JUST SUBSCRIBED GEORGIA. I went to view and "like" I Put A Spell On You also. Loved both reactions and your appreciation of this musical prodigy. She did many great performances at age 10. To see how much she improved just a few months after this one is the classic song "FEELING GOOD, Live on the Stream Gir Tilbake" at 10 yo. It is on stage with a great jazz band and televised live on national TV in Norway. Imo, It is the best version of the song ever including many of the greats. Thank you Cheers from Florida
Angelina was scheduled to record this song on April 22, 2016. The day before her mother told her the lyrics were not appropriate for a 10 years old. Angelina rewrote the lyrics the same day, edited them on the way to the studio and released the song the following day on April 23. Welcome to the world of this amazing young prodigy. Most established artists will be proud of someone performing their song in a different arrangement or improvised lyrics as long it is very respectful of the song. Angelina Jordan performed her own arrangement of Bohemian Rhapsody at AGT The Championships and drew praise from the remaining members of the band QUEEN. They posted her performance on their social media accounts and also granted her copyright to her own version. The MAMAS AND PAPAS were also impressed by her own version of California Dreaming and posted her performance on their social media accounts. Back to Black is very dark song that implies going back to hard drugs (Black). Amy Winehouse would have been very proud of the this 10 years old named Angelia Jordan. @@davidtouma4878 you can put your own spin on a song and you can change an arrangement musically, but when you change the lyrics your messing with the heart and soul of that artist’s work. In the case of Amy Winehouse she’s pouring out her soul in those lyrics and telling you a story pertaining to her life. No one has the right to rewrite a persons life experiences their sharing with the world in a song. You may think that’s ok, but I definitely do not ! I guess you figure Angelina was staying-true to the song when she changed lyrics in Rehab to school. This song only exists because of Amy’s problems, and it has to do with drugs and alcohol and Rehab, not school !

So the correct option would have been not to do the song. You don’t disrespect the artist by changing their work !
