It's actually rare, it only happens if you post a whole episode without any editing to make it worse viewable (such as 60FPS). Perhaps, you would only get demonization like this video (probably).
I remember watching these anime on bootleg tapes in the early 2000s and expecting new anime to be similar. I’m not an elitist, I watched stuff like Code Geass and Death Note, but I still was disappointed that there wasn’t stuff as good as Palatbor 2 or Akira.

There are anime series not all them the quality is acceptable other are in great. It was until I watched it again recently I realized what it meant, damn wasn't that deep... and now I appreciate the music even more.

I few years back I purchased the complete tv series on dvd (separately). But it’s been really hard to find the movies at a decent price. The dvd of patlabor 2 is $40, the blu-ray more than double that. The movies are so good, wish they were more readily available 😭
Good news everyone! I went on eBay and was able to find a blu-ray copy NEW that includes Patlabor 1 and 2 for like $75. Which I think is fair for two masterpieces; also the presentation of the box it came in is really nice, straight from Japan.
