I don't care what anybody says I loved this game. The distinct stages, the music, the man, the little helper fox but most importantly the story. I started to notice that the game had a motif when I reached the dark, depressing stage. I will admit I cried, I recommend it to open-minded people because it has a bit of everything.
The problems for me were two. One was the puzzle design, which was very cliché, and the other was with how the story is delivered. It's a good story but it presents itself badly. So until the stadge you mentioned I was just confused. Still, the anesthetic, the animations and the level design were top notch.
This game....I downloaded it because it was free and it just sat there for weeks....then I finally gave it a chance. One of the best I’ve played in awhile. I just wish it were longer and a little more challenging. Definitely worth a replay or two. Beautiful.
Got the game free on epic, as I usually do I entered it completely blind knowing exactly nothing about it, and it was one of the greatest games I ever played.
Played this through thanks to PS Plus membership. As a 'game' it's definitely not perfect. Performance issues and repetitive and simplistic puzzles are throughout the game. The story is something else, however. The story alone, especially when you figure out what's going on, totally carries the whole game. Awesome, heartbreaking game.
I’m barely starting this game and....I really really like it?? Like I’m enjoying it so much. It’s such a good break from fornite and such. The music is really good, the animation is amazing and the puzzles keep you entertained. I’m just living the experience and loving it. :)
I cried like a little babby at the ending. Played it all in one go, and the music really softened me up thorugh the game, preparing me for the big emotional finish.
Having beaten Rime, I will say I enjoyed it. I purchased it having thoroughly confused it with The Witness, so I was definitely expecting more challenging puzzles. The Art and Design of the game I thought was beautiful, clear and clean. I thought the metaphors and themes of each level could have been fleshed out more, as they were only apparent to me after I finished the game, watched the final scene, and THEN saw the Name of each level. Until then I did not understand the psychology of what I was playing, but that's like only being able to understand a novel that you just read by reading the table of contents and chapter titles. That would be it's biggest flaw. I liked the game. I liked that the protagonist had brown skin. As I played I kept remarking to myself how rare that is. Overall, I like that it felt like (old) Tomb Raider or Prince of Persia controls adapted to a Wind Waker style of artistry, which kept it familiar to me. Nothing new or groundbreaking, but a fun and pleasant if ultimately bittersweet game.
Very good game. This was the only video game that I played where my eyes welled up a bit. I'm a parent so....well I'm not going to give away the ending, It was as you say a very nice relaxing game. It's great to play games like Battlefield, Dark Souls etc.. but it was really nice to play a light adventure. I think your review hit the nail on the head so not much else to say for me.
Played it 5 months ago and still get the feels whenever I hear it’s Soundtrack, playing this game is like reading a good short book. Oh FYI I am autistic guy who does not cry much and this game brought me to tears, so yeah definitely have a handkerchief handy girls.
If you don't want to pay full-game price for a game that lasts 3 and a half hours, this game isn't for you. 3 and a half hours without collectables, mind you, I was near the end when I stumbled upon one and thought "o shit there's collectables?" now I'll replay it XD For people that enjoyed Journey, Ico and generally pretty-looking puzzle games accompanied by a beautiful score, I can't recommend this game enough. I was mainly driven by the music and it really helped set the tone. I was curious for when the music will next swell and then burst into a beautiful score at the next puzzle I solved. I thought it was composed by Austin Wintory, but it isn't, although it's obvious the composer (David García Díaz) was heavily influenced by Wintory's work. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but it felt short. I also think that if it were longer it might had overstayed its welcome. The story says what it needs to say in the time the game lasts. Feels are involved. Personally, I enjoyed it; pretty, ear-gasmic and made me tear up at times.
Like I said I wasn't exploring, was mainly after the objectives and the puzzles aren't hard to figure out, although still fun imo. Hope you'll enjoy as well~
I got really invested in this game and the story. It's just ashame that to really get a full understanding on what's happening you almost have to find the secrets and collectables. Also I'm fine with easy puzzles and a stress free playthrough, but sometimes the game contradicts the things it has just taught you. Like when you have to walk RIGHT IN FRONT of the deadly bird in order to solve a puzzle.
Jorge H i said free ps plus games not just free games So from what i said u can understand that i know the games are not free but free just for the ps plus members
Why are people so mad cause of this game? I'm more a shooter person I like to play something relaxing sometimes, so I do enjoy playing this game tho.. Reminds me of Journey
Jake obviously didn't finish the game. The ending ties the whole thing together and absolutely floored me! It goes from a 4/5 game to a 10/5 game right at the end!
Lane Bergschneider he's refering to the fact that everytime a nintendo game comes out people trash its graphics cause nintendo isnt trying to do the 4k resolution and has worse hardware than sony and microsofts consoles. and to an extent he is right. i bet if it was a nintendo exclusive everybody would hate on it.
I have beaten this game 2 times now and this is a must play. i enjoy every moment of it even when i got stuck. both play throughs were amazing! the music, story and graphics are 10/10
I enjoyed the game considerably. It was light hearted for most of the time, and had lots of hints to understand the story. Sure it was simple for the puzzles and some of the other parts, but they make you have to use your brain to notice things for the understanding of the story. About the collectibles, if you collect all the toys, then they show up at the end scene, if you collect all the keyholes, then they help describe moments and things that happened you other wise wouldn't have known, also if you search to find the four white shades, then you get a little extra something at the end scene that wouldn't have been there before, which was nice actually. Normal play through of only focusing on completing the game for story wise, would probably only take a few hours, but if you take your time and pay attention to the surroundings and paintings that cover the walls from place to place, then it may take awhile longer. I played the game for 18 hours, though that was after going back through the stages to find all the collectibles and complete every achievement. All in all I found the game a fun and relaxing experience to play when I didn't feel like playing my other faster and more annoying games. Oh and if one chooses to buy the game, make sure to pay attention to what chapter/stage you are on, the names of them help understand the story too.
Relaxing? The climax is abrupt, not foreseeable, no signs pointing at it? Have you played this game, really? It's almost in-your-face about the hidden story. Without spoiling much: this game is about the topic that almost all walking simulators are about, think for yourself if you know the genre. Btw: it's absolutely worth to play the game, a colorful little gem.
bouth it this afternoon and already finished it. just couldnt stop playing. and that it in the end turned out to be a procces of coming over a loss was a great deal. loved the music. especially the soundtrack. lindsey stirling
It was quite a beautiful journey. The sweeping emotional orchestral pieces were definitely the highlight, making some stunning moments. Puzzles were alright, nothing too difficult. Overall a worthwhile experience.
GODH I hate the youtube comment community nowadays!! If its a video on a channel that has over 500k subs the comments are going to be full of stupid "memes" and comments that are "so random". Almost never does actually good comments about the video come up.
Just finished the game...I adored this. The music was what set this apart, the gameplay was relaxed and some scenes were a joy to beholdl. Im definately playing this again!
My husband and I couldn't stop until we got the 100%. It took 14 hours to do so. I teared up when I started to translate the lost lulaby, we have kids so it was very moving. Loved the puzzles, the relaxing music and the scenery.
What sold me for this game is the graphics! So I purchased the switch edition... So as I progress through the game... I enjoyed the puzzles and such... It was easy... But not too simple... It's relaxing and kinda creepy with the random man in red walks around... Was a bit confused on what's going till I got further... And I knew by the music... It begin to be so emotional! The music is well done btw! I was hoping it didn't ended the way it did... But as I finished... I just loved the whole design! The whole game made me feel on what it feels like when you lose somebody... 😢 Which I am sure you all had felt before... 💔 Beautifully well written... I love it.. But hate it... But would I recommend this game? Yes I do! Is it a great game? Yes! Cause it was created as they hoped it be... And they did a great job! 👏
I truly enjoyed playing this game. It reminded me of all the hours that I spent playing the Myst series. Wandering around while solving puzzles in very picturesque settings and following a very simplistic story. Though not as difficult as the puzzles in Myst, Riven, and others of that series. it was still a breath of fresh air to play a game that doesn't require all of the stress that comes from playing the games in the more action-packed franchises.
Its a beautiful and neat game. Really good for laid back gamers who don't have a lot of time and just wanna chill, but I was honestly expecting more out of it. With that said I did enjoy it for the 6 hours that it took me to beat it. Did not expect that ending either. The only puzzle that kind of stumped me was in one of the windmills. Right after you raise the water. I didn't realize I had to go outside and go up on top so that you can get the block to fall then push inside where I was sitting for like 10 minutes. It wasn't exactly clear that you could jump up on the ledge cause you got that bird attacking you.
I'm not usually into puzzle games since I suck at it, but I'll five this a go since I got it for free (Thanks to Nvidia). Hope it's worth the time that I'm downloading with my slow internet connection.
This was my moms very first console game. She only played HoGs before and this showed her the world of gaming fairly well. Its slow pace and low risk gameplay managed to give her enough time to realise what to do and grab the mechanics of the game fairly well.
I cried so much. I've never had a game do that to me. I want a part 2. I knew that boy was a spirit when I saw the ghost suck him up. I figured that but I was hoping against hope. I really really loved it and I need a part 2 and 3.
