- Though his time as fourth hokage of konoha was brief, Minato Namikaze was remembered as one of the most powerful ninja that Konoha ever produced. Famous for his efforts on behalf of konoha and protecting the village during the Kyuubi attack, Minato truly proved his worth as hokage. However, not everyone was on board with him being picked as hokage and one such man was Fugaku Uchiha, the father of Itachi and Sasuke!

Minato was only 24 years old when he passed away, he was a natural talent no sharingan no senju cells no jinchuriki no uzumaki chakra. And he needed to be killed for the plot of the series plus in his era he was the strongest shinobi alive.

Probably because Fugaku was a ready and experienced leader but was denied again and were treated like crap generally. The Uchiha were right to be pissed.

Uchiha were kind of stuck. We saw with Haku that clans with kekkai genkai are targeted for destruction if they don't stick with a village, as their abilities are too heavily feared. And since doijutsu like sharingan and byakugan can be harvested, they're prioritized targets even when protected by a village.
So if they left to live on their own, they'd be destroyed by other ninja. If they left to join another village, they'd be destroyed by Konoha for their betrayal. And with how the Uchiha were silenced within the system (not chosen for Hokage, disregarded within the Jonin council) they couldn't leverage their influence to change things peacefully. Nor could they win public support through protest and public demonstration, because they were stigmatized by the public. The Uchiha really were forced into a terrible situation with very little recourse.
Personally, I think the Uchiha should have tried going on strike, and tried to change public opinion somehow. But it's understandable that they didn't - ninja are covert military operatives after all. "Secret violence" comes a lot more naturally than "obnoxiously public peace." It's no wonder that the Village Hidden in the Bodies of Child Soldiers had people more equipped to attempt a violent coup than to puzzle out advanced strategies for peaceful social reform.

Fugaku is a bad ass dude, he shouldve at least been praised for his skill. Not to mention his loyalty to the village, and his respect for his "superiors". He conciously tried to keep the peace in konoha. Also, imo had he been able to fight the nine tails he wouldve gen jutsued it into submission.

I'm pretty sure, that if Minato didn't die with such a short leadership, there would be no coup, since Fugaku was actively trying to negotiate with the Konoha leaders for years and years, but the elders, Danzo, and the biggest monster in Naruto, namely the 3rd(yes Hiruzen was a huge villain), always screwed him over. So with Minato in charge, negotiations would finally begin and change in unification would be able to begin, which would lead to a whole different story.

Danzo went around The 3rd’s back like a snake to get Itachi to wipe out the Uchiha Clan while Hiruzen was trying to calm shit down and negotiate.The 3rd was a good man and had nothing to do with what Danzo did and he disliked Danzo going behind his back so much that he took away a lot of Danzo’s power in the village.

Hiruzen wasn't a villain, but he definitely didn't enforce his will as the Hokage enough, he was weak. A lot of things bad things happened under his leadership, and normally if bad things happen we blame the leader. He should have suspected that Danzo couldn't be trusted.
Lord 3rd is not no villain! Danzo's bitchass went behind his goddamn back and asked Itachi if he wanted to slotter the whole clan accept Sasuke. While Lord 3rd tried to calm shit down. It’s ironic that most of not all main villains that started almost all the problems in the Shinobi world were Uchiha. Madara left the village and controlled the Nine Tails to destroy the village. Obito did the same against Minato, the entire Shippuden series was mainly based on bringing Sasuke back. It was Madara that started the Fourth Great Ninja/Shinobi War. His plan to capture the Tailed Beasts for Project Infinite Tsukuyomi. Just saying.

Conclusion? Madaras and particularly Obito‘s actions were not what created villains in the show, I would even say considering Sasuke, Orochimaru, Pain and Kabuto‘s Backstory’s Konoha did a way better job than Obito. Perhaps it wasn‘t the Uchiha who were cursed but Konoha.

Well he is really strong. Even the fox admit it. Knowing that it was the dark side of the fox. It took Naruto whole time to use that technique but for Minato it only took a minute. And probably the sage mode will be just so easy for him.

I love Minato, I fully support him being Hokage, but the Uchiha had rights to be mad, not towards Minato, but towards the Elders. Also not all Uchiha are bad, remember Shisui, the man who was willing to use THE MOST POWERFUL genjutsu on his entire clan to prevent them from rebelling. Also remember the Tsunade dream filler episode as well on how the Uchiha could've turned out if things were different.
When I was a kid and don't know pretty much anything about the lore of Naruto, I always wanted to be part of the Uchiha clan because I think they're cool and had a cool eye power (kekkei genkai) which is sharingan because of Sasuke and Itachi. I thought that the clan was the most powerful, well-known and respected clan in all of Konoha. I have only recently found out the truth about Uchihas, and how they are discriminated by Konoha when I started to follow the series

