That paccar engine and automatic transmission are for the birds, back in the day they were just send it off to a glider shop and stick a sixty series or cummins in there. But now the government wants to check our hands
Those automatics suck when backing up to a dock. They lurch, and it's almost impossible not to slam into the dock like a rookie. Manual is the way to go. Just feather the clutch, and tap the dock nice and easy.
I will sue Peterbilt Motors Company, if they don’t continue building the 389 for the years to come. For those who think the 379 and the 389 is a legacy that should never die. We the people !!!!
2024 is the last year of the 389. But you should look at the new 2025 589. And obviously the 24 model is made in 23 so next year the 25 will be available, there are already some on the ground.

It's a Peterbuilt You get a bed and maybe a reading light that's about it. If you want something that's comfortable you get a western star or volvo
