- After Kim Kardashian posted a photo of an impressive landscape painting created by her daughter North, people had their doubts. Now Kardashian is defending her daughter. “Don’t play with me when it comes to my children!!!” she wrote. “North worked incredibly hard on her painting, which took several weeks to complete." The naysayers compared North's painting to landscapes created by famed TV art instructor Bob Ross. Sandra Evans, an art teacher who specializes in the Bob Ross technique, believes that North painted it. #InsideEdition
Bob Ross probably would not appreciate someone being mean to someone- especially to a *child* over their artwork.

As an artist, a 7 year old taking WEEKS to make a painting is completely plausible. I was making art as a 7 year old. If she’s even remotely artistic, she’s totally able to make something like that. And, like the art instructor said, anyone can make anything with the right guidance
Exactly. I'm an artist as well and one of my friend's daughter is doing paintings like this by watching videos on the internet. When I was her age I was busy drawing Bratz. Kids have more access to great teachers both in person and online. People just enjoy putting down others these. And a child? That's a new low.

I don’t think most people realize this but you DON’T have to be an adult or professional to be able to draw realistically, it just takes practice, investment, and time.
Just the fact that people bash at little kid’s talents because they refuse to believe they did it themselves, since they’re young, and it is just very disrespectful. If you’re jealous of what this kid can do as a KID then there’s no way you’re gonna be ready for what they’re gonna do as an adult.

It doesn’t take a ton of experience, skill or even creativity to paint Ross-style. It’s a specific technique that is not artistic at all and it only works for specific types of landscapes. Kid is smart and logical and she paid attention to the technique and did a painting that looks great from a distance. She is not a child genius, but she is certainly an amazing student. I expect she learned to read and write fairly as well. Good for her!

Finished paintings always looked like they would take so much time to paint because of small details, then you see how the technique allows you to finish a painting like that under 1 hour

It's a basic landscape using brush techniques to paint all the objects. It's not advanced painting. I mean look at Akiane Kramarik who was eight and did that famous Jesus painting. A big difference from knowing how to do a brush swipe to make bushes.

I believe her, I used to watch painting shows with my grandma before school from the age of 4 untill i was 9 - I specifically remember watching this old dude paint flowers and he did this technique where he dipped different colours on either side of a flat paintbrush to create gradients for one-stroke petals and it just so happened that we had art class that day, needless to say the teacher was astounded that a 5 year old could pick that up
I miss watching Bob Ross. He is the reason I got interested in painting when I was young. Although I did not pursue it as I was growing up, (painting materials were expensive back then) I am starting to get back to it, as it helps me with my anxiety and panic attacks.

I went to art class with mixed ages, I've seen alot of kids younger than me( fourteen and below) that have painted still lifes, landscapes and even portraits at some point. You dont have to be as old as Bob Ross to become someone like him.
I believe it this seems like an easy technique for kids to follow.

Me, an artist, does too believe that her daughter can do that and will probably do even greater things if she continues to practice and continue.
Sometimes it does take weeks to make a great painting and u can tell this had to have taken her many because of how detailed it is. It's Gorgeous👍👍👍👍

She DID paint it. Kim would have no reason to lie, and as someone who has painted from a young age this sort of landscape isn’t hard to do when you have an instructor guiding you through the whole process.