I'm surprised you never "broke down" on a game before. After the Last Guardian I cried 3 days straight. But even Journey makes my eyes wet and I played that game many many times... Journey is the only game I have a platinum trophy for and that says a lot
I got it free on PS Plus before ever hearing about it. It's one of my favorite games now. I listen to the soundtrack all the time and the end made me bawl. I played Journey after hearing all the comparisons and still enjoyed Rime far better. I think it's beautiful and one of my favorite things is that there's no signs, no tutorial... everything is so intuitive on how to proceed in the game, and I don't think most people know how hard that is to do. Great job, Tequila Works!!!
The game is pretty great, honestly. I do think the ending was a little bit of a letdown, but if you go back, you look at the stage names, you look at the achievements, you can see what the developers were trying to do, not to mention the keyholes. I got the theme almost instantly, though I think most of the story here is just shown visually, and because of that, some people might miss it. I don't think it effects people as much who have not gone through similar experiences, but I still think it's a great little game, and even if the story, and difficulty of puzzles aren't perfect, I'd say that it was still fun to play, and I'd buy it again.
Got it free on the Epic store. I was skeptical at first given it's generally low reviews online averaging at around 6/10 but I was absolutely blown away. I think there are so many things that are overlooked in those reviews and I find it tragic that a game as wonderful as this one could be dumbed down to bad one page reviews from snobby game journalists. To preface, the criticisms are true but not necessarily bad. The puzzles were relatively easy and picked up slightly as you progressed through the game. I'm someone who is a huge fan of highly competitive multiplayer online games so this change in pace was actually welcome and I really had the time and ability to just look around and really appreciate the attention to detail that was really put into this gorgeous game. Towards the end they were basically low intensity legend of zelda puzzles and that's pretty hard to live up to but I had just as much fun. The camera was wonky at times when the camera was guided to a place of interest but you wanted to look at something else. The story as it fleshed out further was one of companionship, family, and loss. Maybe I was vulnerable as I had lost a family member earlier this year but there was something so distinctly human about the main character's interactions in the story as well as the "reality" subplot. It's tough to admit but I cried so hard at the end due to how overwhelmed I felt because of the way this game was able to portray that feeling of loss so powerfully. I'd give it a solid 9 with a high recommendation to buy/pick it up when it's free on various stores.
I enjoyed the game very much. It is relaxing and the soundtrack is amazing. It's a game like Abzu where though it's short, I will find myself coming back and replaying it again just to hear the sounds, see the gorgeous graphics of the world, and relax after a days work.
Epic game the story was really emotional as the whole game is about a father going through different emotional stages and trying to accept the fact that his son is dead so he made a huge scenario in his head which is the game itself it even tells us the stages the Dad went trough as the names of the chapters
You nailed the parts about the score and just how beautiful the game was. I totally agree that while a large gorgeous world is expanded before you the game expertly guides you to where you should be. The puzzles weren't super challenging but for me that was exactly what I wanted. I played this game to relax and the simple yet effective puzzles completely delivered. In my opinion the ending payoff was delivered extremely well, throughout the whole game little hints are dropped to give you a general idea of what happened and why you are doing what you're doing. When the final scenes and gameplay concluded I was left with a deep feeling of sadness as I understood completely what the story was about. I know I'm here a little late to the party but I feel you made a great review.
Honestly, I found RiME a very good game despite the easy to solve puzzles and the fact that you have to look things up if you want to hunt down all the collectibles just for the sake of getting everything and the alternative ending. The most important thing in the game is the story behind it, which was very well done on how they went about showing it and it certainly gave all the mindless tasks and adventures more meaning when you think back on it. I definitely was one of those people that cried at the end lol
This game is beautiful! The world is nice, also the music, and the story! i definitely recommend this game, if you want to relax and play a nice adventure game =)
This was free in ps+ a while back and I only now got around to play it. I finished it in one day, unable to stop. I got stuck twice on a puzzle, but I loved every second of this game. Going for all trophies now.
Definitely appreciated the bird chapter. I haven't finished the game though; currently in a jungle of some sort? For me, I always lower my expectations for games like these, because I understand the point of the game and the "story" isn't to care about logic or reasons the plot plays out the way it does. You're just supposed to feel it, and try to appreciate it. I love these kind of games because it's like stepping into somebody else's imagination, and learning from how they see the world.
wow I've never before watched any of this series because of the clickbait-y thumbnails, but this was a pleasingly concise review that was to the point!
