When a couple has been married so long they start looking like each other...
😂 😂 😂
Oh yes. That's a thing actually. Hahaha
yeah! Why does that happen tho? My mom and dad look so similar. Been married since 1988
They say you're attracted to people who look like you
@@bageba8 that's true. But if I meet someone who looks like me, I think I'm gonna pass tho LOL..
"Mom he has a girlfriend"
"That's dumb who brings sand to the beach" lmfao
Took me a while to get this one
… i don’t even wanna talk about the 5 minutes it took of me staring into the distance to do the math
I still don’t get it
@@BMMEC6000 The beach is full of sand, no need to bring sand to the beach.
College is full of young adults, no need to bring a girlfriend you just sleep around.
@@azmah8523 Nah
"Who's Tabitha?" Priceless.
Lololol
That's what I thought too!
@@michagabo8819 what the fuck is this
Literally the best part
That was my favorite part, too.
As a father and stepdad to 6 young adults, 4 female and 2 male, all who attended university, I thoroughly enjoyed this clip.
By the time the youngest went off to school, I just loaned her the old pickup truck and said she could bring it back at Thanksgiving, or when she got expelled.
Whichever came first.
Haha! Bridget is 11 of 12 in my family. I think there were some parallels
@@CharlieBerens You betcha!
@@CharlieBerens wow, by that number the babies just walk out of the womb.
@@CharlieBerens Cheaper by the dozen as they say.
@@CharlieBerens Wow, you dad just doesn't look the type. He must toss and turn a lot in his sleep.
The dad starting to cry once the kid is out of sight is so spot-on. Happened to my dad all three times we kids went to college.
❤️
Dang! Y'all went to college 3 times each!! Yuns must be like PH.D. Smart
" we kids" 🤣🤣🤣very Midwestern
🍷🍷🍹🍹🍸🍸
Can we just take a minute to appreciate how many drives Charlie and atleast 2 other people had to take to shoot the mom and dad versions of him? 😂😂
thank you! all while watching out for deer
@@CharlieBerens thankfully deer have crossing signs at specific locations that allows them to cross.
@@patrickkelly3486 They don't always heed them...
@@g.davidlawrence8471 your right they should move the signs to like school crossing areas and crosswalks. It would be so much safer for them.
@@patrickkelly3486 We used to have a Deer Crossing sign at the edge of my yard. The county took it down & the deer had to find another crossing point.
Compartment for the doorknob. What an optimistic outlook.
Helping daughter pass the fake ID check was an absolutely priceless cool-dad moment, even if it was blackmail 💀🤣 my older brother hit me with that shit, caught me way off guard 🤦 she's no amateur
I loved how he called her by her by the fake id name at the end. That’s going to be hard to explain to his wife
English plz
"Who's Tabitha"
That was my favorite LMBO 🤣👍
Dad being all callous until the *moment* the car door shuts is 100% accurate
OMG this was SPOT ON how my parents dropped me off at college. My dad literally couldn't try leaving fast enough after arriving in the parking lot and my mom had to get him to help move my stuff into the dorm. Then the second everything was in there I went to go check the main office to register in and midway through talking to the lady I get a call from my parents saying they were ALREADY DRIVING AWAY AND GOODBYE!
That may be true, but dont forget at the end, Dad is all sad, and worried. Thats why they want to leave so fast, so you dont see them all emotional/happy/proud/scared... lol
@@MrHazz0 All too true. I found out years later that my dad was just VERY BAD at emotional situations and it was so hard for him to drop off his daughter to college for the first time. I found this out because he had a hard time saying goodbye to me dropping me off at an airport and I realized why he always bailed so fast! Love my dad!
well at least you didn't have to suffer through your dad walking the halls of the dorm introducing himself and telling people who i was and what room i was in........but in the end what can you do dads love us and that's what they do
@@MrHazz0 but what if, and hear me out here, they stay and just display some feelings instead of looking like assholes and leaving as fast as they can
Ditto with my parents back in 71. Sigh.
