They said they wouldn't do this, they did it, now I refuse to buy 3.0. My 2.0 will do. They don't even have a hold Shift modifier to make straight lines yet...
@@TamilVolk I guess you can get similar result with just post-correction setting crammed up to 100 whenever you wanna do straight lines with pressure sensitivity
Yes they do, it just works differently. Tap pen on canvas, hold shift, move pen to end point and tap on canvas with pen again. It's been a thing since 1.0
They gave EVERYONE enough time to purchase CSP "2.0 before" the march version 3.0 came out. Downloadable for FREE. GOD , can't you people please stop your nancesent whining
I rather have a perpetual yearly thing than one subscription as there's no point in upgrading to 2.0 or beyond. If I want pigment mixing, Rebelle that is a non-subscription does exactly that.
you know that the annual pass makes no sense when they take literally a year to give a new update. SO you are basically paying 30 dollars for one update and you dont even ge tto keep it .
At least they made it real easy to choose the upgrade... before i was purchasing the next version full price and that was ridiculous. i was upset a bit but really wanted it so i didnt care. but i definitely did not want to pay full price a third time so i was glad they made it so easy to see the option for a discounted version. As long as we get the discount for newer versions... its not so bad.
I don't see the real problem. price too high for monthly sub ? You get the perpetual license and for sale it is super cheap 21 buck for pro. the real problem would be if they scrapped the perpetual license
It depends for people. If it is on a tablet, then they have to subscribe. Also pay for extra devices. I have 2 computers, so it becomes weird at times for deactivation. It's not horrible pricing for now though, but not great.
Still no crucial changes like multi-layer coloring, history palette replay, speed/usability improvement. High resolution brushes and timeline playback is still extremely slow. Everything 2.0 and on is niche, non-critical updates. The last universally applauded update was the timelapse feature back in 1.0. The software has no direction or focus (comic editing, animation, painting) which hurts all 3 activities.
I think it's cool that they at least are adding some random stuff. Most companies do not even try anymore. For example after effects hasn't gotten a single big update in 10 years lol. Some things are improved, but nothing major. Most companies are going this route now.
I will not pay full price for this. I got the update pass because they could have easily made this a Winter Feature Update. Not a full version update. I will be sticking with my 1.0 perpetual till they kill it off. Probably next year with 4.0.. 😭
I actually went out and bought a physical copy of v1 after upgrading to v2 to get my license for v1 back because it's better in some ways. With v1 you can use versions that don't deactivate themselves over time! Who would have guessed there are people who like to keep their art and work computers off the internet... They also changed the brush system a lot, so a ton of my early v1 brushes actually stop working above version v1.6. I also overall like the UI feel of older v1 better than newer versions. Now given I still have v2 and v3 for animation because v1 animation tools are... painful compared to v2 and 3. So IMO for art v1 is best. For Animation v3 is best. So I keep upgrading my EX license and I hold on to my 2 copies of v1 pro for art.

I honestly miss the PS shift function. CSP has it, but there is no pressure sensitivity :(

Don't worry, we will have 4.0 a year later and need to buy it again. Kind like a DLC every year. And I don't like where it is heading.
Exactly.. I saw the price for the perpetual 3.0, not worth it when 4.0 is next year. I'll just use update pass till my 1.0 perpetual is killed off. 😂
Probably. Thankfully, so far they are not dropping updated of the old version.

They released the 4.0 , if you updated it to 3.0 they will give you the 4.0 free 💀💀💀

Yeah. I agree. I don’t understand why get the annual pass.

Yeah. Sometimes upgrading is more confusing than it should be.

Wait i'm using the orignal clip studio still so in order to upgrade to 3.0 I should saveup for the perpetual license when it goes on sale?
You could save up yes.
@@TamilVolk any idea on when will be the next sale?

All this could have fit in a Winter Feature Update. It's not worth full price for EX perpetual 3.0 😂 freaking outrageous.
How long was it on sale? I just saw V3 was released today and it looks like the sale is already gone...
I am not sure how long, but it always comes back(?) it’s usually twice a year I think.
@@TamilVolkany idea on when will be the next sale? Or when these two sale happens?
Why is the ex version more expensive than the pro version 😅??
Should i switch to ex instead of pro😢?? What is the best
Expensive one is for animation
Ex is basically pro but with plus animation addition might aswell buy ex since it 2 in 1

Honestly version 1 is good enough if you just doing illustration. It has good features.

What does ex mean?
There are 2 versions. Pro and Ex. Most functions are the same, but one is for animation.