You're a little off there with the crits. Danzo's actions weren't so he could feel powerful, and they actually were for the best of the village. You have to understand that his goal was to attain the title of Hokage and make sure the Village was the strongest among the others. Danzo's motivations and character were fiercely militant, because he grew up during all three great Shinobi World Wars and that was essentially what the shinobi world was. Constant battle between the villages, great and small. Danzo knew the importance of maintaining power because so many smaller villages got crushed or taken advantage of. Even the Hidden Sand were going broke and weak, even though they were considered one of the Five Great Villages. The Stone and Cloud were always the main antagonists to the Leaf, and the Mist were just....bloody and violent.
As far as invoking the name of Madara, not really. Though, the Uchiha were constant threats within the village and let's not forget, that Obito is the one who was following Madara's intentions, who was following the will of Zetsu. So in a sense, yes, Madara was the one instigating the dangers that Danzo needed Hiruzen to act on, but we all know how caring Hiruzen was and that was not going to work.

I'll just keep this brief. If Danzo really cared about Village strength, unity is the best way to do that. Keeping the Uchiha close, allowing them to demonstrate their value, and giving them equal treatment was the best way to utilize their strength to bolster the village's strength.
Danzo sowed division which creates weakness in any structure, organization, or group of people.
His approach was wrong and I'm not going to justify his actions by saying he had good intentions or that he grew up in a time of war.

Umm I guess no one payed attention to the anime but Madara planted the seeds of doubt and purposely manipulated the clan to distrust the leaf, he did it all put of spite since they all turned their backs on him right before he had his big battle with the first.
While you stated everything that did occur and played out you didn't mention the root of all this.

