To make your razor chopper a little more solid, why not drill a small hole and put a screw in the center of the razor where the slot already is? That should go a long way to making your slicer more stable
Fun fact: The Gladiator is actually capable of shooting anything he sees on a 44x60" board, the farthest distance would be the diagonal on opposite corners, for example bottom left to top right, that distance is 74.4" but because the tank itself has a size bigger than 2.4" the 72" range will always be sufficient.
I really like how the red of the armor pops next to the black and cream of the rest of the tank. It also makes it easier to tell apart the battle tank from the transport impulsor (even if that one isn't painted yet)
ERA works perfectly for space marines too, since its a lot lighter and more mobile/versatile compared to regular armor which fits their whole mobility focus
@@DrakonPhD The problem is that when the ERA explodes (as ERA does), the space marine is gonna get a lot of damage +shrapnel is gonna fly everywhere into the space marine and his brothers, both things that are oviously bad. Thats the reason why light vehicules (mostly) don't use ERA, since the armour of those vehicules is not strong enough to resist the explosion.
As bad as they may be on the tabletop right now, I think you should add a stormraven gunship. Nothing is funnier to me than being able to airdrop a dreadnought behind enemy lines
Jay, I always love watching you work, and your excitement for the game. I'm in absolute awe today of those armor plates, and the dedication down to the rivets. I've got bad tremors, so precision details like that are just so cool to be able to see someone do.
I think the land raider hit the right vibe for 40K with the retro Great War shape and sponson guns. It keeps the big flat surfaces from feeling empty but gives lots of room for customization. But the rhino just felt like a lunch box to me, except maybe the sisters rhino with all its extra flair
I can't stress enough how much I love your sponsor. That's not something I can usually ever say about sponsors. But Cobalt Keep surprises me yet again, and thankfully I waited on buying paint racks because I frickin need these. And of course your skill, talent, and results are mindblowing, as per usual.
Definitely do the Land Raider next! Also, I just found out this cool trick. For mold lines on things like those barrels on the back of your Gladiator, just apply some liquid cement (like the Tamiya stuff) and it melts the mold lines away. Tried it, and it actually works!
Thank you so much for this video!!! I love and I mean LOVE your infantry recipe and have had a hard time matching the color to vehicles. Thank you so much for showing how to do it!
Nice I just did a black templar Impulsor added blue lights on the underside for the hovering effect. Put the battery pack in the middle of the cab and the switch is under one of the side guns.
Nice video and love to see you enjoying pulling your tank together. Just wondering why the lights, engines and viewing lenses and viewports aren't painted. I think that would help you feel even more enthusiastic about this tank on the battlefield. Thanks for the vids. Your enthusiasm is wonderful.
oh damn. i have been pretty meh on the space marine vehicles as well but this tank looks dope! a tiny addition i would maybe make is painting in the little circular lights on the front and maybe add some OSl? Might make it pop a bit
For the additional items added to any tank have a look at pictures from WW2 and you find some amazing stuff that was just thrown on them. For a different camouflage search the British army in Berlin for an urban camouflage which I've never seen any Warhamer player use.
These not-rhinos and not-predators are really horrible but you managed to make this one look very cool, and most astonishing of all is that it actually reads as black XD Kudos to you good sir.
I literally primed my first prismaris impulser last night from the combat patrol and was going to paint it today! This video could not have been posted at a better time!
Excellent work as always Jay! Looks awesome! I’m sad there is no black Black Templar decal in the area of white at the front, definitely think that would finish and put the cherry on a great cake!
The way you paint your black templars is perfect anyone who uses straight black on a model will quickly find there is almost no way to make a convincing gradation or blend from that.
I've had to go to my FLGS to pick up a Gladiator for THIS very reason and I now blame you Jay. Absolutely awesome execution BTW. As for your next one, I'm saying the Invictus Battle BUTTTTTT you have to give it 2 hands so it can wield a beefy sword and a gun. Lets say a Black Templars take on the AMP Suit from Avatar / APU from Matrix.
The executioner has so much shooting. If I recall correctly you can only fast role 2 weapons on it. The rest have to be separate due to different rules.
Saw an upgrade for the Land Raider in Etsy for the Icarus pattern in a Black Templars theme. Its a spendy upgrade, but it looks sick, and it makes for a seriously girthy boi. Would make a great (and time-consuming) project!
Land Raiders and Rhino based vehicles are the best tanks available to Astartes. So the answer is obviously that you should work on the LRC next. Also: paint the lights of this one ;)
I"ve seen Conversion kits to add back tank tracks to the floaty space marines tanks ... The day I get primaris tanks for my Blood Angels, it'll be with them tracks or nothing .... Floaty without Fly is an Eldar or Tau thing, not imperial !
It's cool to see this! I, myself have a Gladiator Lancer and a Repulsor but I don't know how to paint them so that they can look good. I cannot afford an airbrush and I'm playing Ultramrine, is there a way I can use to not have flat tanks?
Please paint a Landraider Redeemer. The most Black Templerish of all the vehicles. It would be a great birthday present for me with. With only four months delay.
A special thanks to Cobalt Keep for sponsoring this video!!! www.cobaltkeep.com/ Coupon Code: COBALT10 for 10% off Hobby Rack Products!
If those racks were 6 wide for droppers, instead of 5, they'd be perfect for Army Painter Fanatic.

and they lost some model access
The T'au Hammerhead is very much the same! Huzzah for ridiculously long gun ranges!
@@thanatos5150 The basilisk comes in: Please alow myself to introduce myself 😈
Seeing someone this enthusiastic about warhammer cures my hobby burnout, and I don’t think I’m the only one.
It's exactly the reason why I find Jay to be the best warhammer youtuber by far!
I can also recommend The Kieran Show. The two Kierans are very positive, funny and a true pleasure to listen to.
I know! He has helped me get comfortable with my own painting skill, and as helped me get back into 40k with his enthusiasm.
Since we re in orktober, you spoke years ago about a ork kill rig/mad max doof wagon kitbash 👀
Please make it happen
Yeah, I want to see that!!!
@@minxlove01I’ve wanted to see this for years!!

