He speaks of diversification of our generation mix to cushion climate efffects and attracting investments. Capacity development of not only generation but also the transmission. Tarrif migration to cost reflective pricing would attract investment by providing a fair return on capital.
He adds that regional interconnectors are an alternative that can provide immediate relief through power imports. Hence, the vital role played by regional integration and power pools in providing competition, efficiency, and price discovery in the electricity markets.
