There isn't much that can be said about Junna, except that she is probably the most entertaining drummer of this generation, and is really, really good. She's is in her 20's now, but looks a bit younger.

Respect to you. I've watched a lot of reactions to her, but only one other drummer admitted that she is better than him. The Dragonforce drummer has reacted to this, and said that it was his favorite cover. Both that she did it so well and how much she enjoyed playing.

I agree on two key points #1 it's a shame she has so few videos with such talent and #2 absolutely! Dragonforce needs to invite her as a guest when they do a show near her home town! And THAT will get her so many band opportunities and really kick off her drumming career!

This is an old video, so I assume you already know Junna was in a band called Trident. A great little band too. Their weight-to-noise ratio is off the charts. Their song "Voltage" is worth checking out.
I remember worrying that the drumming level would fall off when Junna left, but damn if Nagisa didn't hit the ground running. Also a superb beast of a drummer...

DragonForce drummer Gee Anzalone reacted to this video and said it was his favourite drum cover of the song, so the band is at least aware of her existence. Though maybe Gee doesn't want to risk his job security? 😆
The thing about Juna and drummers like her is that, even if you don't necessarily like the music they're covering, their enthusiast is so contagious, you watch them just to see them have fun. Two examples for me personally would be Kalonica Nicx and Domino Santantonio.

Boris, this is one of my favorite reactions to this video. I’ve watched this at least a dozen times over the past few months. Wish you’d go back to her, either with “Ashes of the Dawn” or “Painkiller”
She has pictures on Twitter of her kit fully mic’d with a least a dozen mics on stands that would get the sound we hear on her videos, but would look awful. I’m thinking they recorded and mixed the drums separately from the video. I’ve been mixing and recording hard rock bands since the 90s and there is no way to get those tones with over heads and room mics. They could have hidden triggers on the kick and snare but that’s a lot of effort for the studio tech when she can go at it the next day and perfectly match the recording in one take.
She’s just that good.

If you like Junna, I think you will love Yoyoka. She is a 12 year old drummer and she have been a pro since she was 6. The video of her, that went viral was, her cover of "Good Times, Bad Times". When she was 8 years old. Then ther is her cover of "YYZ" , by Rush, when she was 11 and a few months ago she did a fantastic cover of "Burn" by Deep Purple. At 11 years old she was inducted on Drummers World Top 500 drummers...

She's basically a freelance drummer. She used to be a drummer for a Japanese rock band called Trident.
This girl has more energy than a nuclear reactor. But I was more interested in your technique of playing on the table with a drumstick ... reminded me of those distant times when black metal bands recorded vocals in the bathroom, and drums on pots...good old times.
😂... You're free to not believe but when I was 17 I recorded my first black metal demos using books and pots. I think I still have those shitty songs somewhere

The amount of force she projects defines the force in Newtons force/s. I was so anxious and swear that she was bout to turn into A super saiyan percussion goddess or sumfing.
She is in a new band, I forget the name of the new band but her old band was Girls Rock Band Kakumei which is now know as TRiDENT after JUNNA left.
I recommend Voltage, which was recorded a few months before she left Girl's Rock Band Kakumei.ua-cam.com/video/9k9txMouU34/v-deo.html. That being said, if you like Love Bites, you should watch my favorite hard rock band, Band Maid. They are the best! Great lead vocals and backup vocals, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass guitar and drummer. The lead guitarist writes the music and the vocalists write the lyrics. ANY of their songs are recommended. Live versions are best. From Thrill in 2014 to Warning in 2021, they are awesome!
4:00 Actually the studio recording clip of Gee Anzalone (The Dragonforce Drummer) playing this song shows him with the same number of drums (4 + bass) and the only real difference is he has 1 extra cymbol (a mini hi-hat ... that's not used), and several of his cymbols are larger than hers. So Junna's kit is the SAME SIZE as the one used to RECORD the song.
