Looks amazing! But the 240 fps, is that 'Movie' or 'S & Q'? Some say you have to use S and Q to get to 240...? Also: Does autofocus work in that mode...or just manual? Cheers!
@@thedavidbrother2 thanks! It's the S&Q on 1080p and 8x slow. Autofocus does work, though a bit more limited. I used manual focus in this video because the bird would be too fast, I just focused on where I thought it would dive
Prachtig filmpje geworden van de IJsvogels bij onze Photo United fotohut. Blij dat we er aan mee hebben kunnen werken en we zien je graag nog eens terug bij een van onze fotohutten.
Its a good feature to have 1080p 240 fps. But the drop in quality is quite evident. Sony should have worked more on this feature to make 1080p 240 fps more crisper, like increasing bit rate or something. Nevertheless it’s a good clip. But i am gonna stick with 4k 120 fps 😅
I agree with you. I do have to mention that the 4K 1080p was filmed with the Sony 17-105 F4.0 which also has a drop in sharpness. I hope to one day be able to afford the Sony 70-200 F2.8 haha. If you can spot it there is one diving clip in 4K 120fps in this video. 01:35 I think. I would not mind this drop in sharpness if it was just the 200+fps mode. But it's also the case for regular 1080p footage with these crop sony cameras
@@WillemvanderPijl thanks, can you please let me knw EVF quality? I am coming from DSLR and a fan of amazing OVF , how good is the resolution thru the view finder? I am getting a used Canon R6 FF and new SOny A6700 for same price, am leaning towards Sony due to its small form factor,
@@StartreckTu I never owned anything besides the Sony a6400 and A6700... So the EVF does not bother me, I do notice that photos are actually sharper compared to what I see in the viewfinder. I see the Canon R6 has around 3.6 million dots the A6700 has around 2.3 million dots..
The 240fps is 1080p, the branch shots are 120fps 4K I love the slowmotion but the quality difference, especially on a big screen is quite big unfortunately. I added some settings I used to the description.
great video !!
Amazong shots 👍🏻
What picture profile were you using? S-cinetone or something else?
very beautiful video, thanks for sharing 👍🏼
Great slow motion footages! I've never seen that much colorful birds. They are so pretty.
Wow 🔥🔥🔥
amazing! inspired to try this

Great video! Freehand or with a tripod?
Thanks!
It's both, the shots on the branch are free hand, when he is diving it's with a tripod.
Which memory to use to record slow motion?
@@BirdinginMalaysia It's a V90 card from sandisk
Autoficus for diving or preset manual
@@Dyfiwildlifephotography When diving I used focus peaking to manually focus on the right spot and then I waited for a looong time for it to jump haha

Good shots. Did you film in standard profile or slog (or anything else)?
are these handheld shots or tripod ?
@@StartreckTu the slowmo dives are a tripod. The others handheld
