These retailed for $499. They were on sale periodically for $350. The lowest I ever saw them for anywhere was $249 and that was when they were clearing stock. I have a pair at home and a pair at my office.

@@randallmilton And how much did Zeos say he purchased them for? They were $199 when he bought them too. I would never have compared them to Fluance Ai40s if they were even $300 at the time I added them. I've never seen these as high as $499 either. The R51PM are that price...not these.

Pando you are correct they did get down to $199 for a short time. I just checked my receipts. These were $499 retail originally though. In fact crutchfield still has them at $499. I agree with zeos on the new ones not looking as great-looking forward to giving them a listen though.

I just got a pair of these along with a Klipsch R10-SW, for a pair of little speakers, these are okay. They do have a little directionality, but they also have greater vocal definition than a small direct radiator, soft dome stuff. My bedroom is 10 x 10 x 12 (high ceilings) and the R-15PM's along with the subwoofer provide enough output to make even really "sound intensive( read lots of digital manipulation of audio dynamics)" pretty good.
Currently, I own Klipsch Heresy II's and Klipsch Chorus II's, the R-15PM is not in that league, or in the same ballpark. These are not KPT speakers in costume, they are nice little speakers. Totally worth it when you throw in a sub.

I have two pairs of these and love them, as well as several other Klipsch including up to the RF7 III Towers and center. Klipsch has been excellent for years but everyone that ever reviews them or comments on them never fail to complain about their reputation of harsh sound which were only the reference line from the box store speakers of long ago.

I own a pair of these and I thought the low end wasnt good enough for me so I paired them with the Emotiva BassX Sub 8. Sounds great. i also bought them for $341 in 2017. I think they have great mids and highs. To prevent the low end from the speakers to interfere much with the sub I have sealed the ports. Sounds a little better.

I've had these for 2 years. They were going for $424 on Amazon but I got it for $300 since my friend works at Bestbuy. Paired them with a BIC F12 subwoofer just cause. College kid trying to learn hifi audio
They definitely impress anyone I show them too. Loud enough for a house party, but also fit on my desk. They look clean and is easy for beginners to use. Saved me money on a preamp for my pioneer pl 514 turntable. There is a white noise sounding buzz at closer than 1 meter. I put mine on either side of 27" dual monitors so it's far enough to never bother me. Sounds wonderful for the price just like in the review. Would recommend these puppies

I have these, I love these.
Connectivity is amazing, they sound awesome for the money, more so with a subwoofer (shame you can't cut them off at 80Hz and let the sub do the bottom end). You should get the Klipsch R-10SW or Jamo S808 or 810 if you want serious impact for movies games or extended bass for music.
The phono preamp is a little meh, but still. Worth getting instead of a soundbar if you also have a turntable and like to play stuff through its aptX Bluetooth connection. Just on the edge of making sense, if you wanna minimize your setup.

I was spamming z comments two years ago for him to review this pair. he never did so i went and just bought them. i paid $399.00 and i dont regret any single dollar. im not an audiophile but i do like my music to be loud, i pair it with a 12 inch klipsch sub and its perfect for my living room. the only complaint i have is the remote control. i have big hands and its kind of hard for me to control it. i would like a regular size control. also the batteries i have to switch batteries twice a year.

I use the KEF LSX as my PC speaker through the Optical cable and with the plethora of wireless streaming options and the fantastic sound they truly stand out.

They're over a thousand Pacific Pesos here in the land downunder, and that puts them in direct competition with speakers that get a whole lot more coverage from the usual suspects. Doesnt make them a 'bad' choice, but expectations go up correspondingly when Elac and others are releasing such affordable bookshelf speakers.

Ha, I just made a comment on how Z should try to switch it up and do other speakers, possibly more expensive stuff. I know, speakers are expensive and some even hard to find even if you have the money not to mention pumping out video reviews in itself is taxing. I love watching Z's reviews but I would never shed another tear if I never watched another Klipsch or budget bookshelf speaker video for the rest of my life! lol. How about those huge Cerwin-Vega's with the dual 15's? Maybe not true hi-fi, but they sure would be fun and different! Or what about the new B&W 603? Dynaudio? Legacy? Focal? Need some more variety for sure. ;) If anyone lives near Z, why not offer to loan him some speakers to review? I might be willing to hand over my B&W804S to him so I can hear his take on them! hehe ;)

I own these in standard black, for bedroom use with a U-Turn Orbit and paired with a matching Klipsch 8-inch sub. Great sound, easy to setup with all the cables you needed. I didn’t like the cheap and chintzy-feeling remote and the black textured vinyl isn’t very durable. Paid $200 open box from Best Buy in May of last year and at the time it sold at retail for $499 like the (less attractive-looking) R-51PM that replaced it. Looking forward to the review of the RP-600M.

Christopher Craft I stand by my comment. Don’t you run them that way because that’s what you prefer? There is no golden rule. I’d recommend set at 80hz and adjust to your liking from there. My towers play down to 26hz and I crossover at 50hz . At 60hz it’s a few dB to loud. At 50hz they roll off perfectly.
If you are looking for a perfect roll off you will need some equipment to get you there. Besides , most non audiophiles will not like a perfect flat response, most people want their sound bass heavy.

Buyer's Beware! I went through three sets of these Klipsch R-15PM's before just giving up. My first set completely died after 3 weeks, the second set the USB port went bad after a week (which is how I had them connected to my PC) and the third set I got was making a loud humming noise when nothing was playing (which the first two sets didn't do). quality costs money. Cheaper products are cheaper because:
      1) less quality design

@Z , how do they compare to the Edifier s2000pro, since I can get the Edifiers for 330 USD.

Z was a massive fan of the s2000pros at $500 I doubt he'd favor these with that discount on the edifiers.

    Hey, YO Z!!!!!!!!!!
The KLIPSCH RP150s are NOT MONITORS.
They are passive speakers that need a AMP & A SOURCE. But you knew that right ?

I just accidentally made a full cup of coffee with espresso coffee bean and now I'm pretty sure I have temporary tinnitus at 50hz.

Sounds like you got these for clearance price but Klipsch frequently has the reference line (img driver and aluminum tweeter, same as these) at 30-50% off on their website, at best buy and fry's. But I agree the RP (2015-2018) or new Reference premier series (2018) sound better.

i had the similar r 14pm, looked great and sounded nice, sendt them back for hiss issues. i'm sure you would have said something if these made any noise so i guess these made none in your house. just saying in my house all powered speakers have had this problem and a power amp also. not everyone gets clean power.

Hey guys, could you help me decide what to buy, please? Klipsch R-15PM (500€), or Onkyo A-9010 + Monitor Audio Bronze 2 (603€). It will be connected to a pc, maybe later to a TV. Thank you!