The knowing look between dad and tabitha when she says it smells like a frat is perfect!
Oh Charlie you just reminded me of my family's most infamous story. I WILL NOT tell you where they lived, but I will tell you that my grampa and my mom both went "over the border" into Wisconsin to drink. Mom was underage at the time, Grampa was suuuuper not supposed to be out drinking with 4 other kids at home. They saw each other across the bar. Neither one ever said a word about it until I was an adult, so 20+ years later.
definitely from minnesota lmao
Sorry did they just get drunk? Why is it an Infamous story.
Meh. Two people pretending they didn't see each other while doing illegal shit is nothing special.
I remember the over the border to Wisconsin days.
My Dad moved me back and forth from college more times than I can count.
Then he moved me to my first place. By the time I met my husband and he asked my dad if he could marry me my Dad said, “You want her? She’s yours! I don’t have to bail her out with money anymore, I don’t have to do her taxes anymore, and I sure as hell don’t have to move her stuff anymore.”
man of culture
Oh. He had to just give you money, not pay for your bail. Got it.
I still remember when my older sister went off to college. Was one of only 2 times I've seen my dad cry, the other being his father's funeral.
"Who brings sand to the beach" hahaha
I just miss Tabitha! That was a genuine laugh out loud!
“So cute, you have a little compartment for your doorknob there.” 🤣🤣🤣
One of my favorite sketches of yours yet! Each character played off each other so well. Poor Tabitha, though…she will be missed.
“Who brings sand to the beach?” IM WEAK😂😂😂
Mine just completed Navy Bootcamp, yep cried behind my very dark mirrored sunglasses at Graduation.
Mine graduated Feb of 2014... it was a flat 0 degrees as we stood in the parking garage waiting to get into the building for the ceremony. But yes, I cried. Oh heck, who am I kidding, I'm crying now!
His commander-in-chief is an embarrassment and a laughing stock to the whole world. I served in the Navy from 86-91 as an ET-5 (electronics technician) and served under a great president, Ronald Reagan and then left with the Elder Bush in charge.
@@kellyt5341 thank you for your service. Yeah couldn’t agree more! My son will be working on F18 Growlers at NASWI. Graduated top 6 in his division. Plans on school and a career in Aviation following the Navy. Proud Dad!
Please thank your son for his service, and wish him all the best in his career! I’m sure you are proud but a little sad he’s leaving the nest.
Thanks for shout out to Kalamazoo, Mi. Was impressed she even had the right zip code.
oh yeah didn't have to google it at all
Charlie gets Minnesotans and Wisconsinites so well.
Tabitha's from Michigan, too.
@@acoupleofschoes exactly he gets the Michiganders too
And the Hoosiers.
OMG "Sleeping on the Davenport."!!!!! My great aunt would say that, I haven't heard that in years!!! Thank you for that memory!!! :) Another great video!
So funny!!
Think my college experience beats all. My parents pulled up with a fishing boat when I moved out of college my junior year😑 It was their frugal moving trailer🤦♀️ Geez Louise!
You keep the spirit of Wisconsin alive in my heart. Lived in Manitowoc when my family came to the US and you really capture all the great Midwestern, Great Lakes, catholic life in a way that perks up my day and gives me great laughs. Keep er comin! (Greetings from the pacific northwest, Ocean Shores, Washington )
Didn't realize we've never seen Charlie acting a female part before! Ive practically gotten used to that as it's such a standard for the guy comic UA-camrs. Also, Charlie did actually look somewhat like his mom! Maybe it was the hairstyle.