There were two significant clashes within the village, that made them imbalanced, regardless of the diversity. We can depict the clans as Ethno-nationalists, while the Shinobi (s) can frequently be contrasted with the caste system. It might not be as apparent, but the impact of it can be shown throughout the Naruto-verse.
The Hidden leaf were excessively diverse. Diversity isn’t bad, but the ultimate rejection of it in favor of your own, is. The second Hokage said it himself, no other clan, not even the Senju, possessed more love and companionship than the Uchiha. Which carries us to the second conflict, the Uchiha’s curse of hatred.
That strong love of the Uchiha converts into enmity, perhaps even tenfold, leaving them more inclined to ‘do anything and everything in their power to achieve their goals and show their own predominance, paying little respect to the outcomes and repercussions of their actions.’ Sasuke turning against the leaf was an example of it. He set out to avenge his brother, while disregarding him simultaneously.
Hashirama Senju believed he could douse the fire between the two clans in light of his old nostalgic dream and companionship with Madara, forgetting that the Uchiha and Senju have been killing one another for decades. Madara and Hashirama lost a large number of their siblings, let alone clansmen, during the conflict, and the distrust even after the peace treaty was inevitable. It’s not a bad dream, really. However, just because *you* managed to work it out, doesn’t mean everyone else would.
That resembles Japan shelling Pearl Harbor, the US then retaliating by bombarding Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and then deciding to just end the conflict overnight and act like none of it had ever occurred the next day. Somewhere out there, there’s still groups who blame each other for conflicts that had happened decades ago.
The Uchiha and Senju tried to build things overnight, which ultimately led to their demise. They understood that it might not work, but what was there to lose? They no longer had to fear for the lives of their loved ones- which led the Uchiha to reject Madara. But imagine strolling down the village and staring at the man who slaughtered your child? Or the one whom you once tried to befriend, only to be betrayed?
Why did Tobirama dislike the Uchiha so much?
“Tobirama was a firm believer in the Will of Fire - a philosophy that held that all villagers of Konoha were part of a family. Any who threatened Konoha were subject to his rarely-seen but unbridled rage. It was for this reason that he came into conflict with the Uchiha and Madara. Because he believed they were more interested in themselves and their goals. [Ethno-nationalists]
He was close with Kagami Uchiha because Kagami valued the village. He chose the will of fire over the curse of hatred and passed it onto Shisui. Which leads one to believe that not many Uchiha’s tried to change like Kagami did.
The Hyuga clan’s division is the exemplar of the Hidden Leaf’s fatal flaw. Furthermore, the key issue with the Uchiha clan was the Sharingan itself. A curse within a blessing. But is it all bad? Depends on why you hate.
In the Itachi novel, daybreak, which is said to be canon, Itachi at the age of four felt a presence lurking within him during the war, a presence as he claimed could cause him to lose himself on the off chance that he enabled it to dominate. So he smothered it at four, and again at five. It was that of the Sharingan. In other words, he could have attained it many times, but suppressed it.
The Sharingan is the scourge of scorn. From the minute you enabled it to assume control over, you picked the path you’ll pursue. That philosophy was exhibited in the clashing dialogues among Gaara and Naruto during the Chunin exam. Gaara was powerful, to a degree, Naruto found unbelievable. It made him wonder if contempt can truly make you more powerful as a Ninja. Matter of fact, it can once in a while. You restrain yourself less when it comes to fighting an opponent. It’s easier to fight with the intent to harm rather than without it.
Itachi, despite being shown as ‘good’, hungered for power and was full of enmity, but not the kind we’ve seen in most others. He despised himself for being frail, detested conflict, war, fighting, and suffering. He decided at four, in the wake of seeing the numerous corpses of the Shinobi during the war his father had brought him to witness as proof that this is how the world functioned, those of his own and that of the adversary, that he wanted to become the strongest Ninja to ever exist to eradicate all that which he loathed. So that when he sees two people fighting, he could easily step between them. And for that, the others laughed at him at the Ninja academy. Because no one believed such a thing was attainable.
He disagreed with father then. This isn’t how the world should function and he’d never accept it as such. Many times, Itachi was shown as open minded and optimistic in comparison to his kinsmen.
Ultimately, Itachi’s meeting with Danzo was what set the ‘present’ gears in motion. His father wanted a spy within the village, and Danzo, within the clan. After graduating from the academy, Danzo asked him a question: If there’s ten people, and one of them fell ill, would you risk the lives of all ten, or make sure the other nine live? He chose the latter, which later on, symbolized his inner conflict of choice between the Uchiha and the village.
Once Itachi was faced with the trial, he fell into despair. He spent a decade of his life, wanting to become strong enough to end the Shinobi conflict, the ongoing slaughter, only to end up facing reality. Should he save the nine [village] or risk the illness of the One [Uchiha clan] to spread and kill the others?
We could utilize Hunter x Hunter for instance here. During the hunter exam arc, Gon, Kurapika and Leoriohad passed a deserted town. So as to pass, they were expected to respond to an inquiry: Your son and daughter have been kidnapped. You can only save one. Which one do you choose? The daughter or the son. The old lady starts to count up to five. Leorio tries to attack her but Kurapika stops him, saying that they have already passed. The right answer is silence because it was anything but a sensible inquiry. Gon remained pondering it. On the off chance that he was ever in a position where he indeed had to choose, whom would he choose? This was the true meaning of the test. The realization, that in the world they live in, a time may come where you’ll have to make the ultimate sacrifice.
You can contend that none of it would have happened had Fugaku Uchiha been recommended as Hokage. But the clan was already inclining to their disdain against the leaf. "You don't become the Hokage to be acknowledged by everyone. The one who is acknowledged by everyone becomes the Hokage." And that’s what ultimately separated Minato and Fugako. Minato had the trust Fugako and Orochimaru lacked. Truth be told, had Kagami Uchiha been alive, he was more than likely to be trusted.
Orochimaru was an example of the grudge of one who isn’t chosen. Years later, he still held it against the village for choosing Minato over him. And had Fugaku been recommended for the position, but ultimately losing it, wouldn’t the clan hate Minato, regardless? If we were to believe that Minato could have stopped the Uchiha clan’s massacre through negotiation, wouldn't that be a definitive decider that Minato was the best decision at the time?
Itachi never regarded the village as pure, in fact he acknowledged it’s dark side, as he did for the Uchihas, and his brother. “So this time, I want to impart this truth to you… You don't even have to forgive me. And no matter what you do from here on out, know this… I will love you always."
Minato and Naruto acknowledged that darkness too. But all three ultimately chose what they believed was for the greater good.
"People Live their Lives bound by what they accept as correct and true. That is how they define "Reality" . But what does it mean to be "correct" or "true"? They are merely vague concepts... Their "Reality" may all be a mirage. Can we consider them to be simply living in their own world, shaped by their beliefs?" - Itachi.
Conflicting philosophies of individuals who believe they’re on the right.. The Uchiha believed they were, and Danzo believed he was… In the end, each of them were shaped by their belief of ‘righteousness.’
By the end of the war, you realize all that is futile and everyone was a fool. The Uchihas were ultimately used by Madara, Madara by Zetsu, and Zetsu by bloody Kaguya.

While this lore makes sense in isolation, what I don't get is if the Uchiha were feared by the village in general to the point that they were purged, why is it that by the time Sasuke was in the academy all everyone everywhere did was sing his praises constantly- well other than to piss off Naruto? For what its worth any adult who witnessed his talents probably saw Itachi come up a few years earlier and frankly, Sasuke at 13 was a pale shadow of Itachi at 7 until he got the curse mark. The schoolgirls fawning over him is one thing, but you'd think the adults would have seen him as bad news and shunned him n a similar way to Naruto. Especially given that there are no incidences previous to the battle vs. Haku where Naruto showed Nine Tails power to scare the public, and he was the son of a dead leader and war hero.

I find it absolutely insane how history repeated itself with Fugako and Itachi. Both loved their village, but were never recognized for that love, commitment or sacrifice. I think it was even worse for itachi because her was groomed and manipulated into really believing that what he was doing was for the best.
