The Cause of Ireland tells the history of the ‘troubles’ in the North of Ireland through the voices of the people who lived through them.
It’s primary concern is to examine divisions within the working class, the causes and effects of these divisions, and to evaluate the various solutions being put forward.
Screened by Channel Four in The Eleventh Hour series after 6 minutes were cut by the IBA.

The two Protestant men in the bar made sense in their arguments against ending the border. But George Seawright, God help us. I suspect that even some Protestants in the North were not that fussed when a permanent stop was put to his blather.
