I live in northwest Pennsylvania. And i heat my house with wood. I deal with red and white oak rounds. Typically in that 16-24in diameter. I wonder if this 8ton splitter would be enough to take them on.
Thanks for your help, I just saw this for the first time today, I couldn’t stop myself Lol ! I ordered one this morning very well priced machine!!! Split fire is really gonna shine on this machine 👍
Maybe I am wrong, Friend, but I worry about your left thumb and fingers when I watch this video. They are sometimes exceedingly close to danger, in my opinion. Please be careful. Going fast can sometimes lull one into becoming a bit mesmorized during the process.
The more you show this machine the more I like it! Really like the price point! Seems like it has more power then just 7 tons while watching! I wonder how it would hold up to semi-commercial use? I produce about 15-20 cords a year right now, but my firewood side hustle is growing each year!
@FirewoodInTheField I can see this is a great addition to my woodlot. I have a skid attach splitter, firewood processor, and a large splitter...... this thing splits more precise and a bit faster cycle time. Nice price point

It'll do fine. Since this video, I've split much hickory, maple, beech, and oak.... it does fine

@@daveholmes123 Good for you! You won't regret
Beach is the hardest and densest down here so it splits it no problem like you said it’s all how you take the bite ! Great job Derek

I want one! I wish Eastonmade would sponsor me!
@@OliverofAllTrades Don't we all! Eastonmade..... awesome machines for sure
@@dereksstuff8395 Yeah. Split-Fire is great also. An electric splitter would be nice to run indoors in the winter.
@@OliverofAllTrades That would be the key to working warm and dry in the winter months
Never put your thumb on the top of the wood. More the branch is small more it's dangerous. Take care.
@@mars-lquebec9776 thanks
