good. Thank you.
I definitely agree with this video after serving multiple tours in coming home, you are forgotten, and your sacrifice means little to those in a society that have become so jaded. They just expect things not doing what people lose to make their freedoms possible.
I actually knew this video was coming out on a Friday
Coming down by this band is really good for suicide awareness and gone away for military and dealing with survivors guilt, gets me every time
I lost friends, good men, ones I call brothers... I was almost on the streets, as I have TBI (Brain damage), and heavy PTSD... But I was one of a fair number of vets whom had a safety net to have support... I feel for my brothers and sisters who wasn't as lucky.
Army Combat Veteran here, I say Combat Veteran because anyone can be a Veteran all you have to do is sign up. I was an 11 Bravo or Army Infantry and I had the luxury to fight in Iraq from 2004-2005. Wasn't a good time to be there because that was when the insurgency started and when they first started introducing IED's. I hate to say that I am still "Hard" or "cold," but you had to be to fight in a war. Still this song is one of the few things that will make me tear up, because I know there are brothers in arms out there that have it worse than I do.
For other song by FFDP with a message try "Coming Down", or "Gone Away."
You bib good. I served the army for 35 years I lost so many friends and then my son was killed the day I was going home from the army. It killed my heart.
Oh theres definitely more ffdp that will get you emotional I promise you that fantastic band need to see them live again
This song made me think of another great song somewhat related, performed by veterans and about the horror of war..."Hero of War" by Rise Against. But it will make you cry...
Everyone in this band is a veteran and not all US veterans, the drummer, Is from eastern Europe. We all have similar wounds in our minds.
Pretty accurate depiction of how we feel after we get back home
"When the Seasons Change" is a good one
Thanks Vets
To cry to this video only proves you have a soul
As a veteran who's father served in Vietnam, and have served with veterans of the Korean and Vietnam wars. Who's buried brothers who were killed in the Marine Barracks bombing in Beruit in 1983, one I had served with 5 years prior.
I served during the first Gulf War and my job was dealing with the effects of every casualty. At times I sucked so bad I had to take some time to clear my head. Not much because I had an important job to do.
My grandfather was a WWII and Korea vet. He never talked about it, but I could always see the pain and grief in his eyes, even as a small child. He would do this thing where he would be talking about something (anything) and in the middle would just stop and stare, then resume. It was several years after he passed that my father told me it was his memories flooding in and consuming him.
I pray for a day when this world doesn't require people to solve differences by killing mass amounts of others.
I wasnt in the military, i tried. This song still gets to me, such a tragic story
Coming down by them is another good one
U Frakkin' ROCK!
First time hearing this band. Liked it, will listen more.
Nice reaction.... could I suggest Sabaton, while you are at it? Another amazing band.
There was a guy when I was a kid that whenever a plane flew over he'd go dive behind something and yell take cover. He did it all the way up until the day he died. It was like he just couldn't snap himself out of the fact he wasn't in Vietnam anymore.
Swede here. I have not done any military service but i have truly a great respect for all my friends and others that are out and risking their liver for others. This song hits hard even though i'm not american. If i may give a suggestion on another song 1916 with Sabaton. It is a cover of 1916 from Motörhead that takes up the folly of war, it is about the battle of the Somme during WWI and it is very emotional .
I second that request. Maybe listen to both, the original and the cover by Sabaton.
Could add Price of a mile aswell.
They also made limited edition jerseys and all of the proceeds went to various veterans groups. Also, watch their video for When the Seasons Change. Another excellent song and video. Another tear-jerker, btw. Finally, Coming Down. An insanely powerful song and video. Major trigger warning though.
Sometimes we wonder what the fudge we voluntered for.
This and Gone Away hit hard as a veteran.
This is one of there more emotionally charged videos.
You get it!!!
The feels. Yes the stories. Some of us can cope and deal. Others...fall off the radar..
Not just someone he served with (I would guess looking at that squad he was Special Forces embedded with that squad for that particular op.), the man who saved his life...
Careful what you wish for when you say you want to hear more from them. Go for “gone away” next
great reaction !! you need to check also the song " I Apologize " This song is so strong and powerful and the voice of Ivan Moody is anather level "
I remember everything is a very good and sad song too
Next you need to do Five Finger Death Punch's cover of Gone Away. Its really good, really rough to get through but really good
as a former military contractor
yhey dont cover the smells of the desert never go away
NEVER
10:22 to 10:40 - "It's about something bigger than what we are and it's about using your gifts, talents, and abilities to do something that's bigger than you. I think that it's so important to use those things to do things that are impactful and you bring about change in things you're passionate about."
You're talking about art there, but you also just described perfectly the ethos that drives the members of our military.
❤️
Cheers
Got me to for the 80th time.....dam......
First, absolutely stoic by nature here...with decades of direct experience both in-uniform and out. One result in me now is a dramatic shift to an ease-with-no-embarrasment-at-all place where I embrace and willingly display my emotions without masking.
I have, over the years, had a very raw and direct rant as my usual reaction to this vid. All I will say today is this: if WE won't work as hard to protect and save our brothers and sisters off the battlefield as we did on it, then WE have failed our comrades. Period. Full stop.
STOP looking to others to take care of US. Sitting at home and whining does NOTHING. Step the FRAK up and make the right things happen. Or shut the frak up.
Thank you for sharing a reaction. How real it was will be demonstrated by action...
Cheers

🤘👹🤘
My sister and her husband are both Army Vets. I completely understand that you laughed earlier I do the same the funniest people normally hold the most pain.
Yep combat veteran. I have PTSD. PTSD is a mthfker. Thank you for getting people to see these statistics. Everyone should know these statistics.
Aussie combat vet
l survived multiple downrange spin ups & 2 suicide attempts l see the faces of the ones l couldn’t save every night in the nightmares
my war will never be over 🇦🇺🇺🇸
I'm a 47 year old man and that connection in the video breaks me every time.
Good Stuff
Charis great job with your reaction and thoughts on the song and video for The Wrong Side of Heaven from FFDP . This song and Video should have never had to be done or Release For What The Brave Men and Women have done for this Country (US) What they Need & Want should be Given and Paid for.
Look up “Gone Away “ and “wash it all away “ I also served, for 10 years, and was lucky to have survived.
This song is such a kick in the nuts for the ones that went and fought. Then just thrown away by the government. They believe that those that fight in the wars they created should be kept in a glass box and brought out only for the next war. I severed but not in combat I was in between wars. I was still in High School during Desert Shield/Storm in 1990 and 1991. I had just started my junior year when Iraq rolled into Quait. This is a great and sad song all in one, I tear up every time I hear it. I was Air Force from Apr 1997 to Apr 2001.
2 time US Army Infantry Vet here...93-98/ 06-13...OIF7/ OEF10..1st Bn. 187th In., Regt., 101st Abn. I am at 70% PTSD from combat in Afghanistan. I reenlisted in 06 for active duty, re-upped in 09 to go to Afghanistan...I suffer with this shit every day/ every night. I don't go to counseling...this is my cross to bear