To be honest, shave that beard and he could pass as a woman.
or the 5 o'clock shadow. Sorry, Charlie.
he's been learning from taylor calmus🤣
I was getting strong Trey Kennedy vibes from this sketch😂
@@sjaranaz and Heidi Calmus. And Penn Holderness, Dr. Schmidt, and Frank James. And You Betcha Myles (only he can do it with a full beard and no wig. Sometimes a lady cardigan though). 😂
Alternatively, you’re moving into a giant dorm, not at ground floor level, and the cart they give you can’t go up or down stairs so you get in a giant line to use one of the 2 elevators they have. And wait. And wait. And then start to panic because you only have a parking pass for one hour and you haven’t even got to your room and you have half an hour left
my son was on the 5th floor, no elevator! so glad that's over with!
Dejope @ UW
yeah, we walked up the stairs. took a ton of trips, but we got done sooner than the elevator line did
One elevator, seventh floor, twenty minute parking here. LOL, thankfully I had someone to repark the car. (waiting for the elevator took over an hour).
Stumbled on this while eating old chicken strips after five grueling hours getting dorm gear for our first to go to college. 100% perfect way to end the night.
I just brought our youngest to college this month. Tears did run.. Thank you for putting the comedic spin on something that is taking a while to get use to. 😊😊😊
Thanks for your mention of Kalamazoo. You even got the zip code right! I look forward to meeting Tabitha soon.
Who's Tabitha?
His ending jokes almost always have a great one-two punch. Love this guy!
Please never stop making videos. They're all hysterical and make every day so much better.
I am an Armenian from Canada that was born and raised in Russia. Guys, you are so nice and funny. Simply hilarious can't stop laughing. Great comedy skills
Charlie I've watched you since Manitowoc Minute, but the writing on this episode was so damn good, you earned a sub. Keep 'er movin! 👍
the way dad is like gotta go and then immediately loses it in the car is so real hahaha
The love is clearly expressed in that hug. Glad to see it.
"I just miss Tabetha." Who's Tabetha?" My favorite part by far! Great job Charlie, loved it. Keep 'er movin'.
This is how it was for me. My mom was the one who said goodbye 7 times, and my dad seemed fine, but he had texted and called every day at 6pm since I moved
Ending is by far the best part. Lol
My little Tabatha
@@CharlieBerens
You made me crack up and helped cheer up my day. Thank you for the entertainment and keep up the good work.
I just discovered your channel.... now I can't get anything done!!! I'm binge-watching all of them. Great way to kill the day, thanks!!!
Charlie, you would feel at home in north east Pennsylvania. I’ve said ope my entire life. Tons of Irish Catholics. More bars and churches than anywhere else in the country per capita (prior to the pandemic). We still get the Monday after thanksgiving off since it’s the first day of deer season.
You and your wife look like a match made in Heaven!
we have a great relationship
@@CharlieBerens Tabitha Zilenski your sister?
On a serious note, watching the kids move away is one of the most painful things that will ever happen to you. We're happy for them, but the hole in your life is huge.
....on the flip side...I'm so glad I don't have kids!
Father and stepfather of 6 here. By the time the youngest goes, I’m just hoping they don’t move back.
@@briangarrow448 Oh, did they hurt you?
@@josephpostma1787 I guess sarcasm doesn’t translate well in comments. All of them are great young adults who are the shining stars in my eyes. And I’m still sarcastic with them, as they are with me.
OPE! Thanks for the Kalamazoo shout-out! We love ya.
1:56 - "I think you have a shot, you just gotta slide into his "MDs"!!!! 🤣😂🤣
Thank you Charlie for bringing some humor into these troubling times. I try to catch all your vids, you never fail to brighten my day.
Ope, you had me at davenport 🤣🤣🤣 I haven't even watched the rest 🤣🤣🤣 maybe in a minute, when I can breathe again 🤣🤣🤣
The mom trying to set her up with the frat boy next door and the dad just trying to get out of there is too relatable. And the dad trying to act all detached and then breaking down on the drive home my mom told me that after dropping me off at my freshman dorm, my dad literally had a teary-eyed conversation with her about how I was all grown up and I was just like "... wut"
Oh man, dropping off the kid to college. You never forget that moment. Especially if they never come back (except for visits-come on let's not go there).
