I can remember being pregnant with our 3rd one (complete with hyperemesis, which I enjoyed with each pregnancy, so literally barfing every day for the whole 9 months), and looking after our 2 other kids, plus the house, and my husband came down with the flu. He required that I wait on him hand and foot because he was "dying". That was about 48 hours so not too bad. When I was sick though? Mr Sympathy: "Wow, you are ALWAYS sick. You should look after your health better.". I'm not sure why I haven't strangled him yet. (The 3rd baby was born 25 years ago. He's still the same sympathetic guy he was then.....his response to my daily vomitting was "Can you stop making that noise? I can't eat.")
Currently pregnant with our fourth, taking care of 3 sick kids (they have been sick for weeks now, thank you kindergarten) and now I've finally succumbed. Daddy fell sick last week and got 3 days off work 😑
I am a man , I don't catch colds , never had the flu, never been vaccinated for COVID , never will, I DO BLEED DAILY, it happens every time I slice flesh with knives, even law enforcement can't stop me,
Husband here: There's literally NO pain like man fever. Absolutely indescribable. Thank you for the bravery of all the men out there battling this cold & flu season.
My husband thought he'd beaten covid in 2 days and went out to do lots of yard work. Ended up back in bed for a week while the rest of us were over it days earlier. Typical.
OMG my husband tried to get on the Bowflex max trainer on day 3 and swore it was the key to getting better. Then he was out of commission the rest of the week, while I took care of the kids (who were positive with no symptoms, fighting and destroying the house all day), dogs and rest of the house, oh and during my birthday also.
Heidi does the most PERFECT impression of Tyler, so nuanced and completely spot on. I almost thought it was him a couple time lol same exact mannerisms Great acting Heidi!!! 👏👏👏
I’m married to a pretty amazing man. He pushes through the whole time, working from home so he doesn’t get coworkers sick (his job is flexible). If he does actually spend a day in bed I know it’s really serious. Although, I wish he would let me take care of him more, he says I already do enough for him and the kids and he doesn’t want to put one more thing on my plate. He will also offer to work from home and take care of the kids if I’m feeling sick. Like I said, he’s amazing!😊
I was trying to contain myself but finally lost it with the salt grinder 😂🤣😂 we’ve been married for 25 years and this video couldn’t be more accurate…..especially the talking with his mother. To all the wives and significant others out there it strikes a cord 🤭
I was recovering from hernia surgery. At the same time, my husband got sick. He whined that his sore throat pain at the time was worse than surgery pain. It was the WORST sore throat ever, according to him. We have not let him live that one down. :)
Is been a long time since my hernia operation but I think I'd seriously consider taking that over a seriously bad sore throat. Of course, maybe I'm blinded by the rose-tinted glasses of memory...
For reals! When my kids are sick, my husband has absolutely no patience for them, but when he gets sick he expects all the sympathy in the world…and still has no patience for the kids.

Almost three Decembers ago, the hubby and I both got sick. He did have fevers with his and I didn’t, but I was 38 weeks pregnant taking care of him. And he did think he was dying. 😂
Omg I've been there. Pregnant and so sick with a super bad cough and forced to sleep on the couch so I wouldn't wake the hubby. This is almost like my husband, except he continues to say he's not sick when he clearly is. He'll follow it with a shot of vodka, says that'll cure it (it doesn't), then says he just needs to nap for a few minutes (hours go by), and continues to push through it, usually chugging a few beers along with the occasional tea (that'll counter the beers) while he does some chores out in the garage. He never gets sick. He was never sick.....sure.
My husband is ex military so he never complains about being sick. However, the stages could be denial, more denial, coughing and sneezing everywhere and then more denial, admitting sickness and crashing and all better the next day. Loved the phone order.

So true! My husband rushed recovery after an…emergency appendectomy. 13 days in the hospital, told to wait 4-6 weeks before returning to work (school band director). He waited 2 weeks, went back to work (marching band season, hot September), was standing in the middle of the practice field and realized, “Hey, I feel light-headed.” 🤦🏻♀️ The kids even noticed he wasn’t all right. The other band directors told him they hadn’t expected him back for at least another month, but, noooooo, “gotta push through it!” Addendum: this was the same man who started his first teaching job in January (1996). We got married in February on a Saturday and I had to force him to take Monday off because his job was in another state; he was going to marry me then dump me in a new town/state nearly 350 miles away without at least showing me around first. He refused to go on a honeymoon because he was afraid they’d fire him. The school faculty had a small get together for us and the principle said…I didn’t expect you back for at least a week. 27 years later I’m still waiting in that honeymoon.
Omg this is SO true! My husband is insufferable when he's sick 😂 Side note: Heidi, I commend your ability to get down on the floor pregnant! I could barely bend down, let alone lay on the floor while I was pregnant 😂

Guy type 1: Dying from a man cold Guy type 2: Guts are literally hanging out of his abdomen and insists he is fine. Guy type 3: Can take of himself and seeks medical care when appropriately needed and listens to their doctor. Unfortunately type 3 guy does not exist.

I always hear about this "man flu" but it must be one of those urban things. The only times I remember my dad being unable to work involved ambulance rides, emergency rooms and broken bones.
I got sick two Saturdays ago. Husband was man down the following Thursday. I'm completely recovered but he's still hanging on by a thread... Death may come soon.
My husband is the same way. But he can take cold& flu medicine I cannot, I use to but not anymore, it cancel out my pills. Then he want my chicken soup only, homemade along with homemade egg noodles, fights me about not wanting to drink the hot tea, the ginger-ale, taking a tablespoon of honey or the oyster crackers, if we don't have saltines or if we don't have either the he gets upset about having to eat dry toast and the late step, me telling him that the vaper rub won't kill him. What really get me mad is I do all this for him and he can be better in 3 to 4 days. When I get sick, it sticks around for a month or more, I have to do everything for myself plus the house work.
I'm new here and yes that is so true. I have been sick in bed and my kids have been take care of me when my husband is at work. He hardly ever gets sick.

I love when Heidi impersonates Taylor because she's so good at it
Heidi….I am offended by the accuracy of this 😂😂😂
I got sick two Saturdays ago.
