I know you've said before that you have books under your bed, but I assumed you meant they were resting on the floor and I was very unprepared to watch you throw your bed into the ceiling 😂 So many lovely, coordinated spaces in your home ✨
This is when I realize A LOT of my readings have been influenced by you! Girls will be Girls, Sweet Home, Stay With Me, We are All Completely Beside Ourselves, A Spool of Blue Thread, A Room of One's Own, and many more! Thanks for all the great recommendations over the years!
Me and my OCD really enjoyed the colour coordenation of the bookshelves! Really enjoyed the video, as I always do. And you got me when you lifted the bed as I thought the books were tucked under there, not neatly stored (again, my OCD was very pleased!). big hug :)
This shows again, British books just have the prettiest covers and collections.. I find it really hard to find nice editions of books in German and then whenever I go to the ‘English books sections’ I find at least 6 books I want to buy simply because they look sooo pretty. 🤣
Also meant to say, I'm new to your channel so apologies if this video already exists but the favourite books you pointed out during this tour, I'd like to watch a video of you talking about these as they sounded interesting
I love these kinds of videos, getting to see all interesting things people have on their shelves. I did my postgrad at York and I remember the ducks fondly (though I was nearly attacked by a goose once). I love your book collection, it's giving me a lot of ideas for what to pick up next!
Following your recommendation, I now have What I Loved by Siri Hustvedt and am also listening to Small Island on Audible, which I am loving. One of my favourite books ever is under your bed - Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston!
This was wonderful, thank goodness your bed has so much storage! I recently read The Bell Jar and loved it, there are so many books here that I've heard about and read because you talked about them :)
Loved this, mainly because I'm so nosey so really enjoyed all the extra stuff interjected between bookshelves :p Can you please tell me who published your copy of Matilda? I would really love to own a beautiful copy of it
I love a bookshelf tour! And your shelves are arranged so beautifully! I would like to do the same but my only bookshelf in my little flat is starting to overflow! I also went to York and lived in Vanbrugh halls by the lake and got woken up by quacking in the mornings, small world! ☺️ Xx
I love how your books are so decorative! It looks very lovely. Especially the Ali Smith Corner made me a tad sad because I don't have the Seasonal books all in the same Edition, so they look a bit funky (you never know what you get when ordering books from abroad) Wonderful and calming Video, thanks Lauren!
I’m curious about your criteria for keeping books, since don’t have much space to store them, we all know how much of a premium is space nowadays lol. Do you buy only the ones you think you will love and keep? Do you buy regardless and giveaway the ones you didn’t love?
First of all, I know you complained in your vlog about having taken forever on your eyeliner, but damn, it was worth it. 😄 Also, I love bookshelf tours, too, so happy to have gotten the chance to snoop around in your shelves. 😊 Do you regularly cull your collection or do you have a total number of books that you try to stay below in regards to how many you own/keep? I live in a two-bedroom appartment and recently donated around 350 books from my collection because it just got a little too crowded in here. There's still a lot, but oh well, they sure are pretty. 😅
We do do a cull now and again when the bed gets too full! I also try to really think about if I want to keep a book after I’ve read it. If it was just ‘ok’ or worse then it’s straight out the door haha
I have tried to read Early Irish Myths and Sagas but DNF'd it! The myths are extraordinarily strange and repetitive even within individual stories. Women turned into flies, accidental father-daughter incest etc. Wasn't a fun read to say the least.
I say this everytime but I prefer the original Sarah Waters covers, the newer covers that are intended to match her later books are really bland (imo) especially the Fingersmith cover.

The ASMR vibes are strong in this one!
I absolutely adore your videos. They are just so calm and relaxing and never fail to put me in a great mood!
As of now the third part of Pullman's trilogy is soon to be put out on the BBC. i don''t have a date but trailers are appearing on YT.
So glad I found your channel. I can't find many good book channels I enjoy the content of. And who has the same taste 💪
I loved the Neapolitan novels, especially My Brilliant Friend.
I love your decor! How cool that your bed opens up like that for storage! I thought you meant they were under your bed on the floor!
Hahaha, this is how I fit so many under there!

Bookshelf Goals! Great video Lauren. Thank you. 😍📚
My daughter is at Vanbrugh this year, well her stuff is still there, but her first year in halls cut short sadly.
I love how you have set up your shelves 😍💕 The mix of momento's and favourite books are perfect.
Sylvia Plath, The Bell Jar. Love it
Also meant to say, I'm new to your channel so apologies if this video already exists but the favourite books you pointed out during this tour, I'd like to watch a video of you talking about these as they sounded interesting
Love the color coordination!
And by the way I don't think I've ever heard anyone who isn't Czech pronounce Hašek's name that well!
Yay! ☺️

As a Welshman, I approve of the sheep
beautiful collection! this was so calming to watch 🥰
Currently reading A Spool of Blue Thread. Such a great book. I suggest Breathing Lessons as well.

LOVE the grouping by color. Your home seems so beautifully decorated!
Thank you! I passed this message onto Will, who is chief interior designer

This was lovely. I love all that under bed storage. Lol
I really enjoy this video !! Now you making me want buy more haha!! Still like your layout of your books and the colours ones!! 🙂❤️
Lês Miserables is a delight. I was a teen when I read, and it was addictive.

Will was in Vanbrugh! ☺️
Your neckerchief matches your eyes exactly!! You should wear that colour more often. Also loved the collection!
You actually pronounced Jaroslav Hašek perfectly :) Your voice is SO soothing too :D
I didn't realise how much I needed this insight into your life until now 🙌
Haha 😘

Wonderful and calming Video, thanks Lauren!
I loved this Lauren, thank you for sharing it with us!
What I Loved by Siri Hustvedt. Read more than once. Have a good week!
It's not hoarding if it's books. Love your collection.
From Uruguay kisses... Nice lectures💙
Where is your desk from? It's so lovely! Great video 💫
Hi, it's a really beautiful home. Are you planning to read Exciting Times by Naoise Dolan ? Looking forward to next reading wrap up video.
I’m curious about your criteria for keeping books, since don’t have much space to store them, we all know how much of a premium is space nowadays lol. Do you buy only the ones you think you will love and keep? Do you buy regardless and giveaway the ones you didn’t love?

I haven’t read any Virginia Woolf, which book would you recommend to someone who wants to start to explore her work?
What are the sally Rooney books like
Omg,where did you buy that lamp behind you on the bedside table?
I asked Will but unfortunately he can’t remember! He would have spent a long time researching ‘rustic lamps’ online though to find it, I’m sure 😂
That 1 dislike is funny
Thanks for this video!
I really enjoyed it, loved the color combination 💙
I always find my dislikes quite funny because I wonder what people thought they were going to get when they clicked on the video?? 😂
@@LaurenWade they dislike the fact that you keep books under your bed. How dare you? 😂😂😂😂
To be fair, that’s a pretty sound reason, how rude of me!
Song of Achilles
🎶🔥
This woman seems really nice

Oh blimey! I am actually more intrigued now though...😅
