  • In this “Three Minutes Max” video, Bart Van de Wiele shows us an easy way to create quick photo captions in InDesign that don’t “crash” into other text frames. And he doesn’t just assign them spread-by-spread, but across an entire document all at once!
Three Minutes Max comes from a fun-yet very competitive-session at our annual CreativePro Week conference. Speakers have three minutes (max!) to wow the audience with the tip and win a prize for a lucky conference attendee. I’m not quite sure what you mean. Do you have an image that contains all of your layout elements? If so, this won’t work for you. You can manually place text frames where you need them. -EG

@@CreativePro yes. I think your way can work with page is true page (just one color), if i usue texture and color mixing (fake page color) its still work but not match my page

"Just gonna redefine my style" : does some shortcut and doesnt elaborate further.
That tiny bit of lacking information makes the whole tutorial utterly useless for me.
Otherwise a great video that quickly explains how to use and edit captions.

Thanks for the feedback. Please note that this is from a competition at our live events where the presenter has three minutes to present a tip. The tip wasn't how to redefine the style but how to caption all the images in a document. It's understood that the audience either already knows how to redefine a style, or at least now has the proper terminology to search on how to do so. Our online and in-person events have sessions that do deep-dives on topics such as styles, if you'd like to learn more. -EG

@@CreativePro Yeah, you are right, I was a few days away from an Assignment and stressed out of my life. That probably led to me bitching about a small Detail in an otherwise great Tutorial. Sorry about the Comment.
