I am old and I really enjoy the spotlight hate5six is putting on these bands. I love it. These kids are just letting loose no egos just immersed in the moment purging all the negative with the brutal sounds.
Just read up on the accident and wamted to share for snyone else who was confused like I was: Apparently the band was on tour in Utah earlier this year when they were involved in a car accident that left everyone with injuries, but Madi came out the worst. She had a lot of damage to her face requiring surgery including wiring her jaw shut and inserting a tracheostomy tube to help her breathe. She also has an unkown amount of brain damage due to the trauma to her cranium. As of August she was starting to walk again and was eating solid food with the good possibility of her trach coming out soon.
As a bit of an old timer this band is new to me. Heavy as f***! Love it! Also wishing a quick recovery to Madi! Someone who sings as heavy as that ain't going down so easy!

Yeah, WOMEN ARE HITTING in Hardcore, Metalcore and Deathcore right now! The big ones like Jinjer and Spiritbox, but also others like Employed To Serve, Dying Wish, Entheos, Venom Prison, Svalbard, Not Enough Space, Initiate, Face Yourself, Pupil Slicer, Year Of The Knife, etc etc.
The Year Of The Knife's set was a surprise. They weren't even on the lineup. The timing was so tight at the moment, so the production offered them to play just their new EP, which are only three songs.
Yeah I specifically remember this. Everyone was turning around to leave while they reset the stage and they came on and announced YoTK was gonna play a special set. Caught everyone off guard and they immediately turned around and darted back to the stage and started going nuts. Can’t remember who played before, but I think Knife just used their equipment.
She’s made huge strides. Think she’s walking on her own now. She definitely has a tough road ahead but everything has been pretty encouraging in recent updates I’ve seen.

The Year Of The Knife's set was a surprise. They weren't even on the lineup. The timing was so tight at the moment, so the production offered them to play just their new EP, which are only three songs.
Yeah I specifically remember this. Everyone was turning around to leave while they reset the stage and they came on and announced YoTK was gonna play a special set. Caught everyone off guard and they immediately turned around and darted back to the stage and started going nuts. Can’t remember who played before, but I think Knife just used their equipment.