That sand to the beach one was just a quality joke lol
OMG I haven’t heard the word Davenport since like the 90s and my old Polish dad used to say it all the time referring to our sectional couch. You just made my day!
This was hilarious my dad sort said something similar about staying away from the boys on campus. I was happy to have my mom help me decorate my room, i was not happy when my dad walked the halls introducing himself he actually met several other fathers there that day but it was a little embarrassing......
Always outstanding! Keep 'er movin'!!!!
In my first off campus apartment I had a nightstand made from a cardboard box. Yup, my Dad was from Manitowoc.
I'm from Southern Virginia, went to school in NC - I was living large when I upgraded from a cardboard box to a milk crate.
looking forward to next video on this trio......this was excellent.
Had a good laugh at the end there. Great stuff Chuck!
"You just gotta slide into his MDs" 😂
I’m going to Minnesota-Duluth in the fall and coming from southern Illinois and seeing the parents up in Duluth with their kids from the few times I’ve had to go to campus for college stuff this is so accurate lol
"I miss Tabitha", priceless!
Well done... just moved my son and daughter in for their sophomore years.... lots of laughter watching this and even more when I emailed them the link...
I literally laughed out loud at the ending ... that is fantastic!!!
One of your best right here, great start to the morning!
This was gold! I woke up my kids laughing this morning! 😂😂
You definitely need to have Bridget aka Tabitha help you with more sketches. This one was on point.
@Stephen Ellis. Right after she's had her therapy from that hot car trip 😄 And wasn't she cool as a cucumber reverse blackmailing her Dad about his "shingles work".
Perfect comedic timing, especially in the edit. Well done.
I think that's the first time I heard Kalamazoo in a joke and it wasn't the joke! You should send the kid to Western Michigan.
That was Bridget's second choice, Tabitha's first
@@CharlieBerens Well. I'm 25 minutes from Kzoo and we appreciate the normalcy. Thank you.
CRACKINGUP!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Love your channel!!!
omg - gold with every line - too too good!
So funny how guys make up projects to drink beers. 😂
0:34 “YOU unload this car right now, or you’re sleeping on the Davenport!” Have NOT heard the word Davenport in years! My grandparents used that word for the couch!!! lol
“Whose Tabitha?” Pure comedy gold 😂😂
The Davenport! Brings back Michigan memories.
It's not Madison without hippie Christmas!
You you gotta do a bloopers vid for this
What great parents. 🥰
Best laugh I’ve had this month!
Kalamazoo, MI, good pick!❤
Your stuff is gold.
Thank you for saying Davenport 😊
Literally just had to experience this a week ago
Excited to see your comedy show on the 10th though!
You should totally make a 30 min show.
Would watch 15/10
Charlie is a legend.
I love this channel so much! I'm from Michigan but live in the Washington DC area now and love these shorts
Not sleeping on the davenport! 😂😂😂 Single most Midwestern thing I've ever heard in a video. 💜
Just the Pure Michigan truth. Same at Western Michigan University.
can confirm
also fuck the chips
and Go Broncos!
This is awesome 🤣🤣🤣
“ Who brings sand to the beach?”
I’m literally moving my kid tomorrow, thanks for letting me know what to watch for 😂
His best video to date!
NEVER put a name that isn’t yours on a fake ID. If you’re caught by the police they can charge you for impersonation/ identity theft way steeper penalties than just having the “wrong” date on your fake.
This one is perfect!
Ah jeesh, this was hilarious! Genuine LOL here.
This is GOLDEN!
That was truly hilarious 🤣
Best one yet!
omfg charlie i love you
Great job, Bridget!!! 😁👍👋
Funniest part, "I'm gonna miss Tabitha"
Needed some Busch to really round out the experience
This and backing up a boat have to be your best yet.
