I can't thank Jamie enough for all they've done for DID research and bettering the psych industry. Gave me faith to try therapy again and found an awesome therapist. I've made more genuine progress in the past few months after finding their book than years prior.

Thank you for taking the time to recognize DID in your trauma podcast. So often, those of us who have been traumatized the most get retraumatized by the mental health system that says we are too much, rare, or not real. This movement of hearing from those with Lived Experience is going to help the trauma field advance for those of us with DID. We need this as the field of trauma has mostly abandoned us.

I have D.I.D. and there was no good help in the mental health field. I think dissociation is at the root of psychosis, BPD, Bi polar, schizophrenia, so many of the common diagnosis have dissociation that is not recognized.

Dr. Colin Ross and his studies on this agree with you. He has a great talk going over the research here on youtube.

I hope you do get and have help though. (Inside or outside psychotherapy.) It is tough to live with and we all need support.
