My First Time Reaction to JUNNA Through the Fire and Flames by Dragonforce and this might be one of the most crazy things that I have ever reacted to! Everyone knows DragonForce for their amazing guitar solos and fast drum work and for anyone to attempt to cover those is admirable BUT to be able to actually do it FLAWLESSLY this is a first! Junna is always fun. The part where she stood and took a drink was referencing DragonForce's official video where Sam Totman did the same thing while Herman Li did his part of the guitar duet.

I love that bit. I always took it as a tongue-in-cheek poke from a drummer to guitarists, that the guitarists get to rest now and then, but the drummer keeps on going :)

Junna was born in 1997 ( , started playing drums at age 14 in 2011, joined the band Kakumei ( girls rock band kakumei) now Trident ( since 2020) in 2013 ( first single: purest blue , 25 june 2013) at age 16 and left in 2020 at age 23 when she made this video , she's 25 now.
She was the drummer for Trident. They have a few videos to check out. Not much is known about her, but supposedly she is 25 yes old.
She has a bunch of vids. And the drummer from DragonForce did a reaction to this and was very impressed.

She was in a band called "girls rock band kakumei" until she, ehem, "left due to musical differences" (i.e. she wouldn't wind it back). The rest of the band went on to form 'Trident' (a great jrock band btw) with a new drummer Nagisa, just as good but not overshadowing the rest of the band. She is currently in a project with Blue Ichigo Ichinose (bass player on YT) amoungst others.

And while we're talking about crazy drummers, I notice that you only have Nemophila's original songs in your list so far. However, they also have some brilliant covers on their channel. One of them is X-Japan's 'Kurenai'. I can only highly recommend to check out both the original in the 'Last Live' version and Nemo's cover. :) And I'll just say this, X-Japan's drummer, who is also the founder of the band, has often had to wear a neck brace due to neck problems coming from his playing style. The neck brace was also very prominently acknowledged by Babymetal in their early days.

Dam, the look you had when she picked up the water. And I know most recent post tell you the story, but.... SO few reactors get this. And if they are saw official video, it's even sadder they don't get it. That occurs during the solo duel. While waiting for Herman, Sam picks up a beer to drink. Juuna simply mimics it and it's a brilliant twist to her video.

At this point i've seen the original and reactions to it over 100 times and still not tired of it. The level of difficulty is so high and she plays it so perfectly and even adding her own complex touches to it. The showmanship, the fluidity and the drums sound so good themselves. It's like travis barker and a powerpuff girl had a baby. Also, you talked about controlling arms and legs separately.. 2:20 she uses her heel as well. This cover is so amazing that sadly, people are shitting on other drum covers that aren't up to this standard.
she is as talented as most drummers way her senior! I started watching her videos not too long ago and i really enjoy them! Im not a musician but i have found that its quite difficult to use a double base drum set and the fact she is awesome at it just makes for a great video every time! I love the music she picks to play as well!!!

The first time I saw Junna do this video I had to watch it twice because,,, the way you explained what you felt and thought was exactly what was going through my head the first time, but I couldn't explain it, not even to myself, but you just did it. I had to lay down and pull my head together too. AND I really love the way you explained what it takes to be a drummer, with the left foot doing one thing and the right foot doing the opposite, AND THEN SWITCH "when you figure out how to do that, then come talk to me", that was perfect. Most other reactors don't really understand music that well and just say "oh, that was good" (like as if that's what they're supposed to say), but YOU just hit the freakin nail right on the freakin head. 'THANK YOU'.

Junna was actually in the Band BEFORE they changed their name to Trident (when they were still Good IMO) When She was with them they were called "Girls Rock Band Kakumei(Revolution)"

Junna is on another level of drumming and she is literally,little Japanese powerhouse with pigtails. She started to play drums at her 15 and now she's 26. She was cofounder of Girls Rock Band Kukumei, now Trident but she left few years ago... Junna is just a beast. Power, stamina.. I just love that girl. ❤️
She was one of the founding members the band Girls Rock Band Kakumei. She left in 2020 and the other two members renamed the band to TRiDENT and got a new drummer. But their older videos with Junna are on their channel. TRiDENT with the new drummer are worth checking out too.
I am a 70 year old drummer still touring. It still is not easy to do and I have been doing it for 50 plus years!!

Yes, I can do it, but I played drums as a teenager for a few years. This was ages ago, but maybe some basic abilities are still there.

I just stubled across her video the other day. I'm a drummer myself and when I saw her I was like... I gotta hear this. Through the Fire and Flames are a pretty hard song to get through on any instrument but damn she nailed it. I would have run out of air mid way through.

I have a CD with Junna on drums, Mayto from Hagane on guitar, and others I don't know. It's all in Japanese so I couldn't tell you what it says except it's from an anime.

Junna was in a three piece all female rock/metal band called " Trident " check out the song " Voltage " they are still going but without Junna , not sure why
JUNNA is currently in no band, but she used to be in TRIDENT (a Japanese female three piece w/ guitarist/vocalist, bassist, and drummer). TRIDENT are still making music, but with a new drummer. Not sure what her plans are about forming another band, but if I had a band right now, I would definitely try to get her as the drummer! She freaking rocks! Also, JUNNA is around 26, or so.
You need to check out Voltage by Trident. She was still their drummer at the time.

Nobody ever forgets the first time they saw this. It will go into the UA-cam Time Capsule so humans can marvel at it 1000 years from now. Beyond Epic.
Although Junna isn't currently an official full member of any band, she's the go-to "guest drummer" when ex-Bridear shredder Mitsuru's anisong/metal fusion project Madeseka (full name: Madamitakoto No Nai Sekai) plays with a full lineup. Given Mitsuru's warp speed playing and compositions, Junna is a perfect choice!
The replacement drummer for Junna in Trident (Nagisa) is not a downgrade, either. Another amazing young Japanese drummer...
