Our first trip to Puglia, Italy - Part 2 | Grotta della Poesia | Otranto | Maldives of Salento

- In this second part of our Puglia trip we stayed at a very nice bed and breakfast called Palazzo Morisco and visited the town of Gagliano del Capo, Otranto and Giuliano Di Lecce. The beaches we went to were Spiaggia di Pescoluse with our favorite beach club "Lido Elite" and to the beache of Torre Mozza. Both are part of Maldives of Salento.

Ostuni-Gallipoli-Monopoli-Polignano a Mare-Fasano-Lecce-Brindisi is my favourite triangle in puglia. Beautiful beaches, great food and drinks all provided by people that know how to live very close to heaven, while still connected to their home soil.
Please remember that summer-life there begins "at dusk" and summer-work starts long before dawn.

Otranto is nice i have to go back (remind me Folkestone in UK), so is Gallipoli...not far from only 2 hours drive. Now is winter, is cold but bad 15 and sunny in the day.I did enjoy. Erika your Italian is great!Bravissima e bellissima.

I really like Puglia, even if I do like Calabria more. I live not far from Tropea and it is absolutely wonderful! Definitely worth a stay ;) Great channel though. Looks promising indeed! Subscribed 👍🏻

@@FromLifeUpNorth I spent nearly a month in Melendugno (Apulia) and can’t complain anything about that place. Maybe the water was not as clear as I expected to be, but was fine. I strongly recommend you to consider Calabria as your next holiday trip! It’s such an amazing place, from the very north side (Praia a Mare and San Nicola Arcella/Arcomagno) to the south (Reggio Calabria and Scilla). However I still think that Tropea is the most suggestive at night, especially for couples and tourists. From there you can easily reach Aeolian Islands (by ferry). Thank you and stay safe you both as well! It will be a pleasure to come and meet you of course for a drink, but let’s get rid of that bloody virus first! Greetings :)

We booked and found everything separately. Erika is really good at finding nice places through IG and internet and then we take it from there. We like to book directly to the places we’re going to stay, but search for places trough different sites on the internet. Booking direct (hotel, car rental, flight) often seems to be the best when it comes to service and we often found it to be the cheapest. Many of my friends travle without booking places to stay for their whole vacation, but we like to do that in advance 😉 The places we stay, car rental and flight are the only things we book in advance.
When it comes to places we discovered on this journey, we had some written down as a starting point. We almost never plan for which we end up going to. That comes entirely down to what we want to do each day 😄
