- Tutorial on how to remove and replace the battery on the Logitech G533 Gaming Headset. Also how to remove the earpads.
I've been using this headset for about 10 months or so. Before that I had the G35s. The G533 is definitely my favorite though. One thing I don't understand is why they did not make the headband replaceable. Other than that, I really like how comfortable they feel and how I don't sweat with them on.
okay didnt know how easy it was to replace the battery...instantly ordered one! What a relieve to be finally able to properly use my headset soon again
Great job with this tutorial! Simple, slow and to the point! Thanks man!
Thank you for the video! Well explained. But you should tell the stats on the battery too. I think that would be helpful for many :)
You're welcomed. Thanks for you input.
I just wanted to wash my earpads and wanted to know how to get em off, thanks for the vid.
Thank you bro . Its so helpful for me.
You Bet. Thanks for watching.
thanks for this video. I didnt even know the battery was replaceable. I use this all day for work so I'm glad I will be able to greatly extend the life of my headset
For those of you whom this does not work:
The name of the plug is a JST 3PIN. It probably doesn't work for you because the order of the cables does not match. With some googling you can find out how to change the order of the wires - you will need a needle or sharp knife, somewhat good vision and some dexterity.
ThatLatinGuy, thanks so much for making this video. I was able to open up the battery compartment to access my S/N!
No problem, happy to help.
Thank you very much, since months I couldnt power my G533 Headphones because it always showed 100 percent when I had it for 1 second on the charger. So it would always power off after like 30 seconds now I dis- and connected the battery and now it works fine.
lol, I have this headphone for almost 4 years and never noticed this... thx for sharing
THANK YOU! Saved a new pair of headphones.. was about to give up until i saw your vid
Even with no sound the instruction was good
AWESOME! Glad I could help.
Did you use the same battery or used any with more mha? thanks. These feel way more comfortable than the 935. At least for my head / glasses.
this was helpful, thank you
Thank you for the video! I never realized it's that easy to replace the battery. =D
Hello, , my headset g533 dont work with out the charging , dont work anymore wireless and in software the battery look 97 or 98% . my battery is broken , i need to replace it ?
or i can fix the problem ? i tried so far everything with the update the usb or the unistall the driver logitech and so more . and nothing fix .
If you know something pls help me.
I love this headset and i dont want this so . Ty and sorry for your time .
If you’re in warranty, I’d say contact Logitech to have it checked out, since you already tried everything else. Otherwise, you can try replacing the battery which is cheaper. But, go the warranty route first if you can.
Thanks, the video was really helpful :)
this headset build is so solid that i tough the earpads was fixed
When I plug mine in they keep disconnecting and the light just flashes orange. Not sure if you know what the problem is?
Oh, on the PC right? Yeah, that’s happened to me. I generally just plug it in one of my USB 3.0 ports when the PC is off or to the wall outlet. Here’s something I found on the net:
www.reddit.com/r/LogitechG/comments/abhozw/g533_disconnecting_and_reconnecting_noise_when/
Not sure if it’ll help you. But worth a tryI guess.
what screws is it to open up the headphones?
Thanks for the video man! I've had mines for about 2 years and i have never had an issue with the until my foam cover was gone when i woke up in my Chair :P
Thanks for showing how to put it back on place :D
Anton Hall No Problem! 🙏 for watching.
Will the battery dying make my mic stop working? it's my second g533 and its the second time ive had the exact same microphone issue
This happens often. I usually turn it off and back on and that solves the problem. I assume it’s wireless interference or not set as default device on your PC. I’ve had mine’s for a while, maybe 3 yrs. haven’t had battery issues yet.
There’s a program that shows you the battery life and allows you to customize games, sound etc.

Not sure if you have it installed. But there’s the link.
@@thatlatinguy9039 Doesn't appear to be the battery, it seems to be the wiring for the mic arm, if I tap on the left headset earpiece every now and then it pics up my microphone but otherwise it won't pick up anything, tried uninstalling gaming software/g hub and using different receiver ports
Daniel Who dude did you solve your mic problem? My Mic just stopped working and idk what to do.. i can’t even replace it
@@akagefps i didn't, you should have a 2 year warratny and need to send iit back to supplier
@@akagefps I know this thread is pretty old. But jus in case anyone is wondering my mic also just gave out. I uninstalled and reinstalled software, drivers, hard reset on mic itself. But NADA! Seems to be a common problem according the interwebs.
Apparently all that moving the mic up and down messes up the wiring. It did last me a while and still works, except for the most important thing which is the mic.
I decided to give Logitech another try and went for the G733. But I'll miss the G button on these. I used it to skip tracks on my music.
Thank you very much mate.
Thank you very much for the video. But my phone burned the charging circuit, but it turns on and works normally. Is it possible to charge the battery manually without the risk of exploding?
Nice video! I have a question. Are earpads of G533 the same with the ones of G930?
Not sure. But looking at them, it doesn’t seem like it.
thank you so much.
You’re Welcomed!
This was helpful, thanks!
thank's for the video :) it's easy to replace the battery ^^ i don't need to replace it yet, but i think by the end of the year.
I most often have the sound between 15 and 30% and I do not have the impression of having about 15-16 hours of autonomy as indicated on the technical sheet. (~ 16h and 50% power sound). i think i have 15h but average 20% power sound.....
I'm curious to know how much it will hold with a new 1200Mah battery instead of the original 1100.
Great tutorial, helped alot, thanks!
my microphone doesn't work anymore I don't know how to fix it. Do you know how to fix it?
Hey dude did you solve your mic problem? My Mic just stopped working too.. Hope you fixed it and can help me to fix mine too :)
Mine just stopped too smh
if you bought the headset within the last 2 years submit a warranty claim and logitech will send you a replacement headset for free.

