This video highlights the advantages of a Free Fall post driver which is chain driven over the standard ram and rope machine.
This Post driver uses a hydraulic motor and chain to lift the weight to the top of the mast where the weight trips and free falls down due to gravity.

How do you feather a post in when working in soft ground, or getting posts to proper grade?
