@@do.r.4750 thanks! So I wanted as much bokeh as possible but I don't have ND filters for this lens. So my shutter was around 1/800 Iso as low as possible, later in the day I started to increase it but the day was very bright. I used 4K 100fps which I slow down to 50% or 25% in the video. Everything is either handheld or monopod.

@@do.r.4750 there is a golden rule for shutterspeed Your shutter should be double your fps So 25fps video you use 1/50 100fps video 1/200 Good luck!

@@hilmarkampstra1686 ik heb er zelf geen video van maar het werkt als volgt: Onderste draaiknop naar S&Q S&Q selecteren Menu knop -> in het witte video menu onder het sterretje -> kwaliteit op XAVC S HD Dan in datzelfde menu de camera zetten op 25p 200fps als je camera op PAL staat voor de EU Als je echt 240fps wilt moet je hem van PAL (50hz) afhalen maar kan kun je met normale video flikkering krijgen met verlichting Met S&Q is de video al langzaam in de camera zelf wanneer je het terugkijkt

@@thedavidbrother2 thanks! It's the S&Q on 1080p and 8x slow. Autofocus does work, though a bit more limited. I used manual focus in this video because the bird would be too fast, I just focused on where I thought it would dive

@@WillemvanderPijl thanks, can you please let me knw EVF quality? I am coming from DSLR and a fan of amazing OVF , how good is the resolution thru the view finder? I am getting a used Canon R6 FF and new SOny A6700 for same price, am leaning towards Sony due to its small form factor,

@@StartreckTu I never owned anything besides the Sony a6400 and A6700... So the EVF does not bother me, I do notice that photos are actually sharper compared to what I see in the viewfinder. I see the Canon R6 has around 3.6 million dots the A6700 has around 2.3 million dots..

Thanks! It's both, the shots on the branch are free hand, when he is diving it's with a tripod.

I agree with you. I do have to mention that the 4K 1080p was filmed with the Sony 17-105 F4.0 which also has a drop in sharpness. I hope to one day be able to afford the Sony 70-200 F2.8 haha. If you can spot it there is one diving clip in 4K 120fps in this video. 01:35 I think. I would not mind this drop in sharpness if it was just the 200+fps mode. But it's also the case for regular 1080p footage with these crop sony cameras

The 240fps is 1080p, the branch shots are 120fps 4K I love the slowmotion but the quality difference, especially on a big screen is quite big unfortunately. I added some settings I used to the description.

@@alessioragghianti4462 this was handheld! If you slow it down it's more stable. Bees move too much to use a gimbal or tripod.

@@WillemvanderPijlThank you a lot for the prompt answer. Did you use ibis on or active steadyshot or did you stabilized the footage in post?

@@alindarko812 Steadyshow, Active stabilisation is not available with 4K 120fps (if I remember correctly). If you slow down to 25% you already gain a lot of stability. Sometimes I stabilize that slowed down footage even more in post

@@wanderdutts4584 yes handheld most of the time.. slowing the footage down already helps a lot with stabilisation

@@wanderdutts4584 do you use Adobe Premiere? If you do, record in 100fps, slow down the footage to 25%, nest it in it's own sequence and use warp stabilisation on that sequence

@WillemvanderPijl I use FCPX. That's got stabilisation which is pretty good. I usually use my 18-50 or 56mm but bought the 70-350 a few weeks ago for photography but will try it out for video

@@wanderdutts4584 good luck! I really like the 4K 100fps for nature because you get the extra 1.5x crop. Which makes the 70-350 perfect reach

Don't let it's size cool you. It has the same autofocus as the A7 RV with the FX30 (so smaller version of tje FX3) sensor