Jay! That white strip accross the front was begging for some iconography and battle damage! Now go paint your Land Raider!
The extra armor looks like explosive reactive armor
Totally thought the same thing! It’s an awesome detail to make the vehicle read more “tank” like.

I thought it looked like key areas to shoot like in video games hahahah

classic predator to see how it fares with the Primaris one. It d be interesting to see them side by side
I will offically have my first ever game of 40k next tuesday. My Thousand Sons vs Emperor's Children
Good luck man!

Howd it go?
can't wait for the rep. executioner... I've been putting it off as well, maybe that'll be just the thing I need to assemble and paint
As bad as they may be on the tabletop right now, I think you should add a stormraven gunship. Nothing is funnier to me than being able to airdrop a dreadnought behind enemy lines
I teleport 11 dreadnoughts behind the lines in every game. That's tactical dreadnoughts though

Jay: Says he's going to focus on his orks
Also Jay: *Uploads another black templar video*
Me: Huh?
When the UA-cam notification notifies you the same day of the upload and not 3 weeks after😳
For rivets you can buy resin ones used for 1/35 scale armor. You can get like dozens for under $20. work pretty well.
I don't know why people roast your templar color scheme when they are easily the best looking black templar army that I've seen on youtube lol
Definitely do the Land Raider next! Also, I just found out this cool trick. For mold lines on things like those barrels on the back of your Gladiator, just apply some liquid cement (like the Tamiya stuff) and it melts the mold lines away. Tried it, and it actually works!
Was so worried you were going to forget to paint the purity seals but was so reviled when i saw them painted at the end !
I was thinking to use some extra armor for my dragon templar's vehicles that look like stone work to fit the knight aesthetic.
The lights aren't painted?
I noticed that, same goes with the lens on the viewports
Or the purity seals
Yeah now you need to do a part 2 where you finish the tank @eonsofbattle
@@ww2destroyerand engines
As a bit of a tangent, ive started using wooden blocks and 3m tape for my holders, and i absolutely love it.
Maybe for the blue black/gray you can use Vallejo intermediate blue, I have used it over black and like it

I have to say, the extra armor plates look really good! Great representation of bolt on reactive armor!
That plastic putty impact crater trick is fantastic! I definitely need to try this in the future.
Your positivity and talent is truly inspiring! Please keep doing this forever mate, we appreciate your content.

Lancer is my gladiator variant of choice as well. Having a main gun that is almost guaranteed to hit every time you shoot with it is pretty amazing
For someone who doesn’t enjoy painting veichles, you do a great job! Love this dude!!
Do a Land Rider next!
or..
A Templar-Dorn Approved - Vidicator!
That looks incredible! You always make it look effortless. Great job.
I think your templar paint scheme looks great man. You did a killer job.
I'd love to see that second Land Raiderget painted up, and see how you make it different.
Perfect timing! I had just finished building my gladiator the other day and this will come in handy :)
Seems a little weird that only the scratchbuilt armor took any projectile damage.
its refitted from old tanks that were destroyed in battle

Grey Templars, you paint them grey, so happy you admitted it x)
Landraider. Also it feels so strange you not doing some kind of osl or lens flare on the lights and optics of the tank. Looks great either way!

Since Jay asked so nicely I have to say I'd like to see the Land Raider get built and painted next.
Thank you for teaching me how to make my black templars look better Jay 😭🙏
This is a cool upgrade and paint job. My issue with the impulsor is that its basically a pick up truck. I don't want my BTs in a Hilux or Ranger!
It's cool to see this! I, myself have a Gladiator Lancer and a Repulsor but I don't know how to paint them so that they can look good. I cannot afford an airbrush and I'm playing Ultramrine, is there a way I can use to not have flat tanks?
You should do another challenge video to get all of your black Templar vehicles painted in a certain amount of time!

Please paint a Landraider Redeemer. The most Black Templerish of all the vehicles. It would be a great birthday present for me with. With only four months delay.
Literally built a gladiator with ERA and I love it
The gladiator lancer is actually elite ngl one of the few primaris things I like
what white did you use for the front panel its so rich?
Adding silver to the armour impact damage would add a nice detail I think
Ok maybe this is a silly question, but how do you get contrast paint from a pot into your airbrush?
Pipette probably
Or a large wet brush 👍
You need to build and paint the retro land raider you got at Adepticon. 😁👍
The extra plating looks like ERA (Explosive Reactive Amour) that they use on irl tanks
Love it…still building mine…my favourite is still my LRC…there is only the Black Templars…all else is Heresy
For the God Emperor!
This paint scheme would look amazing once I finish my BT Army box!
Jay you forgot the lights and lenses!
Have you considered using masking tape for the white front? Paint the white first, mask it and go for the rest.
with that applique armor it looks even more like a space Bradley
if you did the white first with a airbrush, then mask it and dothe rest of the tank, it would be smoother and quicker
Stormhawk interceptor next, for templars it could be similar to the Aliens movie drop ship.
Looks great
I really like painting vehicles.
But then, I got my start hobbying building scale model cars & airplanes with my dad, when I was a wee lad.
I prefer the land raider for the black templars, classic tracks and a front ramp to unleash the templars
The choppers tend to be a good tool, but they aren't really designed for plasticard...they're mainly for use with wood.
