Quanetin Valenbois is an #XR Developer, Teacher, Content Creator and CEO at Valem Studio. He has been working professionally in #VR since 2017 he soon realized there was a lack of quality content developers people could rely on. This is why he decided to create not one but two channels to inspire and educate developers to get started and master XR #development … until AI came. That’s the moment he decided to answer a question many devs are asking right now: Can AI take over my job?
    Today we will learn:
    - Surprising ways in which #AI was capable of correcting its own mistake
    - What kind of knowledge do you need to follow AI’s instructions
    - Why, despite the tremendous similarity of the final product with game, it is better for you as a developer to learn as a human

It's been a boon to my productivity. It has sped up things I could have coded myself, but why do that when it can generate it correctly (in one to three shots), understandably, and maybe even with a feature or two I didn't think about. It also saves me from time sucking documentation lookups just to find package method names or signatures. I also really love using it to paste something that I wrote and ask it for a critique that highlights any pitfalls I may have missed. Keep in mind that unless you ask it to be critical, it generally just agrees that what you're asking for is a great idea even if a totally different approach or a built in system can achieve your actual goals much better.

Something important to this discussion I've realized about myself is that the moment I realize that a piece of content (vocals, textures, 3d models, or narrative text) is AI generated, I devalue it. It's not entirely a conscious decision, but it happens to me that when I realize something is AI crafted and not human crafted, it is instantly worth less of my admiration/interest. If instead I know that a human was very selective in using generative tools as part of a larger human directed and artfully human crafted process, it retains its value to me. I wonder if this is a common experience for fellow developers or even non-developers.