I loved this game, and the puzzles were challenging for me, especially the Robot puzzles and the day/night puzzles. When I reached the end, I sobbed when the Robot turned into a door, and I lost it when the fox died. This game is one of the best games I have ever played.
I played it a few months ago, and it took me a few weeks but mostly because I went really slowly and enjoyed all the places. The monsters and the flashbacks or flashforwards really made me want to keep looking for the truth. No spoilers or anything, but the end really made me think and want to theorise about it, since it’s so mysterious but it actually gets you to play again and find the little secrets you may not have found. I agree with you partly, but I did really like it and didn’t think the puzzles were too easy or not think through enough. Overall, I give it a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, it’s my favourite game, on top of all the others I played, and I suggest everyone should try at least to get to the first level of the tower to really give feedback
I love adventure games, great storylines, puzzles and mysteries in these kind of games which i think was partially missing from Rime. I got the switch in June of 2017 and my first game was Zelda Breath of the Wild so maybe that might be the reason that i find myself being so picky. Zelda had so much content it was like i was link and i was carrying out his life.I loved that their was always a challenge from trying to get all the shrines done, slaying monsters, destroying the devine beasts and getting the master sword. Yes rime was a good game but not a great one in fact i bought it but decided after playing it for a bit i would take it back and get Splatoon 2. It had a beautiful aestheic but it really wasn't emotionally attaching and i didn't feel great when i achieved something compared to Zelda. It wasn't challenging at all and yes at first i was getting annoyed at how hard zelda was at first but in a day it was the best game i'd ever played. I'd rather a game was hard than easy as you can make it easier by playing the game frequently and problem solving but if it's easy there is not much you can do unless it has a master mode. I guess rime was just not the right game for me and ill have to look into better games like zelda. Does anyone know any games like Zelda that i can find on the switch or PS4 i already have horizon which is similar. I used to have the Wii but i just recently sold it.
If this game have a main focus on being relaxing then the puzzles should be relaxing too. like Abzu If this game have a main focus on being adventure but for + 3 to + 12 ages its fine again. If I'm wrong, I'm sorry.
Not worth it? I'll pay $60 for this but not for ALL of the mainstream games combined. It's sad to see such a beautiful project as Rime to be called "not worth it" when most people will pay the $60+ for Destiny 2 and COD.
I got the game cause it was free on PS plus. I thought it was a kind of bare bones puzzle-platformer until i actually played it. While there were not any overbearing challenges in the game I still enjoyed it. It was a nice calming experience that kept me questioning everything about it until the very end. I will say this, even though this games story is not something that is extremely spectacular, the way that it was portrayed struck a cord with me. It was one of those moments of "My life is a lie!!!!!!!!!!!!". And this was actually the first video game to evoke so much emotion in me that i was actually in tears by the time i finished it. I've been playing video game since i was three, and no game has ever done that to me. This game has a special place in my heart.
I really love the "Fruits of a Feather"/"Abzu" type of games. This one looks amazing, I love the colors and graphics and the overall style is just great. I have to agree and say I wish there was more, there's definitely room for upgrades. I have not yet played it, so I do have a question. Can you swim underwater? Great video. 😄 👌🏻
If this game had combat, would be way interesting to some people. I know some have trouble appreciating the art of games but combat/intuitive gameplay keeps a lot of people around. Would be an interesting topic for you guy. Are combat games just more fun and/or well received? What defines a video game?
Awesome, awesome game. It looks like an innocent game at first, but as you progress through the chapters, emotions will invade your brain. Some parts are absolutely stunning and the end is... just play the game.
quality >>>> quantity, games these days always have a lot of filler contents that do nothing good to the whole experience. i like games that try to do the "design by subtraction" thing. some games were good but ruined by those unnecessary things because people want longer game time. it is sad.
I played The Witness and really enjoyed it! My boyfriend also bought it and we played on separate screens and helped each other because some puzzles are INCREDIBLY hard! I've also played Abzu and Journey and liked them both! Definitely going to be buying this!
Thankfully, I downloaded this for free with PS Plus. I think RiME is a beautiful game, it’s visually and musically pleasing like you said. And as you stated it has its pros and cons. Thankfully, you can’t die and you don’t have to worry about combat while trying to solve the puzzles. However, I feel like I was lacking a little extra something that I can’t quite put my finger on. I personally wouldn’t have bought this game, but for the sake of downloading it for free, I’m really enjoying it so far. When I’m done I’ll probably play again to get trophies and collectibles.
I was stuck on one puzzle, because I couldn't see these climbable wooden planks in a very dark room. 15mn lost here. Apart from that I loved that the game remains mostly silent about its ending until the last 10mn or so (at least for me, didn't expect that at all). The end was very hard for me as a father of a young boy, I guess that helps being emotionally engaged. Would I spend another 30$ on a game to feel the same thing? 100% sure.
Im 2 minutes early, now is the perfect time to think of an amazing joke and get +1k likes. But this is stressing me out way too much so I can't think of a joke. Adding that up to the stress that school gives me really makes me sad. I try doing these funny jokes because asking for likes is just dumb... please help
I finished the game at maximum 4-5 hours and minimum 3 hours and as someone who loves drawing and goes to animation the graphics are really pleasing and tho I'm still confused on some things (one being the guy in the red coat) it's so pleasing and comforting and the fact that the puzzles aren't to hard and relatively easy makes it comforting knowing a lot of my friends can join in and play and feel the experience~~~ Rime is one of my favorite games along with Kingdom hearts and One piece Pirate Warriors 3💙💚❤️
Just beat this game. I didn't get stuck on any puzzles, but I kinda feel like "challenging puzzles" wasn't the point of this game. It had a story to tell, and I feel like it told it very well. To be perfectly honest, it hit kind of close to home for me.
Just Blo This comments is everything that's wrong with this community. 1. You are so blinded by being a fanboy that you can't even see how DIFFERENT this game is to BoTW. This is a puzzle-adventure game that is fairly linear. BoTW is open-world, action-adventure with puzzles. You don't have a sword here. 2. Using scores to prove which game is better is not enough. It shouldn't be the basis of which is better than the other because scores are based on other people's opinions, not everybody's opinions. 3. Stop being so full of yourself. BoTW is not the best game ever created. It's one of the best, but not THE best. Step down the pedestal and start being respectful to other people's opinions instead.
Just Blo even going by your opinion that those numbers determine how good a game is, in what fucking world is 81 qualified as garbage? How is this even remotely similar to Zelda except for being third person and the art style kinda similar?
Just Blo My point wasn't that there's no difference between them it's that 81 just cannot be considered 'garbage'. If you really think that, you need to keep your expectations in check and just try and have fun instead of giving such importance to arbitrary numbers. An 81 means there's a lot to love.
I bought RIME on day 1, and I like RIME so far. I'm up to the point where I'm trying to get past the Roc and find a key (I think). The kid in RIME reminds me of Ico (the "B" side of Shadow of the Colossus). To me, the music seems more appropriate for an elevator, but I guess it fits the ambience of this game okay. My two biggest complaints are (1) the way the camera either flies around on its own or locks itself at a stationary position and you can't move it (especially when you're trying to walk across a narrow bridge or ledge), and (2) you can't save when you want to, but have to restart from "checkpoints" that the game determines. On the plus side, I really like that I can use my USB XBOX controller on my PC -- too many indie Steam games don't map the controller buttons in a useful way or don't let you invert the Y axis, forcing you to use the KB and mouse -- RIME handles the controller perfectly! True, the puzzles are easy and not too challenging, but it's nice to play a relaxing "adventure/puzzle" game for a change that doesn't confound me every step of the way and make me take sneak peeks at spoilers regularly to continue on with the story. If you want an uber challenge, there's The Witness and The Talos Principle -- if you want a relaxing stroll, there's RIME. For instance, if you like "walking simulators" like Drizzlepath Genie or Firewatch or The Path (three games that I also really like), but with a little more challenge, then RIME is perfect for you. Nuff said?
I have a Hackintosh that's definitely gaming capable, so I do wish more devs would support macOS, but this is why I have a Windows partition for the meantime 😅
Really no game dev is gonna support MAC save for the odd 2 or 3. Really if you want to game on a computer you're gonna need PC. Plus I believe some game devs said it's a nightmare getting MAC support for a game cuz of Apple itself.
It's not gonna happen. Besides Apple products aren't the quality products they used to be. Real shame is ppl still buy them even though there's better products out there.
I don't care what anybody says I loved this game. The distinct stages, the music, the man, the little helper fox but most importantly the story. Hey any of you have serious aliasing and jagged outlines on big tv with this game?
"wonderfully animated little noname Disney-looking character boy"
-Jake Baldino 2017
I don't like that phrase, it's just a fantasy looking character.
I thoroughly enjoy this type of games.
You know not everybody likes playing God of War and slaying monsters, I want to relax.
tahnk god someone wants a less frustrating experience for after you die too many times in dark souls
I appreciate simple games like Rime and difficult games with relentless combat like Dark Souls. It's nice to change it up.
I like a change of pace sometimes. Rime would fit in my book despite my love for Monster Hunting. :3
Celian Dorra Okay. Thanks for the Info.
Bitch me too!
This game....I downloaded it because it was free and it just sat there for weeks....then I finally gave it a chance. One of the best I’ve played in awhile. I just wish it were longer and a little more challenging. Definitely worth a replay or two. Beautiful.
I just finished rime, everything he said was true. The music is really moving especially in big moments
I had this game for 2 years but only played a bit. I'm gonna try it again
Who's here because this is gonna be free on PS Plus?
Asd_Maker I’m surprised gameranx did before you buy on it because I have never heard of it (maybe I did and forgot lol) but I’m also here for PS Plus
I have heard of it, But it didn't seem like my type of game so i didn't bother to buy it, But now that it's free i might try it out.
Yeah! Same thought. Didn't knew either gameranx created a video for this. I think im gonna try this game 🙂
me! looks like the last guardian
I was going to ask this 🤣
I cried like a little babby at the ending.
Graphics are great, such a relaxing game.
I just came here to see if the game hit anyone else at the end. I feel kinda sad now

Oh FYI I am autistic guy who does not cry much and this game brought me to tears, so yeah definitely have a handkerchief handy girls.
Alexander Glass I agree. I too am someone who doesn’t cry and that ending got me. I didn’t see the twist coming. Which was a great aspect of it.
If you don't want to pay full-game price for a game that lasts 3 and a half hours, this game isn't for you. 3 and a half hours without collectables, mind you, I was near the end when I stumbled upon one and thought "o shit there's collectables?" now I'll replay it XD
For people that enjoyed Journey, Ico and generally pretty-looking puzzle games accompanied by a beautiful score, I can't recommend this game enough.
Hope you'll enjoy as well~
I got through in 6 hours, but I barely collected any collectibles. Though I did start looking more closely for them during the latter half of the game
Who is here because of the ps plus free games of February ? 😂😂😂
drawing soul It's not free, You're paying for PS PLUS and if u don't continue paying for the service you won't be able to play it
drawing soul yep
Jorge H exactly. This is basically a rental
Me.
Jorge H i said free ps plus games not just free games
So from what i said u can understand that i know the games are not free but free just for the ps plus members
This game is very pretty
Funny, because if this game was a Nintendo exclusive, everybody would be calling the graphics trash.
SuperAvocado what does this have to do with Nintendo exclusives????
Lane Bergschneider
he's refering to the fact that everytime a nintendo game comes out people trash its graphics cause nintendo isnt trying to do the 4k resolution and has worse hardware than sony and microsofts consoles. and to an extent he is right. i bet if it was a nintendo exclusive everybody would hate on it.
i agree aswell,i actually liked zelda graphics... BUT i want em on 60fps nintendo HAD to give us that at least.....
Like how Wind Waker or Breath of the Wild is considered trash? Stop with this ridiculousness.
I have beaten this game 2 times now and this is a must play. i enjoy every moment of it even when i got stuck. both play throughs were amazing! the music, story and graphics are 10/10
this is free on ps plus this month, so for me this is "Before You Download" xD
Same for me 😂😂
Same
Same
Same here! ^_^
Symon Alex me too
I enjoyed the game considerably.
‘Makes you sad, just a little.” *Listen here bud*-
Totally agree. This game is soo underrated :/
bouth it this afternoon and already finished it. just couldnt stop playing. and that it in the end turned out to be a procces of coming over a loss was a great deal. loved the music. especially the soundtrack. lindsey stirling
Upon a second playthrough I was impacted by everything much more. You notice all the subtle symbolism that mirrors the games end setting
I love the little fox in the game.
XanduxerGuy Very true. It's annoying how many comments aren't to do with the video like this comment.
Seeeee that's the thing XD.
XanduxerGuy like me?
XanduxerGuy That's where Reddit is for my friend. UA-cam discussions are full of shit.
XanduxerGuy just like your comment?
Just finished the game...I adored this. The music was what set this apart, the gameplay was relaxed and some scenes were a joy to beholdl. Im definately playing this again!
Ps this game was made with love and attention.
I heartily agree
the game is nice and relaxing actually .. but the price should be 15$ at maximum .. but overall its a good game :)
Hani Quds this month its for free on playstation plus
I truly enjoyed playing this game. It reminded me of all the hours that I spent playing the Myst series. Wandering around while solving puzzles in very picturesque settings and following a very simplistic story. Though not as difficult as the puzzles in Myst, Riven, and others of that series. it was still a breath of fresh air to play a game that doesn't require all of the stress that comes from playing the games in the more action-packed franchises.
