For anyone who wants to use one of the vect images but it’s premium. Just hold click and save it to photos and than upload to illustrator and go to object image trace make and expand the image than ungroup and save it as a png. U can than use it in indesign and other creative cloud applications.
Wow! 😮 What a fantastic tutorial! Thank you so much. I’m fairly new to InDesign and this has opened up a whole new world of creativity for me. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into making this tutorial, particularly for newbies like me. 😊
Wow did get few cool ideas in a little time thanks, and you went in the fine detail like the different boxes selected ect. Loved the brush kne, definitely going to do that one!!
Hey man, came across your channel by coincidence. A fortunate coincidence. I have a suggestion if you take those. I'm setting up a small business, and I've been wondering about designing a unified set of document templates - internal and public facing documents like letters, emails, reports, etc. I would love to see a professional's take on this.
Hey great work man!! I have a problem copying and pasting from illustrator to indesign. It pastes it in but as an image. Is there any way to fix that? Thanks!
@@lyh_studio it was rather strange. i mean from the same ai file i took one of the brushes, copy and pasted it in InDesign and it was like an image (photo), i took one more simplified from the same ai file, i copied and pasted it in InDesign and it was vector. I couldn't figure it out.
The brush stroke pattern approach doesn't work with 8 of 10 brush vectors I downloaded. InDesign just places the stroke as embedded EPS without a path.
Im using indesign 2.0 for years. recently i had to reinstall it and now i cant drag and drop pictures from desktop - its infuriating! i get a circle with a bar symbol and i dont know what to do to fix it. anyone have any ideas?
Sorry brother my bad it's very good and it's working properly because sometimes it's coming errors but now it's great sorry ❤ and plz make this great design video
@@RecklessDriving123 It depends on what you're working with - Illustration or a Photo. You'd need Adobe Illustrator, and you'd need to do an image trace unless it's an illustration and you're handy with the pen tool and can redraw over the top yourself (i.e. manual tracing, which might give better results depending on the file type)
i like tutorials that show more visuals, annotations, and captions rather than talking heads that talk a lot and talk very fast. its confusing and takes a lot of your time
Cool! Can’t wait to incorporate these tips into my next project!
as a layout journalist, this helps me a lot

Very cool - i particularly like and will use, the "brush mask' techinique!
I really looove this. It looks complicated but it's easier than I thought! Thanks for helping out newbie designers like me
Keep this going...Excellent tutorials!
Nice job, very clear with effective examples.

This is a great and easy tutorial to follow. How do you make the texts go around the deer picture and the man??
Great question, it's called Text Wrap and I go over it in this video - ua-cam.com/video/5Z3ZQmFM9LM/v-deo.html

Right?! And ppl don't rly use most of it :(

I didn't realize that InDesign has a primitive autotrace feature. That's pretty handy!
Yup! Just be careful when using it - it's not suuper precise
Love this tutorial 😍
Привет.

I love your content. You are an amazing! But a question, can I use Vector for commercial design? not selling.
It's different for different assets, it'd be good to go over the licensing type before downloading vectors :)
U r the 🐐
Thanks alot ❤
Thank you
This is more of an enrichment, working on a brochure and such ideas are just kicking in with a lot of creativity ideas... Thanks so much.
Glad it was helpful!

Thanks man, means a lot

omg free grad speech shoutout?

when i use the drop shadow tool, the shadow gets on top of my image
how can i fix this please ?
You can move the slider for where the drop shadow goes, usually it looks like a circle with a diagonal line in it
Cool yes you are the masterpiece dude 🤙🏼✨✨🍀
Thank you for the kind words!
Nice idea! thank youuuu. How did you create the text not overlapping on the image?
Looking for the same answer
Hi, can I ask how were you to put your properties on the right side?
Hey! You can actually drag any panel via the little vertical lines at the top of each panel so you can arrange them however you like.
How did you get the text box to wrap around the image
I cover that here! ua-cam.com/video/fosjcGgpKhc/v-deo.html
How did the image merge into the brush stroke
You just have to drag it in! (If I understood your question correctly)

Dis you download an EPS file? When you open it in illustrator is it a vector or raster file?

MY INDESIGN NOT SHOWING SYMULTANEOUS CHANGE AS I CLICK FILTER OR ANY ...IF INLY VISIBLE WHEN I CLICK OK OR APPLY WHAT SHOULD I DO
Sorry Prashant, I don't think I'm understanding your question, your InDesign doesn't show changes live?

Try copying it over from illustrator!

I can NOT get the first example to work, no matter what I do. I know it’s me - I’m taking a step back now before I throw my MacBook out the window!
Worked it out in the end - it was the files types I was using.
Glad you figured it out, do you mind elaborating? Could be helpful for other people as well!
@@lyh_studio Sure, I was trying to achieve this with .SVG files and could not make it work. When I used .AI files it worked right away.
@@danielleshelbourne220 how can you make a picture from google an .AI file then?
