Couldn‘t quite focus cause I admired your rings throughout the whole video 😍 did you ever show your jewllery in one of your videos? Or could you tell where your Medusa(?) ring on your middle finger is from 🙊
Amazing book collection, I bought the Broken Earth Trilogy which arrived today. I love your recommendations, especially as its helpt broaden my reading genres x
This was so enjoyable to watch! I've added a bunch of books to my TBR from your mythology retelling and fantasy romance collections. 😍 The cart with your TBR books is also way too cute and I just decided I need to get one for myself.
Great tour. I have the white in my home office, but in my living room we have wood book shelves. WE do need more shelves out there, but plan on getting custom ones in a few years.
Omg your Juliet Marillier shelf🤣 I've also only read Dreamer's Pool by her, but loved it and own the next two, so hopefully I can get to them this year. I've told myself no to buying her other books till I finish them🤣
Hi, please can you make a video going through your graphic novel and picture book shelf? I would love to know what books are on it, they look interesting.
What 'Romanticism' Anthology edition have you got right next to the Shakespeare collection? Looks like my Old and Middle English Anthology (Blackwell Publishing) one. Great video btw :)
Loved the tour, you have so many books I want to read!!! Random question of the day: the reading chair at the end looks like the IKEA Strandmon one. I have been thinking of getting one but it seems rather hard. Do you find it comfortable??? xxNina
It is hard but I’d say in a sturdy way, I know some people find it uncomfortable but I personally like it. But I have body issues that mean I prefer things that are sturdier/with support etc
I actually met Samantha Shannon once, we used the same GP for doctors appointments, I didn't want to disturb her though lol because we were both waiting to see the doctor and that would have been weird, she was lovely though.
Wow your shelves look stunning. You neeeeeeed to read the Thirteen series by Michelle Harrison, they start off great and the series finishes spectacularly x
Growing up, I've grown jealousy to people who loves to read books and I've tried it many times but as soon as I sit down to read, I just always know that reading is not for me. I'm in my mid 20s now and I wanna start again. Do you have any recommendations in terms of habits or books I can start to practice with? I wanna love reading. I love the enthusiasm of readers and I wanna enter that world!
I’m a stranger but I often tell friends- Romanticize it! Your coziest clothes, soft music (I love the “dark academia” channels on UA-cam for reading music), light a candle, put your phone somewhere else. Tea, a snack… whatever does it for you. Book choice is key too, maybe you haven’t found your “brain candy” genre yet? College threw me into a serious reading slump and this is how I got my book brain back. It had to be indulgent me time for me to put the phone down and let myself drop into a story. Took a few weeks to retrain my brain but I got there. I wish you good luck!!
Emily Wilson’s translation is the most accessible version of The Odyssey from what I’ve read, so always commend that! She’s currently translating The Iliad too
In my early days of content creation I would email the publisher with all the relevant information for a review request (you can find this online), but most of the time now I am on reviewer lists, which means the publishers will send emails to reviewers with their upcoming releases when they’re available and you can reply saying which you’d like to review. That’s usually how I receive them now ☺️
I saw "Harry August" on your sci-fi shelf.... Just FYI that book has some INTENSE and drawn out scenes of child mutilation and torture. I really really wish I hadn't read that book.
LOL my house is the same way... books stored EVERYWHERE 😂
That myths and fairytales shelf is my dream, so pretty and such a good variety!
i’ve never seen someone else that owns the harry potter history of magic book!!
Couldn‘t quite focus cause I admired your rings throughout the whole video 😍 did you ever show your jewllery in one of your videos? Or could you tell where your Medusa(?) ring on your middle finger is from 🙊
Soo many books! Haha I feel you about GOT, I've been waiting YEARS for the third book in Name of the Wind 😅
I'm just so amazed of how you are able to not break the spines of the Robin Hobb books haha
Your cosy reading corner with the chair is so dreamy ✨

Juliet Marillier! You are the first booktuber I have seen to have her. You should finish the Sevenwaters series; it is amazing
Omg your Juliet Marillier shelf🤣 I've also only read Dreamer's Pool by her, but loved it and own the next two, so hopefully I can get to them this year. I've told myself no to buying her other books till I finish them🤣

You have two more copies of the Invisible Life of Addie Larue than I have, I have to get a copy sometime it sounds like my kind of novel.
Do you remember where you got the Irish folktale and Chinese legends books? Those are stunning 😍
Irish folktale I just got online I believe, the Chinese Legends book I got from Daunt Books but you should be able to find online ☺️

Your bookshelves are things of dream 🥰🥰
Wowww your bookshelf is cool
I have (almost )fit like 500 books in two bigger book shelves but I have to stack them all on top of each other so it doesn’t look as good:(
Books are the best way to decorate a house

Me: Shhhhh Ashleigh is talking!

SHELF ENVY😍
Which translations of the iliad and the odyssey would you suggest for someone without much knowledge/context of the texts?
Emily Wilson’s translation is the most accessible version of The Odyssey from what I’ve read, so always commend that! She’s currently translating The Iliad too
WOW💜💜💜
How do you get ARCs?
