@@nicko7238 that's because those parts are on the backing track, which is running during the whole set and being recorded along with the actual performance. It's not 'dubbed'. You know nothing.

Novelists spoil the hell out of their fans with the amount and quality of content they’ve been releasing. Dropping a free virtual concert on us out of nowhere is crazy. Can’t get enough of these guys

I enjoyed this band, but now with the new vocalist, you guys are unlistenable.
She has no energy, no ability to sing, scream and has no place being in the band.
Novelists never had female vocals, so why start now?
Vexxed, and Lacuna Coil, saviours, make them suffer, drown this city.
List goes on.
This woman isn't fit for a career in music.
The vocalist does more awkward standing without any movement, than any vocal movements.
Seriously, she has no place in the metal community if she isn't passionate.
But that just one issue of many, big issue, however she needs to get vocal lessons.
Been listening to metal since 2007, as in actual proper metal outside of Metallica and Judas Priest / iron maiden.
So i can safely say, she has 200% less energy than anyone who has come before her within the metal space.
This is a live show, yet she stands around.
Now tell me, why would anyone pay for a ticket to see you guys.
All for you to stand there like a bottle of piss.
Plus shes not even easy on the eyes, so, no passion, no looks, no vocal ability, the fuck she doing there.

Camille is such an awesome vocalist. It’s not easy to perform older songs which were recorded with lower voices, with a higher voice but fuck me, she’s CRUSHING it 🔥🔥🔥 one of my favorite vocalists

If you dislike this band now for whatever reason, I fiercely campaign that you see them live.
You will absolutely change your mind and stop crying about their current sound and direction.
The supremacy of their first records is undeniable, but this new era is just as elite in its own right.
Camille is not Matteo, nor does she need to be.
She's just as outstanding and exceptional; she's unmatched in her timing, power, consistency, charisma, engagement, and crowd control.
She brings her own heat to Matteo's era; and with no shade or disrespect to Tobias, she also breathes proper life into the songs from Deja Vu.
Flo and Pierre have massive guitar tones and play flawlessly.
Amael is a machine and doesnt miss.
Nico brought the thunder and you could feel it in your chest from the back of the venue.
Even the merch guy was fuckin cool.
They were all chill and accomodating af when we met them at the merch booth.
It was worth every mile we drove and every dollar we spent.
Put some respect on their names.
I never knew this band but thanks to YT algorithms I instantly got hooked. Hi from Japan.

@@Prof.Pwnalot I disagree, not completely, but disagree: "old" Novelists (which I love no matter if it was Matteo or Tobias) songs were written with strengths of their vocalists in mind. New stuff fits Camille very well, even some older stuff. She's great singer, obviously exteme vocals isn't her number one thing (even thought she noticeably improved her screams since Turn It Up), but time will show.

some of the most underrated guitarists in modern metal. the riffs are strategically placed throughout all the songs, rather than placed in a set bridge/breakdown section. not to mention Camille's voice sounds even BETTER live than she does on recording. she will definitely get the recognition she deserves like Courtney from Spiritbox.
I knew having her as their new vocalist was a good decision for the band haha

This is bloody awesome, Camille fits in so well, I loved her on smoke signals! also big love for putting this together for people who couldn't see you live (yet).
She made the chorus on that song so underwhelming. The way Tobias performed it had so much power, and I believe thats how its supposed to be. Not hating tho...

@@Volgin. it’s a studio session where you wanna sound as best as possible for 40 min, best not to go all out at the beginning & potentially wear out your voice, as a one take on its own she could easily take it to the next level
@@py16667 I disagree. Since this is a one off studio session, and they're not on tour, voice wear shouldn't be that much of a concern. It's the same as being on studio recording. You wanna do your best and throw as much energy as you can, if that's how "it's meant to be" (by this I mean staying true to the original). Like I said before, I'm not hating, it's just constructive criticism.

This was unreal, so glad the band did this. If anyone had ANY doubts about Camille's ability to hold her own with the old catalogue, I hope this shuts down any more haters. This iteration of the band is phenomenal and absolutely one of my favorite bands in the scene today

When I tell you I was so excited when I found out Camille was going to be the new singer for Novelists, I cried tears of joy. Her performance in Cest la vie was one of my favorite songs of you guys. But hearing her sing some of the other songs I actually cried again and again. This band has shaped my music taste, my love of life, and helped me in the darkest times of my life. And you forever never cease to amaze me in the talent and technicality you all possess. This is easily my favorite band of all time. And to me personally nothing will change that. Just pure amazing talent. All of you are truly brilliant musicians, and thank you for helping me in the toughest parts of my life….thank you.

Gosh, this is such a nice performance video! Being pretty new to the band, something like this is an excellent video to just let play to watch and/or listen, and a really great reference point to share! Simple and good looking aesthetics, humble performances, and a really nice variety to feel out the band! Novelists are one of the most pleasant music discoveries for me in awhile!

These guys are just so good. I'm loving this era with Camille as well. I think she fits perfectly. I also love that Pierre and Flo can take me back to being young, listening to Satriani, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, etc...and being mesmerized. They are at that level, 💯. Big love to this band! 🍻