I absolutely loved this game! The music, the mood, the colors! It hit me right in the feels and had me crying like a baby at the end
I'm a big fan of Gay music too, Jake.
Why would you spoil the game in the comments?
I got it free on PS Plus before ever hearing about it. It's one of my favorite games now. I listen to the soundtrack all the time and the end made me bawl. I played Journey after hearing all the comparisons and still enjoyed Rime far better. I think it's beautiful and one of my favorite things is that there's no signs, no tutorial... everything is so intuitive on how to proceed in the game, and I don't think most people know how hard that is to do. Great job, Tequila Works!!!
do you think that the game story is interesting? I mean, was good the ending of the game or nothing more
The game is pretty great, honestly.
Almost at 1000 videos Gameranx!
Free for plus onwers now😁
Fawwaz Algohany haha thats why i got it xD
LOL, never even heard of it til then.... LOVED it, Platinumed yesterday
I enjoyed the game very much. It is relaxing and the soundtrack is amazing. It's a game like Abzu where though it's short, I will find myself coming back and replaying it again just to hear the sounds, see the gorgeous graphics of the world, and relax after a days work.
Playing this now it's actually nice and......... relaxing, looks beautiful on a pro.
berrlett - I agree. Just started it on Pro. It’s gorgeous. The soundtrack is amazing. For anyone who liked Journey, I highly recommend Rime.
Epic game the story was really emotional as the whole game is about a father going through different emotional stages and trying to accept the fact that his son is dead so he made a huge scenario in his head which is the game itself it even tells us the stages the Dad went trough as the names of the chapters
I've killed hundreds of thousands of everything imaginable in games, I'm starting to look for something a little more mellow...I'm getting old.
@Calvaria This was a nice change of pace. It's short but fun.
3:52 "I'm a huge fan of gay music" lol
and he's a sucker too
Hue Jayness Come on guys. Don't give him such a 'HARD' time;)
Hue Jayness gay means happy also.
Gam Fam the captions say gay
Gam Fam i know im just saying it says gay so it's not right
Honestly, I found RiME a very good game despite the easy to solve puzzles and the fact that you have to look things up if you want to hunt down all the collectibles just for the sake of getting everything and the alternative ending.
Going for all trophies now.
there is no before you buy. i am buying!
It's stunning. Just beat it. You'll love it.
Wasn't there a switch version announced?
Yeah
I think it might be download only, just like Yooka Laylee will be :)
Thomas Byford i saw a rime case/box thingy for the switch at gamestop
I bought it in a box at GameStop 2 weeks ago
wow I've never before watched any of this series because of the clickbait-y thumbnails, but this was a pleasingly concise review that was to the point!
Rime is like if Journey, The witness and windwaker had a baby. OK
I loved this game, and the puzzles were challenging for me, especially the Robot puzzles and the day/night puzzles. When I reached the end, I sobbed when the Robot turned into a door, and I lost it when the fox died. This game is one of the best games I have ever played.
He looks like Hao
Who's here for PS plus in February 2018 and disappointed that we didn't get dark souls 2??
I am actually happy cause i just bought Dark souls 2 few days ago :)
C. A. Well we are getting bloodborn and ratchet and clank in a few days so I'm not complaining
If this game have a main focus on being relaxing then the puzzles should be relaxing too.
like Abzu
If this game have a main focus on being adventure but for + 3 to + 12 ages its fine again.
If I'm wrong, I'm sorry.
Playing this game now and loving every second!!!
Is it just me or do I really wanna play the game but I really don't wanna pay for it? Looks like a fun game but not really *worth* it.
Ashley Samuel Kent is that your middle name or do you share a account
It's now free just after 8 months lol
David Tan its free with psplus
If you've played Journey, Abzu, or Ico, I'd say don't spend your money. You've basically played this game of you've played even one of those games.
This game has a special place in my heart.
a "bit" sad... a "bit"...
Wheres top 10 things friday the 13th players hate?
I beat , had an amazing experience, loved the visuals... but that ending though.. and the credits really got me in the feel box.
Wait for sale for me ! Not paying £29.99 for a 6-7 hour game with simple puzzles and an unsatisfying ending. 9.99 is more like what i'd pay.
Andy Elliott The game is worth the full price. I played a few hours today and it totally hooked me.
Mortex an*
Andy Elliott I'd pay 15 or 20 prob
I would have been perfectly fine with it costing the full $80 that other games with less meaning cost. Rime is amazing.
is it as good as journey or the witness or any team ico games
I've just finished today, and man, this game had some strong feelings going on. Very emotional
I recomend
If this game had combat, would be way interesting to some people. I know some have trouble appreciating the art of games but combat/intuitive gameplay keeps a lot of people around. Would be an interesting topic for you guy. Are combat games just more fun and/or well received? What defines a video game?