Hello i have a problem with this logi. My auricular Logitech g533 si working wrong like if they have interference , sounds like sh sh and don't listening well. And sometime it's turn off and turn on . What is the problem? If You know.. Regards from Argentina, sorry por My inglish
Thanks and God bless you!
Is the battery connector supposed to have 3 full-length pins? In mine the middle pin appears to be missing or broken off, but it's hard to see the pins in this video to compare it to.
It's 3 pins on mine. Just checked.
my left ear works fine, but my right ear has a wiggle contact. It's mostly off but sometimes it gives sound when i shake it or position it around.
I didn't know about that simple opening on the outside, I was using the screw driver before that lol
Hey man, i think this will help you: ua-cam.com/video/nO3zHM6GHkA/v-deo.html
If you cant understand the language, try to translate and watch many times before the fixing proccess. Hope i help you

danke joete uitleg was korrekt

thank you m8
OMG YOU FUCKING SAVED ME YOU'RE A FUCKING GOD THANKS YOU SO MUCH
have you been abusing those headphones? I have had mine two years and they are in perfect condition
I used mines like 8 hours a week. They broke down. The mic went out. It’s a common thing.
Also, the earpads came apart. At least the rubber part.
really nice video bro big up to this guy saved my life lmao
I was hoping there was room for the usb dongle
Unfortunately no...but hey, take solace in knowing that you’ll mostly have this plugged in to your PC unless you travel.
@@thatlatinguy9039 if was bluetooth AND wireless I could switch from pc to my laptop... Like my mx master mouse... But only wireless when u have several pcs... At least they should let me keep my dongle inside...
Recently my mic for the headset stopped working but I can still hear audio. Any fixes?
Me acaba de suceder, lo pudiste solucionar?
Mine don't come off that easily
Do you know why my mic is making a static noise when I’m trying to talk and it won’t let me talk when the mic is on
I don't. But I found this thread on reddit
www.reddit.com/r/LogitechG/comments/ceth93/why_is_my_logitech_g533_headset_is_making_weird/
how long the battery life? 2-3 years?
It's hard to say. But is is a Lithium Ion battery, like the ones found on phones. So, I believe they start deteriorating at the 2+ year mark. I've had these headphones for about 1 1/2 years and it's still fine.
ThatLatinGuy oh thx im hoing yo voy this ir other u recomend me this o the hyperx cloud silver
I don't know dude. This one is pure wireless. The one you mentioned is wired. There is no way to wire the G533. You should check out the reviews and see which one would work better for your needs. This one also has dedicated PC software to go with it. I'm not too familiar with HyperX.
Having owned a leather pair before, I prefer these fabric ones. I think I'd stick with fabric moving forward as they seem to breathe better. That being said though, you could always just clean leather ones, while fabric you'd have to replace.
is it only one battery on left side or it is anthoter baterry in right side pls answer and sry for bad my english
roman govo it’s just that one.
@@thatlatinguy9039 thank you
roman govo You’re welcomed!
has anyone found a good replacement battery and can link it to me?
How long takes to Charge?
can we use the faux leather pads on g pro on the g533?
I really can't give you an answer on that. They appear to look the same, but it's possible they may have different dimensions. I think you're better off asking the people who purchased those particular ones at amazon. Some of those guys have like a 100 headsets. I just have the one.
Nope, they won't fit, the ones on the G pro are slighty smaller
u can replace the headband!!!!!!
When you said you can't remove the headband, i was so disappointed. I have a very bad skin type, which produces so much oil, that within an hour after i wash my head, it's full of this disgusting thing again. The earbuds and the headband of my G533 are literally dripping with oil and they had become so hideous, that i simply didn't want to put it on my head again. I am really happy that at least i can wash the earbuds, but the upper part continues to be soaked in oil and i still don't want to put it on my head. I thought maybe i could wash it as it is, by dipping it into soap water, carefully so the ear pieces don't get any water, but cables are also running through the headband, right? That will be a lesson for me, so next time i buy headphones, the number one criteria is going to be that both the earbuds AND the headband are removable. What are you gonna do with a perfect in quality headset, if you don't even want to use it because it stinks?
DONT BUY THIS HEADSET, I have had mine replaced 3 times and they have all broken, every other headset Ive ever had bar one shitty razer pair has worked perfectly, these are good headsets but last like 6 months not even.
You can buy replacement sets including the headband here:
