I too recommend a book 'The betrayal of the self' by Arno Gurren. His other book 'The insanity of Normality' is also good. I think you would like them. Are you a fan of Manly P. Hall, Michael Tsarion, or Paul Chek? Based on your tangent I would think you are a fan of or have heard of at least one of them. I too am very 'cool headed' even when my inner world is in turmoil. Every girl I have dated has mentioned how calm I am all of them time. Meanwhile my mind if going ape shit and doing back flips over every little thing most of the time. I think it is a gift and a curse. Being out of touch with my feelings brought me anxiety in my early 20s and I suffered greatly from it. That was then this is now and I have made great strides, anxiety is no longer an issue but people with a lot of water in their chart I do not understand at all its like they speak a whole other language and I usually attract them. The good thing is people like us can make important decisions and do not buckle under emotional pressure so...you know....we have that going for us.

I find myself to be deeply complex. I'd describe myself to be open and yet detached at the same time? Love when I get talking to people about the deepness of their feelings, seeing the real person. Small talk is a turn off. I can be often reserved, love knowledge and learning as much about the universe as possible. Quite detached from family and a part of me doesn't really seek friendships. I adore romantic relationships with just one woman, though. I'm very homely, not a crowd person. Love being at home.
Nostalgic_Chaos Nice to finally find another person with the same sun, moon and ascending sign. :) Although for me, I'm confused about the aquarius moon because I can't relate to the almost monstrously detached picture most people paint out aquarius moons to be. I'm quite sensitive and gentle spirited. I have never been out of touch with emotional experiences in others or myself...but that's not to deny on the other hand that I do like to intellectualize things and can sometimes get lost in it once that takes off. It seems to me unless someone is speaking from personal experience, they don't truly know what the aquarius moon experiences inside, emotionally. But in relating to what you described, I'm also a homebody and can appear very quiet and reserved on the outside without even knowing sometimes because by nature my focus is internal.

I'd also describe myself to be quite the typical Virgo, in that I definitely am a bit of a perfectionist, very clean and very hygiene and germ conscious. Analytical too, but I don't have the "worry" trait that apparently Virgo is known for having. Perhaps something else in my chart balances that out. Would you describe yourself as having strong Virgo traits too or?
Curious to know where you have Venus? I have it in Cancer, which makes me quite sentimental, but I like it. It's my only Cancer placement. I also have Mars in Aries, and Mercury in Virgo.
Nostalgic_Chaos I definitely have typical Virgo traits like being primarily detail-oriented, very health conscious, always trying out new natural & organic beauty products and foods, etc. Sometimes when I see people clean I can't help but point out in my head all the spots they missed and fight the urge to make any comments about it lol. I never say it out loud because it's not necessary and I recognize this as a flaw. But I think, like you said, there are other placements in my chart too that probably cancel out uneasiness or worry. My Venus is also in Cancer and I have another Cancer placement in Mars, Mercury I have Libra.

I'm a qualified Personal Trainer and enjoy nutritional studies too. Ah, so you know all about the Cancer in Venus then? I love that I have this placement, however, I don't know about you, but it makes me quite sentimental and very passionate at times in the past, quite intense when it comes to love. I've since eased up on the intensity now though. I was more intense in my early 20's, but Cancer in Venus has caused me to always be seeking a wonderful, pure, beautiful fairy tale-like romance since I was a child. It also makes me very nurturing in relationships etc... Yearning for commitment. Do you find that your Venus in Cancer placement has also made you quite intense when it comes to love? My girlfriend has Mercury in Libra like you. That's a lovely placement.
Nostalgic_Chaos I understand that to a T. It only makes sense since Cancer is such a deep rooted sign in emotions and sentimental values. What is it that made you ease up on your intensity? I find that interesting because most people who are intense usually stay that way or if anything, become more intense. I have tendencies like that too, but because my voice and mannerisms are soft I come across as more gentle. I'm sure my Cancer traits are amplified because I have it in Mars too. Not the best placement for that but it is what it is. I think it's cool that you have Mercury and Mars in its home placements. I can imagine your Aries is what contributes to your passion in relationships.
My mars is in scorpio but my moon is in aquarius so i can get insanely jealous but I will never admit it to myself or anyone else .....

Here's a strange one. I'm Scorpio sun/ Scorpio rising/ Aquarius moon; she's Aries sun/ Cancer rising/ Cancer moon. I can tell you I fell in love with the moon child, but that aggressive Aries personality quickly showed up - that would have been a deal breaker for me at first. yes Moon in Capricorn is a bit slow and reserved to open up and declare the affections, but they tend to be in relationships for the long run and serious intentions and not just for kicks and giggles so if he did not love you he would not be still in the relationships, BEsides His Sun in Aqua makes him even more aloof, and needing distance

I just wish I had sometimes had someone to commiserate with and maybe give me a hug when I'm upset - instead of crossing arms and peering down her nose, analyzing me and saying, "I'm sorry, honey, I just don't get it!"
Lol that's funny because I actually like a guy whos scorpion moon and I'm aquarius moon, and we are both Taurus. We both are able to think analytically however he has mood swings and is more sensitive than me due to the scorpion moon.

Aqua is detached and rational but humanitarian, saturn is more restrictive and dry but in Aqua, in its own sign Saturn is actually quite good because of the good dignity so can even help the Moon

maybe there is dramatic conjunction to your Moon-with north node or Mars or Uranus? A planet in the sign of the Moon or aspecting it closely will fully override the influence of the sign. Not haviing any planets in the sign before or after the Moon can also make one more emotionally sensitive because there is no buffer

Same.. I'm Pisces sun, Aquarius moon and my feelings go very deep. Maybe that's due to other aspects in my chart, I'm not sure. But sometimes my emotions hit me with brute force, depending on what the source is for those strong feelings. I feel everything to my core, but strangely enough, I am fully capable of rationalizing some of those deep feelings so they don't completely consume me.

I'm pretty much how you described yourself, especially with being observant, unemotional and intelligent. I'm also very honest and try to be as unbiased as possible, I've also been described to be quite individualistic, but I'm generally liked and very friendly as well.

it will make you more action oriented because they are all male signs: more outgoing or having to do things to feel good about your self. Aries rising will definitely make you more passionate and reactive, but the Aqua Sun and Gemini Moon will also give you objectivity so you can observe your self and reactions with more detachment.
Lada, my husband and I are both aquarius. he is very rational/practical/stay at home guy while I'm very passionate and dramatic/idialistic and OUTgoing.

you do not have to take into consideration the sign--just keep in mind that it is best to cut the hair while the moon is growing and not to cut it while it is decreasing. As for washing the hair it is not good to wash when the Moon is in water signs-which you can see by checking which days you can eat carbs and avoid those for washing. But I am afraid many ppl need to wash their hair each day, due to pollution in the evnironment

you have Moon and Sun above the horizon, so you will need social achievements and worldly validation. Also will give you focus on career and succes. But because you are Sun and Asc in female signs, this can make you a bit less obvious and a bit more gentle in your approach! Nothing bad in that! Shyness can come from other factors: the position of Saturn and Ketu..

oh then things get way to firy. emotions are really dramatic and moods swings and extreme emotional reactions happen way more if a woman has Moon with Rahu. This does not reflect at all for me personally. I was wondering if the Sun sign can be far more dominant than for instance the Ascendant or the Moon sign? I am a Cancerian with Gemini rising and my Moon in Aquarius. I am REALLY emotional, definitely not clear thinking and level headed or dispassionate about things and definitely not detached. Meditate on the basic elements of life! What happens when you mix water with air? If the air is strong enough it will dehydrate the water placements! If I were to meet you, I would probably have no idea you had a Scorpio Sun with that extremely detached Moon sign!