Tony Peluso
This game shouldn't. But they should release an RPG with this same game engine and look. I wouldn't mind seeing something like that.
Awesome, awesome game. It looks like an innocent game at first, but as you progress through the chapters, emotions will invade your brain. Some parts are absolutely stunning and the end is... just play the game.
30$ is too much for this, also bad optimization on PC.
VaJohn wait for sales
same here i'll buy it once it on sale for a reasonable price
acg said that 1440p works on even an old gtx 980 system so I doubt it's that bad
How much is the average 6-9 hour singleplayer game worth?
quality >>>> quantity, games these days always have a lot of filler contents that do nothing good to the whole experience. i like games that try to do the "design by subtraction" thing. some games were good but ruined by those unnecessary things because people want longer game time. it is sad.
I played The Witness and really enjoyed it! My boyfriend also bought it and we played on separate screens and helped each other because some puzzles are INCREDIBLY hard! I've also played Abzu and Journey and liked them both! Definitely going to be buying this!
Who's here because it's FREE on Epic Game store?
I’m here because i MISSED it.
I’m watching the video to see how angry i should be about forgetting about it.
It was
Thankfully, I downloaded this for free with PS Plus.
You managed to spoil the entire first part of the game for me. I thought this video would not do that based on the tittle....
Don't look at the gameplay then...
I'm curious about Rime because it's from Spain, and in the last decade there haven't been a lot of big productions here.
looks like a damn good game but just not my type of game
Well,it is that kind of game but if you want to just relax and get your brain working this might as well be the game.
I try doing these funny jokes because asking for likes is just dumb...
please help
tl;dr he wants likes
Vincent_g stop it get some help
It's ironic for those who do not get a joke
Trying way too hard seems as overused as epic is..and commenting on it seems like it worked
shut up
I finished the game at maximum 4-5 hours and minimum 3 hours and as someone who loves drawing and goes to animation the graphics are really pleasing and tho I'm still confused on some things (one being the guy in the red coat) it's so pleasing and comforting and the fact that the puzzles aren't to hard and relatively easy makes it comforting knowing a lot of my friends can join in and play and feel the experience~~~
Rime is one of my favorite games along with Kingdom hearts and One piece Pirate Warriors 3💙💚❤️
Me: What the fuck is rime?
Jonanator this game was announced in 2013 haha.
What the fuck is Jonanator?
a dumb name
Rime is also a frost-like white covering on trees and surfaces in cold temperatures (it's basically frozen dew)
the game is inspired by an old poem called Rime and the Ancient Mariner.
Just beat this game. I didn't get stuck on any puzzles, but I kinda feel like "challenging puzzles" wasn't the point of this game. It had a story to tell, and I feel like it told it very well. To be perfectly honest, it hit kind of close to home for me.
its free so we aint paying and my god stop uploading videos making people not buying games.
To me this game was poetic. Especially in the end, where everything is explained and everything connects. Buy it.
Wanna play Breath of the Wild? Don't have a Switch? Don't worry! You can play Rime!
What do you mean? The games are nothing alike. BoTW is as open as it gets and Rime is kind of linear.
BOTW is on the Wii U also, and Rime is on Switch. Your comment works on no levels.
Nuff said?
This game will be free soon
Why do you think so!
Uh... No it won't. Unless you use emulators of course.
Kiz Epic Journey what emulator would run this? It's a BRAND NEW game for current systems and PC. Get your facts straight console peasant
He said "soon". Some people got No Man's Sky running on their PC for free illegally.
Kiz Epic Journey haha yup! Rare to have a smart person comment.
Delightful little gem of a game and surprisingly emotional experience
DAMNIT AGAIN NOT ON A MAC FUCKING KILL ME
I have a Hackintosh that's definitely gaming capable, so I do wish more devs would support macOS, but this is why I have a Windows partition for the meantime 😅
Really no game dev is gonna support MAC save for the odd 2 or 3. Really if you want to game on a computer you're gonna need PC. Plus I believe some game devs said it's a nightmare getting MAC support for a game cuz of Apple itself.
Mister Shadow the truth hurts. *cries in corner waiting for a good game for mac*
It's not gonna happen. Besides Apple products aren't the quality products they used to be. Real shame is ppl still buy them even though there's better products out there.
I see you added a background in your thumbnail. Nice job! It looks great!
I just realized a part of this video RIMES AAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH
I'll leave
This is a good example of a game that will age well graphically.
