  • Many know that I like to make small animations in 3D as an introduction to my videos. Since I like science fiction, a lot of those presentation videos are about that topic, including flying saucers, spaceships, and the like.
    Well, I had made some of those short animations about my favorite series as a child: "Journey to the Bottom of the Sea," which was very popular in the 1960s (I still remember Admiral Nelson, Captain Lee and Sailor Kowalski)
    In the end I liked the results and I decided to upload them to UA-cam, ordered in a more or less logical sequence. The result is the one you have in this video that I hope will at least bring pleasant memories to people over 50, nostalgic of the series (^^).
    A cordial greeting to the lovers of Science Fiction.
    PS: Does anyone know what ship appears in this video, shipwrecked on the bottom of the sea?
    ...Kirk Douglas is sure to know this. (^^)
    Un cordial saludo a los amantes de la Ciencia Ficción.
    PD: ¿ Alguien sabe qué navío aparece en éste vídeo, naufragado el el fondo del mar ?(^^)

      it really is well done. my only criticism is that your credit appears frequently in your film whihc is a distraction. Your credit should only appear at the end. But your 3d animation is really good, far above mineaand I've been learning 3d animation for at least the last ten years. WHat program dd you use?

    • @JoseMariaMonteroYunta
      @JoseMariaMonteroYunta  5 років тому +1

      You are absolutely right in your criticism.
      In principle, this video was not intended as a tribute to the TV series, they were just small animated intros for my channel, which I did in a different order, but I realized that they could join forming a temporal sequence and form a small story that would serve as a tribute to my TV series of my childhood, which made me born into my love of science fiction and fantasy movies and novels.
      Unfortunately my computer broke and with my computer my 3D editing program disappeared (I no longer do 3D works) and therefore I could not redo the sequences eliminating the promotion of the channel "magic and curiosities" but I thought it was wrong to waste the opportunity to show these videos that I think will bring fond memories to those who saw on TV the adventures of the Seview and its crew. (^^)
      I take this opportunity to show you my collection of models about science fiction movies.
      See you, cordial greetings. I apologize for my English from "Google translator"

I already have a new Dell laptop, but it is not very appropriate to make computer animations in 3D, however this hobby, although for me it has been very satisfactory, it takes too much time and work, for a few seconds of animation, as well that now I prefer to dedicate my spare time to my other multiple hobbies: listening to music, reading historical and science fiction novels, walking through the countryside, shooting with a compressed air gun, playing video games ..., and, above all, enjoying the life in the company of my dear wife.

    what program did you use to make this?

    • @JoseMariaMonteroYunta
      @JoseMariaMonteroYunta  5 років тому +1

      Hi, colleague
      I
      have used the program "Vue Desprit" which is a program that makes
      wonderful "renders" of very photorealistic landscapes, with movement of
      clouds and plants that move with the wind. However, it is a program that allows very simple animations, such as camera movements and simple movements of objects. You also need very powerful computers.
      With
      this program I have done many "intros of branding" of my channel "Magic
      and Curiosities" that is dedicated to the tricks of magic and unusual
      toys.
      ua-cam.com/video/BEtsnHp09S8/v-deo.html
      I have also made renderings of photo frames that are truly realistic with this program and with "Bryce" and with 3D Studio Max.

      Always at the amateur level (^^)

    Why does FS1 have the same propulsion as the Jupiter 2 ?

    • @JoseMariaMonteroYunta
      @JoseMariaMonteroYunta  5 років тому +1

      The propulsion of the FS1 I think is a propulsion propeller. (I have put two backlights for aesthetic reasons) I have not been able to animate the rotation of the propeller in the animation.
      The propulsion of Jupiter 2 seems to be by a gravitational motor, at least in the original TV series.
      The propulsion of Jupiter 2 in the modern Netflix TV series if it uses jet propulsion engines powered by liquid fuel.
      I do not remember the propulsion system of Jupiter 2 from the 1998 film en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_in_Space_(film)
      Keep in mind that I wanted to make a homage to the TV series "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" and I tried to reflect my feelings without being scrupulously true to reality.

    Visuals are nice but the music stinks! I would prefer no music and just hear the Seaviews sonar ping only!

      Surely you are absolutely right. (in any case I appreciate your honest comment) (^^)
      I would have liked to put the opening music of the TV series, which is a music full of mystery, but I could not do it because of copyright problems.
      See you later
