Hermann is the best character by far. Kind, loyal, funny, wise, hes the truest, honest man we all desire to have in our lives.

I have a hard time understanding what he is saying a lot of the time. When he is yelling into his helmet during a fire, I don't know how anyone knows what he is trying to tell them.

I agree with Herman: Your career is yours, and nobody can tell you to just " get a new one. "

Chicago Fire really knows how to pull the heart strings. Andy Darden, Hallie, now Jones.

After that came Leslie Shay, Danny Borrelli, Anna Turner, Lt. Paul Colannino, Benny Severide, and Otis.

I was unable to watch this episode when it originally aired due to a blackout and thanks to OnDemand i was able to watch it.
I saw the ending and i did NOT see it coming! I am completely blown away. I was starting to really like Jones.

Really sad at what happened with Rebecca Jones, until the last act of this episode I was not sure what was going to happen with her. I hope that Firehouse 51 is able to work past the frustrations her death brings them.

Her father was too busy trying to protect her from the job of a firefighter, he didn’t even give any thought to what she wanted, as she wasn’t competent enough to make decisions for herself

It made me sad that Jones chose to end her life, but I think the writers did this on purpose because the statistics are staggering that a huge number of people in the service whether they are military, police officers, etc. do commit suicide. I believe the writers wanted to reflect the repercussions of how stressful and demanding this line of work can be. I understand why her father didn't want her to become a fire fighter. Maybe, it did break her heart that her father did not approve of it. I understand that he was protecting her, but becoming a firefighter was everything to her.

Rebecca Jones could've gotten a lawyer to fight her father and prevent herself from getting transferred to a desk job because of being an only daughter and she reminds her father of her mother, who got killed in a car accident when she was a child, and that Rebecca survived the accident.

In my opinion killing off Jones is a HUGE mistake, her storyline was starting to evolve & she was quickly becoming one of the best characters on the show. Terrible mistake.

Yeah, by killing her they accidently say, women can't be firefighters.

Just now working my way through this show, and I have to agree.
The Jones character was a breath of fresh air from all the tired Dawson drama.
Plus the actress carried the part very well. She didn't look like some kid playing dress up in her gear, or walk with over exaggerated swagger like so many actresses do when playing the part of a confident and capable action type figure.
I was very disappointed in how they killed her off so quickly. Kind of lost interest continuing on with the show as I know all this Dawson and Casey ridiculous drama will just keep getting drug out. (they have zero chemistry as well and kiss like your 90 year old grandparents. Be better to just not have them kiss at all.)

Her so called father is WRONG in the way he treats his daughter. Especially if she looks like her Mom he should be happy his daughter survived the car wreck.
