Hahaha! It's absolutely great to see the reactions of those who see Junna for the first time. To my humble opinion she definitely belongs to the best female drummers worldwide. And with respect to being deep into the music, her showmanship she is absolutely on top of all (male and female). Of course she is well known in Japan, she has her own one-woman-shows and is being around as a professional drummer some ten years or so. By now, she is in her mid twenties.
Why limit her to only among the best *female* drummers? I don’t think that qualifier is necessary.
She's bad ass but i still think Senri Kawaguchi is the shlt !

JUNNA is awesome. Akane from Band-Maid and JUNNA have been my favorite drummers for years. JUNNA used to be the drummer for Girls Rock Band Kakumei (until 2020) or GRBK for short. Voltage was their last big song before she left the group. She is going to be 26 this year and she only started playing the drums when she was 15. So, when she did this cover I think she was around 21-22 years old. If you want to see her play in a band I would recommend GRBK's Utopia (ua-cam.com/video/P88ZZ-VuXBs/v-deo.html) or Voltage (ua-cam.com/video/9k9txMouU34/v-deo.html). She also did a mini album with different members of female metal bands called Kaminagi Alice Act.3 Nocturnal Symphony (ua-cam.com/video/bx2GcFSL_jU/v-deo.html).
Yeah.. I love following the the reaction videos to her when you see these other drummer rocking right along with her and she is badass, & I haven't heard it yet, but she has such talent in her feet .. take a listen to how she rolls the under beat while she bounces it back and fourth.. pretty cool! If I remember correctly from a Junna interview, she was born on September 26, 1995. She uploaded her Ashes of the Dawn cover the day after her 25th birthday and she is currently 26.

But actually, Junna started to play drums at her 15 and now she's 26. She was drummer in band called Kukumei, now Trident but she left few years ago.. I've been doing sound for many years and was impressed with a few death metal drummers. But Junna is next level. It looks like there are a half dozen takes including one with mics that we don't see. The others are from different camera angles, the fact that every hit is perfectly timed, easy to so with the built in mic on the camera, meaning this dare I say virtuoso drummer is a one take wonder.
That's freaken legendary. I can't think of a better player.
Junna for a short time was part of the band TRiDENT, then, given her exuberance and her tendency to be the center of attention, she left the band and returned to cover, she performs in clubs, gave demonstration of his incredible talent in many covers, there is also another one by DRAGONFORCE, but the performance on the cover of "RISING FORCE" by YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, is a true masterpiece of energy, played in public in one of the clubs where exhibits, if you are careful, at a certain point you notice how much Junna is concentrated in what she does, for a few seconds she stares at the plate in front of her in an incredible way, really crazy!

Junna just about always gets the call when Mitsurun (ex-Bridear shredder) puts together a full band for live performances of her Mada Mitakoto No Nai Sekai project (along with Wakazaemon on bass...one hell of a rhythm section!). That project's material is warpspeed stuff, and Junna nails it. How difficult? Well, the only other drummer ever called in has been Nemophila's drum goddess Tamu Murata. ;)

Btw, until last year, I believe, she was in a band called Girls Rock Band Revolution. After Junna left, they renamed themselves Trident. They still have all their older videos with Junna on drums on their UA-cam channel.
Trident still exists and their latest video is called 'SPOOPY', released on 07/05, and it is damn metal, almost doom, now on drums is Nagisa, and she is another girl who has nothing to envy Junna in talent and strength.
Great drums Junna! Dragonforce is great 👍 maybe only slightly better was the guitar rips, but really made me appreciate them more.

Junna was earlier in the band Girls Rock Band Kakumei, or later TRiDENT after they change name. If you wanna watch more of her incredible feet, check out Voltage. Shes amazing there. Today she do her own shows which is for me a must to go and watch one day.

It's an insult saying she is the best female drummer in the world. Because being female has nothing to do with being one of the best drummers, period. My word, she is simply incredible! I know many adult male drummers, who have no chance in keeping up with her! This isn't even music I listen too! But, she changed that. Neil Peart was always at the top of my list! Would have been incredible for him to hear here and even jam with her! Looks like I added speed metal to my list of insane skills! Hopefully she ends up in a popular band, that can let that diamond sparkle! I can't stop going through her video's! We are damn lucky to be able to enjoy watching and listening to that insane musical talent. Mouth still hanging open! Bad ass!
