Starting a Lepacy definitely got me invested in my current save. I grew up with only base game, Ambitions, and Late Night but now I have all the packs and I want to explore as much as I can one by one instead of having everything at once. My sims did get insanely rich though, so I'm considering having my next generation start from rags when they age up to young adults and move worlds.

That’s such a good plan! I went a bit crazy and bought the last two expansions I was missing last year (into the future and showtime) and I’ve still hardly touched them because I’ve still got so much more to dive into with the rest of my packs!! Ooo a totally fresh start in a new world could be fun!! But also, Not Malcolm here on UA-cam has some great videos where he plays with super rich sims if you want some inspo before taking the dive🥰

I'm so excited about Appaloosa Plains and Moonlight Falls when I finally get to Pets and Supernatural. But I'll be in Bridgeport for a while since I don't plan to move for Generations. It's fun to start over in a new world every few gens 😄And I'll have to check them out! I've watched a lot of his shorts but not a lot of his gameplay videos.

I'm looking forward to diving into aspects of packs I haven't played before alongside parts I have touched a bit of with my current Lepacy too. I've actually bent the rules with my founding generation by choosing a couple from a different save I barely started (wasn't a dead save though). I took inspiration from Crystal Legacy challenges created for Sims 4 when considering some loose planning on pack focuses, and am hoping to use the Self-Employment feature from Ambitions a fair amount when trying certain skills. I did see a video/short recently highlighting how many traits the game has and how some of the 'negative' ones often get overlooked when creating sims from scratch. I'm looking forward to seeing them in action as I pair up with NPCs and ofc, it's fun seeing what traits Sims are assigned at birth. Oh, and I plan on utilising worlds I haven't played much in, including Store worlds that are just sitting there waiting to be played in (with EllaCharmed fixes too). So looking forward to expanding worlds as I progress and I've barely dived into how much depth the Base Game has itself (Sims 4 could never, lmao)

Recently I got a new PC and managed to launch TS3, I love this game so much. I decided to limit the content I use at a time, to discover everything slowly. I came up with an idea to add 1 pack (chronological order of release) when I start another generation (and complete the LTW from the previous one). I took different aproach to building the house, I gradually add rooms and connect them together. I got inspired by the game "What remains of Edith Finch", so all sims have a dedicated room or decorations. After the sim's death their room is sealed away. Currently I'm on Ambitions and soon I will add Generations, as the grandkids of my founder sim grow up. I'm having a blast and I love the "house" that is always in progress.
Discovering new things gradually and taking your time is very important in my opinion. Coming back to this game was the best decision I could make. I love TS3 and TS2!

I'm glad to see someone still play TS3. I havent played TS4 in like 2 years TS3 is way less glitchy. I love the Poldark books I've read through them multiple times. Had no idea there was a show.

Yessss!!! I’m with you; I just find sims 3 so much easier to get immersed in ☺️ I’ve never read the books but heard they are good! The show is a BBC one - I’m not sure where you are in the world but you can find it on British Netflix at the moment 🥰

Agreed! Sims 4 is just Loading Screen simulator and I really enjoy going into a Base Game that's got so much playability and depth
