Agreed. In fact he had access to his security cams, right ? Could have used those as evidence of the cheating for his divorce as well as send them to landlord's wife for her D day and divorce

As someone who writes for a living-- what he did was worse than what she did... and I'm saying that as someone who has been cheated on and considered the other partner a friend... I lost a novella once that I had spent about a year writing-- I spent so long tweaking it and really fine tuning it, only for a power surge to wipe it... losing it sent me into a depression, i stopped writing for years, lost all passion for it-- it took me years to even try and even then I stopped writing for myself-- whenever I would try, I would just make myself sick knowing it isn't as good as that one novella was... I've tried to rewrite it, remember phrases-- nope... it's just gone. Any relationship, marriage or otherwise, that ends with a partner cheating, with the right willpower you can recover from... but when you lose what you feel in your heart was your chance to make a mark on the world-- that's gone forever. OP equates 6-7yrs of marriage to 3yrs of work... the reality is that he destroyed the dreams of someone who probably had those dreams long before him. OP can fall in love again, marry someone new... she'll never ever be able to recover what she lost no matter the amount of time, her novel's dead. Obviously she's super in the wrong, cheating is never okay buuuuut that reaction and then toying with her, that's toxic af.
I also write as a hobby and I actually would have been just extremely annoyed. If I’ve written something once, especially something I’m passionate about, I can rewrite and have rewritten from scratch. Can you imagine had he secretly copied the novel and published it with his name or made a book about cheating and had his ex and landlords real names on it either way his revenge is perfect but I still wish he told the landlords wife
The problem with that is it's pretty likely that one or several of her beta readers had recent copies, so they would just hand it back to her and corroborate his theft in a court case.
Absolutely nta. Bro did everything right. As a writer myself, she is an idiot for not keeping a copy on a usb drive. The only thing he should've done is tell the landlords wife
Good on OP for getting even. When a partner cheats, no quarter is to be given. Cheaters deserve nothing, and anyone that argues that is a Colleen Hoover fan.
I remember the first marrage of my granpa before my granma, after 4 years he found the previous woman on the bed with other man he literally open the door and went "Oh! Excuse me, I seem to be in the way." literally grabbed as much of his stuff he could carry, no anger at all and just drove off without saying more, he divorced her, left her everything except his money and never spoke to her again. He was just incredible, he told me "It is not worth getting angry with cheaters they don't care about you, is better to show them how little you care about them back at that moment." Of course not everyone can do that, but if I find myself in this situation at some point (hopefully not) I know what to do.
Jenna never appreciated all the work OP put into her dream. She never would have gotten as far working on her book if it wasn't for OP supporting and encouraging her. That's part of why he was so torn on deleting it, he invested in her and her dream too :( I personally would have kept a final copy myself and used it as leverage in the divorce but seeing her cry harder for the book over betraying her husband it's a tough sell.
Almost certainly. Or she can quickstep to the email provider and ask them to recover her previous emails, which may be an outside chance, but certainly a possibility.

Wow, Colleen Hoover eh, should have told you all you needed to know given what that author writes about. Have went and told the land lords wife first off. I was about to say that destroying every copy of the book was too far, because for me it is. It's also something completely untied to the cheating, so it doesn't make sense for me... But then I reasoned that she can probably rewrite it (a pain in the ass, but once you've written it for 3 years, you know it like the back of your hand), and more importantly anyone she sent it to will still have a copy of it, so she can easily recover one of the last versions. So what OP did was merely petty, although he thought it was a huge revenge. It's like pretedending to be back with her only so that he can spray-paint an insult on her car... Sure, he can do it, and it will probably hurt her for a week or two, but in the end you'll come off as petty and childish.
So she avoid other guys who's been hitting on her, cut of a male friend whose op wasn't comfortable, only to bend over a 50 year old landlord? And supposedly one time, that op coincidentally came back home to? She's must been kicking herself stupid by now.
I'm just saying I don't agree with him deleting three years of work, and please don't yell at me that I think that's really, really mean Just think about it. What if you were the person to get in your work deleted? Think about it from that point of view. I'm just saying..
I am a writer myself and i can't imagine how much it would hurt if the book I've spent writing for the past year would've been destroyed but she deserved it ❕she cheated on her husband and now she can pay the price ❤
She wrote a story about her being unfaithful. That story was probably a confession about her cheating, and she was just banging the landlord for inspiration for her next chapter.
I would have kept a copy of the story somewhere safe and every so often reference a sentence or quote something that was written in posts or random memes
I will also that personally I think being mad at bro is a little fucked up because like realistically if you really think about it, he wasn’t the one in the relationship and if he was in a relationship, tell his a woman that’s just my opinion, but I would digress because I understand this is very intricate

So the operator did 99% of everything correctly, but my only issue is why they didn't inform the landlord's wife about anything.
Happy ending
This is a breath of fresh air! It feels great and has an ending to it.
HE COLD. 🥶
2 wrongs don't make a right
COLLEEN HOVER AS AN IDOL NAHHHH BRO
Deleting her book was messed up. Sometimes revenge is necessary, to deter future behavior or to regain something lost. This was simply malicious.
Colleen Hoover being her idol says a lot
would it even mattwr if u deleted? surelt she has it saved
He deleted the back up.
HER IDOL IS COHO?! You did her a favor.
What's wrong
I don't understand how did U do the blue text
@@adam-f6q2y she's weird
So she avoid other guys who's been hitting on her, cut of a male friend whose op wasn't comfortable, only to bend over a 50 year old landlord? And supposedly one time, that op coincidentally came back home to? She's must been kicking herself stupid by now.
Only thing better to do would publishing the book himself 😂
This feels so fake with how its written
Bots leaving bot comments
Wait, she claimed she cheated because she was lonely & supporting them?!?😂
I'm just saying I don't agree with him deleting three years of work,
and please don't yell at me
that I think that's really, really mean
Just think about it.
If it was on cloud storage there would be no point deleting it. Just ask the cloud storage provider to roll back the storage.
The father was clearly wrong. A man who cares about the gender of his enemy is no man at all.
I would have kept a copy of the story somewhere safe and every so often reference a sentence or quote something that was written in posts or random memes
imagine if one of the beta readers she sent the story to publishes it in their name haha
I am a writer, and this is not great...
Ngl i would have been selfish and get a copy of it on a usb before deleting lol
I will also that personally I think being mad at bro is a little fucked up because like realistically if you really think about it, he wasn’t the one in the relationship and if he was in a relationship, tell his a woman that’s just my opinion, but I would digress because I understand this is very intricate
