LOVE THIS! Especially seeing how you spend so little on a room for the night! My goal is always to spend the least amount on our room w/o it being sketchy. The best part about traveling in Europe is that you can get amazing rooms for so cheap, especially compared to the US where you often find dirty, old, outdated rooms for $150+ depending on where/when you go (New England coast near where we live for sure)! I don't think that our friends who don't travel the way we do understand how affordable it is. They think we are fancy & extravagant by going to Europe a couple times a year (when there isn't a pandemic) and they don't believe us when we tell them that most of the time our whole trip for 10 days costs less than a week at a beach in Maine or on the Cape in summer and is definitely less than a trip to Disney! I wish hotels here were as affordable as in Europe!!! Watching all these videos is makes me long to travel so so much!!!! Can't wait to get back to Europe soon!!!!
You guys are hilarious. As for the accommodation, I agree with you, it was absolutely perfect. Even fancy, with a big kitchen. I travel the same way; I just need a safe place to sleep, and the cheaper the better. I am never inside anyway. I love your adventures.
Hi, just a tip Salento is not a secret at all, probabily you found it a little empty due the covid, but believe me usually is a famous summer destination, so from the end of july to the beginning of september could be really crowded especially in august, really really crowded, the pro is that have all that coastline you could find your spot but away from the beaches most "IN". About flamingoes you probabily already know but the color becomes less and lesser pink while they feed the babies
Loving your Italia series! Great videos guys! Next time you visit, you should visit the other southern tip of the boot.... Calabria. Thats a truly 'under the radar' place with amazing beaches, history and food. Continue on to Sicily and the Eolian islands after :D

Emma, those roll up ear plugs would be ideal to keep water out of your ear. Do you know the ones? They are typically orange or green and you roll them into a long thin baguette shape (for want of a better word) stick them in and in 30 seconds, they've expanded to completely seal your ear. I reckon they'd be great for you.
Thanks John 👍 yes I usually travel with specific earplugs that I can use to snorkel and swim underwater but unfortunately I didn't have them with me on this trip. Those ones you're talking about would probably work well for splashes etc though, never thought of that. Thanks 😊
